I called Jesse on Monday, to book him for a Saturday install. I had him mount my 50 inch plasma & sound bar, tuck power from sound bar, tuck optical cable, install power outlet, and run 2 HDMI cables from plasma to my HD receiver and Blu-Ray player. I basically went by the positive reviews I saw here. Long story short, Jesse is the man! He was punctual, professional, efficient, friendly, and just down to earth. I found Home Theater Experts on craigslist and decided to give them a call. I spoke to Jesse about concealing some wiring on a newly mounted 50" flat screen above a gas powered fireplace in my new apartment. After speaking with Jesse I decided to send him some pictures of the potential job. All of his responses were very timely and was even gracious enough to work with my schedule and do the job on the same day! After arriving, Jesse completed the install in a timely fashion and was even kind enough to remove the piece of plywood that I initially mounted the tv on, and remount the tv above the fireplace onto the pre existing studs that I didn't realize were there. Jesse also concealed the wiring to my sound bar mounted right below the flat screen. All in all, Jesse did an outstanding job along with an amazing price! Best buy wanted $299 to mount my television above my fireplace. I said forget it, I'm going to do it myself. For the heck of it, I searched on Craigslist and found Jesse. I checked out his reviews and was skeptical about all the 5 star ratings. He was able to squeeze me in the late evening, even showing up 30 minutes ahead of time which was fine. Regardless, I was still apprehensive of Jesse installing the brand new $2K plasma. To add on to that, the significant other is extremely picky about the television being straight and centered given the fact I screwed up our tv mounting in the bedroom. To further top on to that mountain of worry, the wifey would probably hate me forever if this no-namer I found on the Internet screwed everything up. I was almost ready to send Jesse away at even the slightest look of confusion on his part, but he walked right in, confident about our intended mounting location, the plasma we purchased, and even recognized the cheap mounting bracket I found on Amazon. This gave me a moment of relief even with the wife quietly and sternly staring at me from behind in the kitchen. She really didn't need to drink water for the 4th time. I can go on and on about her continually roaming about the house with her sudden desires to vacuum and clean the house at 9pm at night when in fact she was just spying on our project activities, but that would just be completely ridiculous. In the end, Jesse completed the effort flawlessly and with time to spare. He even solved the issue of fitting my HDMI cables by installing thicker rubber washers between the tv and the bracket. The guy knows what he is doing and I'll have him back to do some ethernet wiring in the near future. Jesse is unassuming and doesn't come wearing a "geek squad" uniform, but he is professional, knows his craft, and doesn't charge you fees that don't make any sense. He was on time (5 min early in fact) he came in, measured, put up a couple of tape markers, drilled, put the bracket in place, asked me to help put the tv up (which took 30 seconds) and BAM he was done! Efficient and effective, but not one for small talk. Don't let the casual jeans and tshirt look fool you. This guy knows his craft! So why the 4 stars? Best Buy Geek Squad quoted me over $370 just to mount the tv, not including the hiding of wires etc. I read these reviews and contacted Jesse. I am glad I did. He promptly returned my call and setup an install the next day early morning. He came from San Jose to San Ramon on time. He explained to me everything he was about to do so there were no surprises. He has his own HDMI's with various lengths so you don't have to go out and buy them. They are 3D capable btw. He was professional, took off his shoes, laid a sheet for all the dust and debris that flew around. When he was done, he used my vacuum to clean up afterwards. He threw everything in a paper trash bag so I could easily throw it in our bin. My 46 LCD 3D Samsung was mounted in about 2 hours, all the cables are concealed and I am very happy man. He hooked up my DISH network, samsung blu-ray player and Google Tv which need a coupler- because My HDMI didn't reach- all I have to do is connect 2 HDMI's and the problem is solved.
