I can't say enough great things about Citra. I subscribed to their bimonthly service plan, and it's one of the best decisions that I've made since moving into my current home. I originally contacted Citra after the city of San Jose stopped spraying, which resulted in a huge uptick in pests (primarily spiders and roaches) in my garage that were starting to find their way into my house. OFFICE STAFF When I first called Citra, I spoke with Tonya (sp?) who is fantastic and one of the main reasons I decided to go with Citra. Tonya is friendly, knowledgeable, and patiently answered all of my questions without any hard sell. PRICING I've been a Citra customer for a few years now, so I don't know if this is still accurate, but at the time that I enrolled, Citra's pricing was competitive with other services. It's 100% worth it to have a pest-free home. SERVICE The last few visits, I've had a tech named Michael who does a great job! During my bimonthly service, we discuss if I'm seeing any new pests so he can adjust what he applies based on the types of pests. Then he inspects for signs of pest activity, knocks down cobwebs and wasp & yellow jacket nests, replaces traps, and sprays inside my garage and around the exterior of my house. I appreciate how thorough he is. GUARANTEE One of the best things about the bimonthly plan is that, if needed, Citra will re-treat areas and replace traps in-between the bimonthly appointments. I've had lizards and a snake(!) get caught in the traps, so I was super relieved that Citra sent over a tech to take care of them. PET-FRIENDLY OPTIONS Another really great thing about Citra is they offer earth-friendly, pet-safe options. I have two dogs, so I don't want to expose them to toxic sprays. SCHEDULING Lastly, Citra is great about helping me reschedule appointments when needed. I appreciate that they allow that flexibility and staff adequately, so I don't have to wait for weeks when I need to reschedule or request that they send over a tech (i.e. to change traps or re-treat.) Today we were visited by Michael, with CITRA Pest Control. We have had Citra for about 2 1/2 years, with no problems. This morning, although it was raining, Michael called to let me know that he would be at my house in about 30 minutes. When he knocked on the door, I said ," It's raining, how can you spray in the rain ?". He told me that the chemicals that they use are water based and activated by water so that they actually do better when it's raining. Like l said previously, we have had CITRA for about 2 1/2 years, the first yr they came out and sprayed inside once, and outside monthly. After a year, they now come out every other month, which makes it affordabl, plus, we don't have any ants in the house. read more

Andrew was the one who came to my house and sprayed my kitchen and bathroom since that was my issue with the German Roaches. He explained everything that he was going to do and what to do afterwards to help with my issue that I have been having. He was also very polite and non judgemental. The only downside, for me specifically, is their scheduling. They contact you out of the blue and tell you your technician is scheduled for the next day. This is very inconvenient and I wish their system would allow for consistent scheduling ex. every two months on the 5th. Their current system results in me having to reschedule every time they contact me. Started searching for a local pest control business because we've been dealing with an ant colony living outside or inside the south facing wall of our home for several years. This happens to be a magnet because it's the kitchen area. Tried sealing openings around dish washer and even electrical outlets, but they keep finding entry points. Decided on just one quote from Citra based on all of the positive reviews on Yelp. Called the office on Sat, 07/19 and spoke with Stacy. She provided me with a pretty detailed overview of services offered and recommended a one-year commitment after initial treatment. Thought about it over the weekend, and it was pretty clear I needed help because the ants were having a field day the following Monday. The pricing was reasonable after I asked one of my family how much their local pest control service costs. Spoke to Stacy again and setup an appointment for first thing the next day, Tuesday. Jose Garcia showed up around 9AM on 07/22 and was cordial and professional. He treated the outside and the inside of our home focusing primarily in the kitchen, living spaces and bathrooms. We had to be out of the house as standard precaution for 2-3 hours, so I took son out for a brunch. The ant bait (gel) that Jose used is extremely effective because the ants quickly found another entry point from one of our bay window cranks and went to town on the stuff placed at three locations around the sill. It was initially freaky to see so many ants crawling around so I wiped them up in areas others than where the ant bait was placed and sprayed some vinegar/water mix to keep them inside a perimeter. They eventually just ate most of the bait and went back to their colony. Since that day, there have been no ants in our kitchen! And my son even noticed the sewer roaches outside the house were belly up the next morning. Thank you Citra. read more

We had a significant amount of spider webs showing up on the exterior of our house and I was worried that the spiders would start making their way into the house. Called Citra for an initial appointment to assess the property and they were very professional and helpful. They de-webbed the exterior of the house and did the first treatment. By the 2nd treatment, we already saw a noticeable reduction in new spider webs showing up. We've been having them come for treatment service once a quarter and they always start with de-webbing where needed and apply the treatment. We have a dog and they always make sure to check if the dog is indoors / out of the way for treatment and let us know how long to wait after treatment before the dog can go outside. My property management company uses them. Yeah so heres the thing, i feel bad giving them one star because the workers do try i just think that maybe the training isn't up to snuff. Being in the marines where they train you to think have i done everything possible to eliminate a problem is something i take very seriously. So, we had a rat die in our crawl space and citra sent sum guys out but they could not get to the dead rat. So I crawled thru our crawl space in two different areas and I couldn't get to the rat either so i will say they did try. BUT i am not a professional in the rat industry. I went onto AI to see what my options are. I told AI the situation and it gave me a simple answer. Professional HVAC Odor Neutralizers and a fogger are needed to neutralize the smell and decontaminate the HVAC system. So citra hung a bag near my furnace but this did little to help the smell. So I MYSELF who is NOT A PROFESSIONAL. Had to buy two products that cost me about 120 dollars and I will have to handle the problem myself. I do not recommend using this company for a problem with dead rats in hard to reach places. They are more of a deterrent like placing traps sealing holes that sort of thing, more complex problems are more suited for other companies. Sorry to the workers cause i am a blue collar guy myself but if i have to solve the problem with my own money you get 1 star, ive got kids and i live in san jose its expensive around here. read more
