Problem: During the last storm that came through the Central Valley, the top third of my 30 foot high, old fashioned Television Antenna bent over where the Antenna looked like this ( http://media1.px.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/6spBly_j7XH9wj_otgVMUw/l ) ! Do you know how hard it is to find someone to take down this Antenna? Tried looking in the Yellow Pages, the Internet, friends, etc, etc, etc... I guess since the advent of Cable TV and Satellite TV, NO ONE Installs Television Antennas (nor takes them down...) ANYMORE?!?!? I even put up a listing on Craigslist... After posting the Ad, the very next day I immediately received around six replies... One reply looked like Spam. I reverse-searched the Email address and / or the Phone Numbers of the legitimate-looking replies and found out one guy was a DJ ( a DJ?!?! ); another person sold Used Appliances on Craigslist... And it seemed like most of the persons that replied lived in the foothills of the Sierras. I found Galaz Electronics through ServiceMagic ( www.servicemagic.com ), a service that matches homeowner's needs with Contractors and / or other Service Providers in the same area. I outlined to the Service Representative my needs 1) Antenna taken down SAFELY! a-No damage to my Tile Roof b-I don't need a new Patio where once there was a Bedroom 2) Service Provider Bonded & Insured 3) Take away old Television Antenna. 4) Experience with this job - Don't want this guy (or me) getting killed. A few days later Derek, the owner, called and I reiterated the same things that I stated to ServiceMagic. He quoted me $175.00. OK! Let's get started on 9am Friday, April 1. On Friday, Derek, along with his nephew Tyler, arrived at 9:05am and quickly finished by 10:30am. The only problem he had was the cutting of the Guy Wires that stabilized the Antenna... He was using Tin Snips for this... I promptly lent him a small Bolt Cutter. Derek left the work area (my Roof) clean and trucked all the Antenna debris away. Well worth the $175.00! (Especially for a guy that has slight Vertigo problems...) I would put up an "after-the-deinstallation" photo... but all you would see is Blue Sky... read more

Derek installed a Lorex security camera system for me. He also fixed a problem with a ceiling fan installed incorrectly by another company. Overall I am pleased with the work Derek and his team did. I told them I didn't want to see camera wires in my finished garage and they figured out a way to keep the wires hidden. Unfortunately I had some trouble with the Lorex camera app afterwards and Derek was nonresponsive to my text and call for guidance. Professional and excellent quality workmanship. I contacted Derek through the yelp app with all of the equipment I had along with a layout of the wall I wanted to mount our television. I was given a quote which was way better than what other companies were quoting me with lesser reviews. We agreed on an install date, and was in constant contact to the day of. The day of Derek advises that his tech Brandon was going to be a bit late as he had to pick up some mounts on the way. When Brandon arrived, he was very professional and polite. I showed him the wall he had to work with. He asked me all sorts of questions about equipment and TV placement. I just said "you're the professional, whatever you recommend is what I'll go with." He made his suggestions and confirmed everything. The install work is very clean and precise down to the in wall wiring. ProTvInstall wired 2 rooms with ethernet ports to accommodate my hardwired gigabit internet setup I've been wanting and also mounted and concealed wires for a TV. Now I'm getting straight 900MB/s+ to my PC for working at home and occasional gaming and a TV mounted to the wall with no wires showing. Communication was great with the owner, getting quotes through Yelp and answering any questions that I had. The two gentlemen that came for the install were polite, professional, and respectful. They arrived a little earlier than the appointment time which was perfect for a quicker install. They were really respectful of the property, for example asking if shoes are okay to wear in the house. I had no problem as I have tile flooring, but if anyone has any carpet they can accommodate. Upon starting work, they had devised a game plan with me in regards to how everything is going to be set up and if I had any accommodations. Then a verbal agreement was made on the work that was to be done. After the work was complete, they had cleaned up after themselves and ran through everything with me as far as what was installed and also set up the cable box for the TV. They left with everything setup and functional and made sure I didn't have any unanswered questions.
