I hired Mission Electric, and while the work was ultimately completed, the overall experience wasn't what I expected. The delay in the project was acknowledged, but the customer service through the process left me disappointed. Communicate and follow/ through were inconsistent, and I had to reach out myself to get updates. I called and spoke with Robert the owner. He scheduled me with his first available appointment. On the day of my appointment not only did he call ahead as I had asked, he was able to move me up in his schedule a little bit. He arrived on time with his technician, tools in hand and prepared to start the job. After assessing my needs, he quickly went to work and repaired my electrical issue. I'm so thankful I was able to get on his schedule or I wouldn't have had an oven over the holiday weekend. I needed an existing fan removed and a new one put up. Quoted $175. Ended up I had a part that could fix the existing fan all it entailed was a small box with five wires to come out and new one to go in. They charged $150 to do this. This is there minimum charge. No old fan came down and no new fan went up.. feels wrong in my opinion I was more than fine with the $175 quote for removing and installing a new fan.... read more

I emailed Robert because we were having problems with our kitchen lights. They were installed by Richard and his crew when we remodeled our kitchen in 2019. The lights kept going out because the breaker kept tripping. He suggested we call PG&E. So we did. PG&E came out the same day on a Sunday and they fixed it! There was a bad connection on the pole next door. I am so glad it was able to be fixed so quickly and that Robert knew what to do. read more

Here is a play by play of my experience with this company. First I call and schedule an appointment for a Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon I get a phone call letting me know he forgot about his appointment and would like a reschedule. I rescheduled with him. Second appointment he showed up. I explained to him a few times what I wanted. To replace 4 cfl cans with led cans and 4cfl bulbs with led kits. Charge was $550 which is crazy high since unscrewing the lightbulb and putting the kit I supplied in was $25 each. Lol. Oh well I agreed to the price cause I was lazy and looking for a seamless experience. Workers show up. Late but show up. Two of them knock out the work in 2 hours flat. So yes I paid $250 an hour for the two of them lol. Workers left finger prints all over my ceiling around the lights they replaced that I had to paint. I tried to pay the workers twice and they refused to take my money said their boss would come later that day to collect. My wife then got home and tried to pay them. They also declined her money. Little over a month goes by and they call and let me know they would like to collect on the work that was done a few months ago. No real apology in the poor communication. Overall I would give the workers 4/5 the owner or manager would be 0/5. Super disorganized and would recommend a different company. read more

I wanted Mission Electric to be the solution to my needs. It doesn't seem there are many good choices in my area and after seeing all the positive 5 star reviews I set out to make this happen. I called their office and mobile number multiple times on different days at different times, no one ever answered. I then went directly to their website and submitted a request, no one ever replied or contacted me. Finally I requested a quote through yelp, which currently says they respond in 6 hours and have a high response rate. Days later I received a very short and simple email with a quote for the work. I responded with ok lets set up an appointment and provided my address and contact info. It has been a week now and I have not been contacted in any form. This has all been over the course of about a month and is ridiculously to long to try to get in contact with someone. I have used Yelp in the past, but this is my first review. I believe this drove me to my first review because with so many good reviews it should not take so long and so many different methods of contact to get a hold of someone. Maybe the work I requested was not worth the time and money, but at least any response or explanation would of been appreciated. read more

Asked for a quote and inspection while in the processes of buying a house. He pushed back on not coming out even though I was willing to pay the $200 for someone to do the inspection. I sent him pictures as requested to get a quote from him. I closed on the house and got half the credit for his quote. I called to schedule him to come out and upgrade my electrical panel. He started the process for permits and paperwork. Mind you he still hasn't come out to the property. He called me back after about two weeks to tell me he messed up on quoting me and that because it's an underground line the price would be several thousand dollars more. I was pretty upset since we closed on the house and got a credit for this upgrade based on his quote, but I was still willing to work it out and maybe get the work done. I asked him to find out the costs and give me the updated prices. He said he would call back with the information. I never received a call back. read more

A year ago, I called them about an issue I had with one of my dimmer switches. Hector came out the same day and installed a new one for me! This month, I called them to install a conduit for a hot tub I purchased. Due to COVID, the delivery kept getting delayed, I kept having to reschedule. Robert was very understanding about it and was able to fit me into his schedule. Hector and Robert did an amazing job and it looked very nice. They even got the tub up and running for me. Robert has been to my older home twice to fix my numerous electrical issues. The last time half my outlets stopped working. Horrendous. They did the electrical on our newly built home but we had an issue where we didn't have power on one side of the house where our master was. Made no effort to fit us in so that we could get power back, we were without power for two and a half weeks... Had to use multiple flashlights/candles just so we could shower and move around our master bedroom. Ended up being a simple fix due to confusion about a sub panel, and CHARGED us nearly three hundred dollars for "drive time". Did not seem to care about the inconvenience it caused us.
