While I appreciated his input during the design phase and his work ethics, the mess on a couple of camera installs has left a completely bad taste. When the pre-wiring was done for the security camera, I don't know why the pre-wire had to be right next to the light. Jacob apparently thought that it was going be a sconce - but communication is important. Don't assume - if not sure, ask. So his pre-wiring would be fine if it was a sconce but definitely not OK for the flood light. Even after that happened, I knew that there is no way the camera would fit. And I told him that it would be OK to have the wire come down and then mount the camera below the light. I was really surprised when he told me that he was able to fit the camera and the light. When I checked later, I was shocked at what was done. Not only the floodlight jammed into the camera doesn't look nice, it also cuts off all the light to that side of the house. When I mentioned this issue, he offered to fix it but at this point I don't know how one fixes this since there are additional holes drilled into the siding and the rock that would be visible to make the thing even worst. I certainly did not expect this level of goof up when you pay a professional to do a job. One other thing to add is that when the pre-wiring was done, he kept talking about using toning to figure out the location. Fortunately, I had taken pictures to help with that - otherwise I think he would be spending a lot more time to figure out the speaker locations. This was my time getting a home built - so I did not know what to expect but I would that a professional would know to take some good pictures/measurements so that the finish phase is easier.

I found Liberty Bell Smart Home when I was seeking alternatives to the typical national contract-based home security providers. I was sold on their customer service on the first phone call and it was just smooth sailing from there--from the initial house walkthrough and estimate with Lee and to the installation with Yang. On my installation day, the rain had threatened to reschedule camera installation for another day but they took the risk during the day's dry spell and Lee brought a whole other team to finish the job with Yang. I have no other provider to recommend than Liberty Bell Smart Home and because of their customer service and expertise I am looking forward to using them to help me with other smart home-related functions!

I have had many issues with their equipment since, from the main panel glitching and not making noise for any alerts, to their sensors being faulty and incorrectly alerting to alarms that are not accurate. I had to eventually manually turn two of my sensors off because they were constantly alerting when I set the alarm for no reason, and they wanted to charge me to have someone come out to fix it. I tried almost 6 years to suck it up and rectify with them, but no more. My final straw was this week when my IQ main Panel started glitching and showing a screen overlapped with Spanish so I could barely use it. I reached out for assistance and was told I could reboot but if that didn't work a replacement would be needed at my own cost because after 1 year of contract the equipment is the responsibility of the homeowner (per their "policies"). So now, not only do I have two sensors not working but a main panel that is unusable unless I pay a good chunk of money for a new one, and am paying $40 monthly for security that is basically useless at this time. Their customer service was dismissive of my complaints and did not care for my concerns. I'm making the switch to a bigger brand company that offers more equipment for half the price and half the monthly price for monitoring, with lifetime equipment guarantee. With the number of options out there for home security, you'd think they'd try a little harder to update "policies" and help retain long time customers.
