Derek was the 4th home theater installation company I had out to my house. He was able to meet at my house earlier than our original appointment to do the quote. I was being quoted between 2-4,000 just for mounting three TV and hiding the wiring. When Derek came over he said its pretty basic what I want and there is problem mounting one of the TVs the way I wanted it mounted. The main TV in the living room we wanted mounted on a all brick fireplace. We were told and quoted outrageously amounts of money to get the wires hidden in the chimney/fireplace. Derek arrived on time and did a perfect job. His prices were more than fair and he definitely brought way more value to me than expected. He cleaned up after himself and has a good sense of humor. I hired Galaz Electronics to install a digital antenna on my rooftop so I could get free OTA local channels. Derek did an excellent job attaching my antenna to my chimney and connected it to 2 of my TVs. I even purchased an antenna preamp to get a better signal but he determined that it wasn't necessary since I was already getting a good signal with just my antenna. G.E.I. Has saved the day! I tried mounting my own t.v.to the wall Needless to say I had speaker wires laying on my fireplace mantle with an exposed extension cord also laying on the mantle. After about a week of staring at wires called GEI and Derek came the very next day and made my problems disappear. So I finally bought a flat screen TV and wanted the thing mounted on a wall. Not wanting to destroy my new purchase or punch holes through my walls I called around to some of the national big box stores who offered installation services. After getting the usual run around on the phone along with astronomical quotes I decided to try a local guy. I found Derek on-line and called him up. I also can't say enough about how good Derek Galaz is! He set up our new smart tv,sound system, vcr,dvd, and the record player into our new receiver. Called Derek based on his Yelp reviews and am very happy I did so. He mounted my 60 inch plasma in my living room, re-routed the cable line since I was moving the TV to a different wall, and installed an electrical outlet up high on the wall for the mounted TV to plug into. I supplied my own SANUS mount which had the option of being flush mounted or tilt mounted. I opted for the tilt option to give the proper ventilation needed for the heat given off by my plasma TV (plasma TVs run hotter than LCD or LED TVs). As I watched him work there is no question he has done this many, many times. Watching him work also made me happy I didn't do the work myself as it's a little more work than I thought. His knowledge and quality of work was well worth what I paid. The TV was perfectly level and really transformed my living room into a much more modern looking space (I was really surprised at the difference this made). Derek vacuumed up my carpet and left my room as clean as when he arrived. I'm a pretty particular person and like things done right rather than "good enough".
