We had an issue with our alarm from early morning(4am) text messages that went out to my wife and I, as well as everyone on our emergency contact list. The text says something like Trbl zone 209....looking into it, it seems we have a zone fault: most likely a dead battery on one of our sensors. So I obviously call ABS and find out that Doug has sold the company. The new company cannot find my account anywhere after multiple calls. I finally tell them that I am an ABS customer for more than 20 years and from what I heard Doug sold the company, all the sudden they know what file to look under. I am promised a callback. This happens five different times after complaints. I finally really do get a call back promise. That never happened. I called back again and complain and say this is the fifth time I've called the lady apologizes and says somebody will call me back and tells me that they are looking into my alarm and when they come out I will need to sign a three-year contract to fix the problem. I have been a customer with you for probably close to 30 years so that is the dumbest thing you could tell me, that statement alone lost my business. If you want to come out and fix a two dollar battery on a sensor and make me sign a three-year contract I will now look for a new monitoring company. You should've spent the two dollars and I would've been a customer for another 30 years your loss.

The work was messy and today really put a bad taste in my mouth. When one employee decides to do work without contacting his boss and gave my dad a price for what my dad asked for him to do. So I decided to call the company and they tell me all he is doing is helping my dad move a fridge. Making me out to look like a liar. As the employee is signing not to tell him what he was doing. About 10 minutes later, I got a call from the technician, Junior, who said he was in Lodi and would be here about 5...and he was! Junior was very professional, figured out the problem quickly (faulty gfci) and when he replaced the faulty gfci, he routed it, so in the future if it tripped, it would only affect the bathroom it was in, not the other rooms. The time didn't matter to me, I had breakers that went out and my AC stopped working, when I flipped the breaker I heard a sizzling sound. That's when I called Jose, I was worried I had or was going to have an electric fire. When Jose came he also heard the noise, which is always nice to know that what you heard was really there. He took a look at my panel tightened the breakers and checked the load, he went into detail everything he was doing, which I also appreciated. I informed him an electrician representative for AHS is scheduled to come out, so Jose wrote out what that electrician needs to do. Be Afraid! Be very afraid. While this company uses the ADT logo, they are not ADT. We purchased an…read moreexpensive system in March. We told them we only have Verizon in our area. They said they would install with a Verizon card. We now learned six months later our system has AT&T and not Verizon. We have not had security for six months while we believed we did. We have run into a wall with ADT who now says "too bad, you dealt with an authorized dealer not us." We can get a fix from ADT but cannot use our smart phones to monitor the security, which is precisely what we wanted in the first place. It is a shell game! We are locked into a two year contract and own the wrong equipment. Customer service has been terrible, ADT has all their answers to eliminate any their responsibility. Caveat Emptor!

We added two sconces in the living room, 4 lights per bedroom, a couple lights in the kitchen, and fan rated boxes for ceiling fans in the bedrooms,(fans to be installed at a later date by me). Tim and his team got the job done in a timely manner and I felt comfortable asking his advice on how to proceed with other electrical challenges at the house. Tim helped answer all my questions and found cost effective ways to get the job done for me. He left the lights slightly hanging down for me so that it would be easier to paint around them which showed that he was listening to where I was in the process of my remodel, and it was appreciated. Tim went above and beyond to meet my specific needs and answer my unique questions. He was realistic and I never felt like he pushed me to take the easy way out. We ended up adding a nice light for the garage to make it more work friendly at the end of the job. One thing I wish I would have known was that I was expecting to receive white faceplates on the light switches and outlets because I thought that's what you got when you "go modern" as I kept saying loosely, well I didn't specify and I got bone/beige colored throughout the house. I didn't know any better but you live and you learn. Not worth complaining about for my future rental. I would definitely give them my business again, and appreciate them making the trips to Oakdale to complete the job.
