I Love our AHS, I dont know why I had not done a review yet,..We had a terrible storm in Tri valley and we came home and my AHS still worked..it was only thing working for 2 days...so dark and proved to be a great choice! Very modern System love that I can monitor our home, and get instant notification when some one is at door ( We dont have a peek hole on front door) AHS staff are super prompt and courteous. I submitted an online inquiry on Thurs 03/16 to leverage AHS to mount 4 TVs and re-hook up our receiver and subwoolfer to the pre-wired surround sound system in our new home. Having not heard back, I also called AHS on Mon 03/20 and was told by a woman who answered that "Jim" handles the online inquiries. She took down my contact info and said would let him know I also called. Today is now Thurs 03/23 and zero contact has been made. I am disappointed as I previously purchased my receiver and subwoolfer from AHS and had them mount TVs and install outlets to hide the wires back in 2017 and was very pleased. And thought I would give them my business again versus reaching out to a competitor. I feel having waited 1 week for at a least an acknowledgement phone call was very reasonable. This is the second time I've contacted Arvin Home Systems and I am very glad I did. The company has kind people who have the customer in mind and not profit . Matt came out to check out my security cameras (ones that they did not install) and recommended I order a new part to see if it would solve the problem . He also gave me several other options and never tried to sell me anything ( Like many other companies sadly tend to do ). Luckily, the part I ordered online worked! I already used Arvin for my security system install and monitoring. Recently I had my security cameras upgraded. The installers were very efficient and knowledgeable . The final step was to be sure that the app was fully working on my cell phone to monitor the cameras. What should have been an easy task became a series of phone calls with the manufacturer tech support since the steps followed did not initially work. Through all of that, the installers stayed until it was working 100% with the app used on my phone. It impressed me how patient & professional they were. I tried on numerous occasions to hire them and wasted a lot of time having them come out to visit my home, and office and explain what I needed. Calling their office was another complete waste of time because their receptionist could never schedule anything, answer any questions, always had to contact someone in the field, and apparently could never even return a phone call. Prior to installation, they listened to my concerns regarding short-term and long-term goals and helped me pick a system advanced enough to grow, but still within my budget. Working around plaster walls, old electrical, and tight access hatches could have been a nightmare but their team was experienced and patient enough to get the job done right. After installation, I had a few tweaks I wanted to make once I understood more about how to use the system. They scheduled a followup and stayed until I was completely happy. We had video cameras installed on the 31st and we could not be more thrilled! Arvin staff was courteous, professional, efficient and very knowledgeable. We will use them for any future home installations, and we recommend them hands-down! At one point they decided that they required more equipment so they called in support and before we knew it they were done! They knew what they were doing and did a great job. Anytime we have had an issue with our alarm they come out ASAP. Arvin has always been very receptive to my calls and their rates are less than anyone else as far as I know! I'm sure whatever cable they laid for my home has been just right because I haven't had any problems with anything except the battery that needed to be changed every few years, but that was stated in the instructions that it would go out in about 9 yrs. great job, Arvin!! read more

As a recent new home buyer, I've had to deal with Arvin Home Systems twice and both times they did an excellent job. The first job was done by Jimmy. In my master closet I had a structured wire panel that had wires everywhere. Jimmy did a great job cleaning everything up and even wiring up another outlet closer to the panel. He did an excellent job. My next job was a TV mount, 5.1 speaker install, receiver install, and a wireless access point set up. This time Rob and Bryan came in to do the job. These guys did an excellent job. Everything looks good especially the wire concealment where they are behind the walls. The TV looks good, and the speakers are awesome. I've never had such nice sounding speakers, as well as the way my room looks. And this was the one room that the WIFI sucked in the house. Now, I got full bars on my phone and tablet here. An extra added bonus with all three installers was their attitude. They're very courteous, knowledgeable, and came on time. We had Arvin out to our home to give us a bid on replacing our tv and components. They said they couldn't get a bid to us that same week but would get one emailed to us early the next week. It's been 3 weeks since they were at our home and still no bid. We called the owner and he seemed like he could care less that his company did not follow through with their word. NO APOLOGY WHATSOEVER . Over 5000$ job lost to poor customer service and even more poor management! I did not appreciate them wasting my time holding me up waiting for an estimate when I could have just moved on with my first bid. read more

These folks are fantastic! They came and wired my house with CAT-6, did my satellite pre-wire and terminated it all to a 24 port patch panel with an A/V box in my new closet of awesomeness. I had these guys out twice. First time was to install 4 speakers in the roof in the family room and also install 2 speakers in the master bed and hang the flatscreen on the wall. Great job, I love the speakers that they put in the roof in my family room, great product. I provided them with all the product for the master bed and these guys made it look so beautiful, Jimmy and 2 other guys came over, very professional, cleaned up as they went along and left no dust in either room. They billed me for labor and the speakers and because they spent less time than anticipated reduced my bill. Most companies wouldnt do this. Great work guys. So Jimmy was over again today with another guy, using all my gear - hang an old plasma and soundbar. Another great job that looks really nice. Oh and they came and got the job done within a week. Oh and these guys wont sell you stuff you dont need. Matt was my sales guy, i was interested in some security cameras, after looking at the layout of my house told me it would be expensive but one way to go was to get one of those smart door bells as they have a camera built in and can alert you to when people are close by. It would also be a lot cheaper. If i have any more AV wiring needs then these guys get a good job done. I will be using them again as I bet I will be hanging more TVs. read more

Jim Reed came to the new home we purchased and explained to us the different type of alarm systems they would help us with. We have one in the home but wanted an upgrade to a smart system. I mentioned we were not interested in a monthly payment or contract. He said no problem he would write up some quotes and send to me. He never sent an email or a follow-up phone to call. If he wasn't into the project or it was too complicated for him he should have been real and said so in some form or another but zero response. I decided to contact this company based on the 4 star reviews. That's where the positive ended. I filled out their online questioner and a someone did contact me the next day. She asked if she could help and I told her what I wanted. Then she said I'll give your info to Matt, who's on vacation now, but he'll get back to you. Why waste my time? Why not tell me from the get go? Two weeks go by and "Matt" didn't get back to me! No one did. I called back and left a voicemail this time. Still no one has called back!
