Updated: I change my review from 1 to 4 stars for the owner being honest and owning their mistake. I appreciate he reached out quickly once saw my review. It's been 3 days and nobody calls me back. I made sure it is Bugmaster, as I am aware of the owner said some people called complaining about another business with similar name. Now I started thinking it's just his way of response to cover up for the fact that they won't call you back, although they say they will have an exterminator call you back within the day. Dave and Jake are the experienced, dedicated and up-and-coming leader of the pest control industry. With our house being a 3 story, Spanish tiled, y'all ceiling home, the project of getting into our attic was a difficult one. After other incumbents had seen the job and recommended, that they were getting too out of shape and feeling too "experienced" to be "doing jobs like this", Jake and Dave assures us they could take it on. With a friendly and cost effective estimate ahead of time, and a thorough review, Bug Master confirmed they could do the job. What apparently was a set of pidgeons, who had found a way to outsmart a new home design in our neighborhood, these birds would fly underneath a metal rain covering on our roof and foster their way into a ventilation space that the covering was providing. As they noted the pidgeons flying from home to home, they were the first crew to identify the entry point. After scheduling for a cool day, a little prayer while Dave was up there, and a light check to the crew to make sure we were buttoned up on our agreements (removal vs scaring them, warranty, etc) we were well on our way to success. Dave would go on to ensure each bird would take their most natural course of removal and clean up a bit after them. Now of course, this being our first rodeo, we would have to call Dave back. My lovely wife had appeared to them entering again. As Dave came by again, he would explain the distance and current persistence of the pidgeons to get back into a familiar place. His education and care, at no charge (for those a little stingy like me), makes this review even easier. Bug Master is the kind, friendly, intelligent pest control company you want to deal with. Jake is a professional who took care of our ant invasion after the first rain in the fall of 2021.  On the first visit, he assessed the situation, identified the species of ant (argentine, of course!), and gave options on what he could do. Historically, we've used Terro baits and granules to stave off the first wave, but it didn't seem to be working this time.  We called in Jake after a few weeks of DIYing it and he was very professional and courteous in giving feedback on things we were could potentially improve, like removing access to food sources (cat's kibbles), using a slower acting bait, and suggesting we treat the external source.  Jake walked the property multiple times on multiple occasions to see if he could identify clues to where the colony could be. What really warrants the 5-stars though is Jake's attention to customer service.  We were in constant contact over text on how the situation was improving (bait takes some time) and he would stop by when he was in the area to double check that we were making progress.  Overall, we got the impression that Jake is on our team and looking out for us long term, taking ownership of the whole situation from initial treatment to sustained maintenance. read more

We had a severe ant problem in the house. We signed up with Aptiv before who came, sprayed and changed nothing. I had to manage myself using Terro baits and caulking crevices. I was unable to fully solve the problem regardless. I called Bugmaster for consultation and the owner was very responsive. I recently had a rat infestation at my place and reached out to few companies using Yelp. Bugmaster was first one to respond within a few minutes. They were very prompt through out the conversation and very courteous too. Understood my problem and scheduled the inspection as soon as the next day. I spoke to other vendors as well later but none of them was able to schedule anything for next 3-4 days. On site technician David came on time and was following covid protocols and wore a mask and she covers while inspecting my house. He did a thorough inspection, listened to me patiently and gave answers. I think i must have asked 15-20 questions and he responded pretty well to my satisfaction. After all that he suggested that one of the things I am already trying for rat infestation is a good solution and I can try doing that. He could have charged my 100s of dollars by selling his service but he was very honest and considerate.
