I highly recommend Proven Termite Solutions. Our home inspection report indicated that we had an active termite infestation, so I requested a few companies for an inspection. PTS was the best in terms of price and service. Our inspector Ryan Cornelius was very professional, thorough and pleasant to work with. After a complete inspection, he recommended soil treatment for subterranean terminates, and wood treatment & fumigation for drywood termites. They also offer local treatments for drywood termites, but Ryan advised us that fumigation was appropriate for our current termite situation. I own a very large 2-story home with a basement. After I discovered that I had termites in my house, I called several different termite companies to get estimates and advice on how to handle the problem. Among the companies, I discovered that the estimate from Proven Termite Solutions was the best around. There were two quotes; (1) spot spraying and (2) complete home fumigation. Based on my research and discussions with Proven Termite Solutions rep (Ryan), I decided to go with the complete home fumigation. I made a second call to their excellent rep and I was able to get a discount and a very good warranty. Warranty is very important to me for peace of mind and that they would be there for me if needed in the future. My discussion with the rep gave me the reassurance that I needed. We decided to schedule time for the fumigation work to be done. I called the office and dealt with several people and all of them were very, very nice. They were extremely accommodating with my schedule. The forms were emailed to me, PG&E shut-down was scheduled, etc. Special bags were provided to me and I was given instructions on how to properly prepare, bag and store my foods. I cannot stress how great they were to work with, very accommodating in all aspects. The people that did the tenting and fumigation were EXCELLENT. Very nice crew and good/honest, and hard working people. They helped me in moving outdoor plants, prepped around my TV antenna, the fence, etc. They went out of their way to make sure that all the tenting was done properly. At the same time, answered all my many questions. The second day, the people that started the venting process were also extremely nice and answered all my questions. The third day, the crew removed the tenting and did the reading around the property to make sure that there was no gas and issued a certificate for safe entry into the property. PG&E came over and turned on the gas thereafter. We returned to our home and everything was in perfect condition and all of our property intact and remained safe and secure. I was offered to hire security to watch my property, but I decided to stay nearby for a couple of days instead. After scheduling the fumigation, they were punctual on Day 1 of our fumigation and straightforward with their instructions on how to prepare our home. Luckily our home was completely empty as we hadn't moved in yet and were just waiting for this to be completed before moving in. Fumigation was straight forward and Andrew sent me a text with pictures of the existing roof damage before they tented our home which I appreciated. After our fumigation and sub treatment, they let us know and provided instructions for turning back on our gas line through PG&E. After doing a quick walk through of our home, we noticed the edges of our baseboards and walls leading to our crawl space access was damaged and cracked (our walls and baseboards were literally painted professionally a few days before our fumigation/sub treatment) and I called Andrew to inquire what had happened. He was very professional about it and provided excellent customer service by describing that they typically bring in a hose from the outside that goes through the home into the crawl space to treat the areas and that their team typically protects the sides of the wall when they drag the hose around inside the home but they failed to do so in this case. Andrew offered to cover the expenses to re-paint the walls/baseboards that were damaged and insured that this would never happen again. Prompt responses and competitive quotes based on an inspection report I had from another company. On the day of the service, the crew arrived on time and took good care to ensure the home was left clean after they were done. They also helped check a couple of additional locations that weren't called out in our report. The inspector is also available and happy to answer questions and guide you through the process. Taking away 1 star because the scheduling was a bit painful, they only provide you with a service date and not a time. The time is determined and communicated the day before your service and there is no way to change it. So basically I had to free up an entire work day to wait for the crew and perform a 15min service! This is not efficient! read more

We chose Proven Termite Solutions about two years ago to fumigate our home for Drywood Termites. After calling multiple exterminators (Clark, Orkin, Terminix etc.), Proven Termite Solutions was the only termite company who did not contract the fumigation to another company. Ross came to explain all the details and preparation. The service crew arrived and did everything they were supposed to save a small issue with putting one of the boards back in the fence. I followed up with Ross and he came out to hammer the board back into the fence. Here we are two years later with termites again and this time Ryan came to do the inspection and estimate. This new infestation is Subterranean Termites. Ryan explained these were the most damaging and aggressive but they are also the easiest to treat (no fumigation this time). And since we are repeat customers, he gave us a 10% discount. On the day of the appointment, the service guys arrived as expected, performed the work (drilled into the ground and injected treatment into the soil all around the perimeter of the house). They were polite and diligent in doing the work and when they were done, they walked us around to show us the areas they treated. How often does it happen when you call the termite guy and they come out, crawl in your attic, and tell you "Nope, you don't need our services"? That's never happened to me before today. Jim came out, explained the termites we saw were normal swarming and not to do anything until we sound the termite droppings. The other company we called did NOT look in the attic and said "$1,800 and there is a 3 year guarantee." Note: It actually takes them only a few minutes to do that work so the spot treatment termite work is hugely profitable. So we took Jim's advice and wouldn't hesitate to call PTS again in the future. He lists out in detail what is provided in his quotes, sticks to his word, and he will not suggest for you to do additional work that is not necessary. I got to know about PTS by my contractor and a friend. I first called the office to request a free inspection. Ryan Cornelius was the inspector on site who gave instructions later to the crew of subterranean and fumigation. Ryan was very patient and experienced, he explained the whole process in details and provided me helpful guidance regarding the preparation work and key items. I wasn't on site during the subs treatment. The other day I found that some parts of the exterior were not complete - no drilled holes. I called Ryan and learned that the team left the pavers intact for the reason that there was no homeowner's consent and they worried the pavers will break. Upon my request, the subs team came back again and completed the treatment on the pavers. Several days in advance of the fumigation, Ryan called me and let me send the photos of the house to ensure all the preparation work is done. Both the subs team and fumigation team are professional. Jorge Gonzalez of Proven Termite came to my aid yesterday without an appointment when I discovered swarming termites in my primary bathroom. The office made an exception for him to come that day, fitting me into his busy schedule. He quickly determined that the termites were coming outside from the high vertical window. He drilled a tiny hole on the wall on each side of the window, filled it with a toxic foam, & put in a filler which makes the hole disappear. After that I onlysaw one of the termites, & all is well.
