I have had some really good experiences with work on Yelp, this was no different. Derek from the start was timely in responding, had availability and got me on the books quickly. I wanted a TV mounted in our guest room/office with the wires concealed. Derek communicated his arrival and arrived on time. When he arrived he was personable and got right to it. Excellent installers. This review is a little late since the install was about 3 years ago. But I've had no issues and so I decided to give a review. I requested to install an 85" TV in the living room with a Sonos sound bar and separate wireless subwoofer. I also bought a PS5 and asked them to install and route the wires. I asked for high quality wires that can handle 4K or higher and they made sure of it and showed me the box/manufacturer of the cables. I did buy an expensive TV mount but they told me that I would be better off buying a cheaper cost mount that extended better and recommended me one from Walmart. They weren't wrong. So I returned the expensive one. I appreciate their expertise and recommendation. They knew that I was very picky on installation details, routing wiring (especially hiding visible wires), mounting location and they did an excellent job. I would definitely hire them again. read more

I recently discovered Moonlight, a software that lets you stream your PC to any device in your home. Since building a new PC last fall--more powerful than any console--it made sense to skip buying an Xbox or PlayStation and use my computer instead. However, when I streamed to my old Xbox One, I noticed stuttering due to our all-WiFi setup. Despite having WiFi 6, I wanted to eliminate latency entirely, so I searched on Yelp for someone to run Cat6 cabling from my network equipment in the closet to my office PC (which also serves as our home server). After extensive research, I chose ProTVInstall due to their consistent, positive reviews--and they did not disappoint. Communication was prompt, and Derek was helpful in explaining that Cat6 was sufficient for my needs, saving me money over Cat6a. On installation day, Brandon arrived on time, listened to my requests, and got to work. Despite working solo, he efficiently ran the cable through the attic to the correct location after a few adjustments. I also requested hidden power cabling for a wall-mounted TV in the bedroom, which he handled seamlessly. He even cleaned up afterward--a thoughtful touch I didn't expect. The results? Incredible. My Ethernet connection delivered 233% faster download speeds compared to my Eero 6 WiFi mesh system. I'm beyond pleased with their professionalism, quality of work, and attention to detail. Derek and his team get 5 stars easily. They were super responsive when reaching out when I was contacting them about removing & relocating a TV I had, and installing a new TV in it's place. I had them stop by mid week a few weeks ago, they were fast, clean, & knowledgeable. I had 5 TVs mounted in a new home and the team did a great job with hiding the wires behind the wall and tucking the equipment away, if possible. I was really excited to have found someone to help me place my tv on a stand and fix my sound bars. I'm new to the area and looked on Yelp based off of reviews. 2 guys came and set up the tv and sound bars in record time. They seemed very rushed but I thought at the time the work was done. I even gave them a bit more money. Turns out the tv is slightly slanted and my one sound bar doesn't even work correctly. I text one of the guys and he told me that was not possible and asked for the brand. I have not heard back from either one of them. I ended up having to just remove the sound bar in order to watch tv, movies and apps without issues. What a bummer....totally unprofessional read more

These guys installed security cameras -- BTW, buy your own, don't pay thousands for commercial grade cameras -- at a very reasonable price, and with constant attention to customer care. They also are going to install a wall-mounted TV. They didn't install the first (defective) one I got, but re-packaged it to return...and are on their way to install the replacement tomorrow. Meet the Business Owner: Derek G.

In the 80's,as a kid, i made myself a four speaker am/fm surround sound radio on the bottom bunk bed. Taking apart clock radio's to tear out the speakers, I would then make my own 3 way cardboard speakers was a hobby of mine( my parents didn't like it for some reason), i have always loved Sound Systems. As Technology and I grew, I got a job at Circuit City, Sold Audio and Video for 7 years and Started Galaz Electronics Installation, now ProTVinstall . I have been in Business for 20 years now and I try to create relationships with my customers so that they know they will be taken care of. I love what i do, and i love to see the smiles on my customers faces when they hear or see their new setup.

We have had our payments on autopay for the last 10 years and then all of a sudden they told us the payment failed (and we owed fees and they might shut off our service) through text message! We immediately called our bank and there was no problem on our end. We tried to fix the issue online but kept getting pop up errors and then proceeded to spend over two hours in "chatting" online with customer service, only for them to tell us we would have to drive to a physical store to make a payment because they couldn't help us. We drove 20 minutes to this store and upon entry we saw 6 young employees sitting on their phones, except one who was helping a customer. One employee was so bored he was playing with a kendama, trying to catch and balance it on top of things. The employee who asked us what we needed immediately told us that the issue was probably because "their internet is down". Let that sink in. First of all, THEY ARE THE INTERNET! Second of all, if they go down so much that it becomes their employees default answer to everyone's issues, maybe they are in the wrong business. We explained the issue again and he tried looking up our account, only to tell us he was getting the same pop up as us and the people online and he could not fix the problem. We also tried to make a payment while we were there so that we at least didn't have to worry about that, but they told us they could not do that either and we would have to drive to a different city to a "corporate" store and maybe they could help us. We were so pleased and confident in their abilities that we immediately drove the 45 minutes to the next city and.... JUST KIDDING! We went home because it was obvious they did not care and couldn't help. After 2 hours on the phone, transfers from IT to Billing and more, and getting hung up on THREE different times by their customer service agents, I finally got someone named Phillip who actually seemed to comprehend basic English and maybe even care about his job a little. He told us that something went wrong with the payment and they could not fix it but to go to the store and try paying CASH to see if the issue ultimately resets. We returned to this store, made a cash payment and now have no idea what is going on with our account because we still cannot log in without a pop up. We are currently looking at switching to AT&T because going to a physical store to make a cash payment every month is 2025 is insanity.

That's when I started calling around for help. Most places I called were quick to ask what was wrong and immediately quote me a fee just to come out. I was considering one of them until I spoke with Meigs. He was awesome. He told me he offers free quotes over the phone, but he didn't just give me a quote. He actually tried to help me troubleshoot the issue right then and there. He spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me, calmly walking me through step-by-step instructions. He suggested there might be another GFCI hidden somewhere else in the house or even in the garage. The garage hadn't even crossed my mind, but it made sense since the restrooms are closer to that side of the house. Since we don't live at the property, I wasn't there at the time to test it. I told him we'd try it when we were back there later in the week. I must've sounded a little flustered because he kindly said, "When you get there, call me if you need me," offering to walk me through everything again if necessary. Sure enough, when we checked the garage, there it was, a GFCI outlet we hadn't noticed before. We reset it, and everything worked like a charm. There was power again in the restrooms downstairs. Thanks to Meigs, he saved me at least $350 of the visit and solved the issue in 10 minutes over the phone. My family bought a new flat screen tv and I wanted it mounted on the wall. I wanted it to look nice and professional. Derek did a wonderful job. He hooked up the cable, wii, blue ray player and the sound bar and hid all the wires. He took his time mounting the tv on the wall. The tv and the remote were new to us, and he took his time to show us the settings on the remote and the settings we would need to use the blue ray player and the wii. Derek responded to my service request immediately and boy am I glad he did. He installed a recessed power/ethernet/HDMI/coaxial box behind my entertainment center so I can now push it flush to the wall. The install is clean and everything works Great! He also investigated why my cable in the bedroom was not not working and discovered he needed to replace a 2-way splitter with a 3-way. This was up in the attic/crawl space so no easy task but he did it and now I have working cable in the bedroom also. I highly recommend Derek and his crew. read more
