Good pizza. It was ready when we got there. Speciality slices are ~$5 each - can't complain because they're huge! My favorite was the slice with chicken and some sort of spinach dip on it.

Margherita Pizza

Ive had margherita pizza that was too chewy and margherita pizza that was too much so it fell apart. The only good margherita pizza ive has was from Grimaldi in dumbo and from this place. It tasted similar to Grimaldi's coal fired brick oven margherita pizza. I was surprisingly satisfied. I didn't expect much since this place had three stars. The margherita pizza was light and thin, but not too thin. It had just enough favoring. I would highly suggest it!!! I also got the garlic knots special. It had SO MUCH marinara sauce, the taste reminded me of meatballs and i'm not fond of meatballs. The bread was soft of course. There was a layer of mozzarella cheese on top. I'm not a fan but there's nothing specifically to criticize it for. It's just a matter of preferences. I should've just gotten the regular garlic knots. I would give this place a five but the delivery guy from the pizzeria pulled up on my drive way and literally spit outside my house when he came out of the car. There is a pandemic going on and doing that right before you give me my delivery doesn't seem very sanitary. It's just coronavirus outdoor etiquette, come on now. No wonder they have 5 non critical health inspection violations.

I went to purchase a pizza this evening as I'm eating i see hair sticking out the dough. I go back inside and as I'm speaking to the staff and explaining to them about the situation , they're telling me this happens some times and gets aggravated with me over my frustration.

Literally the meal before the meal, .. waiting on my Besty Karen to be done with her MRI so we can run the streets of Brooklyn.

It's been a minute since I've had New York pizza in New York, so happy that these recipes never ever ever change, I mean why would they. When you say Uber and all those other pick up services lining up to pick up orders you know it's got to be good.

I've ordered delivery a few times in the past. Always good! Walked in for a quick slice. I got the margherita slice with anchovies added and it was perfect. My sister got a regular slice with anchovies. She enjoyed hers as well. The crust and sauce were so good and the saltiness of the anchovies was not overbearing whatsoever. The staff were also really nice and I definitely recommend coming here!

two slices of pizza in a box

This is how they sent 2 mini pizzas expecting 2 small boxes I usually get but instead they threw them in one large box and this is how it arrived

Grilled chicken alfredo pie

We just ordered the Grilled Chicken Alfredo Pie on a square and it's just unbelievable!!! The dough is tasty and airy. The sauce, spinach and chicken are cooked and seasoned to perfection. Definitely one of the best pizzas in Brooklyn

Had some other dishes recently. Chicken cutlet parmigiana, penne with meat sauce and rice ball. It was all fine.

Stir fry potatoes (first time ordering this side) - Looked as good as it tasted with a melt in your mouth unknown white cream surrounding each potatoe segment. Only thing left was to identify the taste profile in this stir fry potatoes side and the reason behind its name. BedStuy Fish Fry - Please explain the concept and delicious ingredients of your "stir fry potatoes". Finally, the mac & cheese goes without saying never tastes like any other mac & cheese near or far. It is the consistent preparation of BedStuy Fish Fry's mac & cheese that continually draws you back to order this cheese & pasta explotion over and over.

The potato salad was spilling over the trays into the turkey wings everything was very messy. The peach cobbler was ice cold and tasted nothing like a peach cobbler, more like canned peaches over a breading and not a flaky crust. I tried to give this place another try after 7 years I thought it would have improved... but it didn't.

Based on the recommendation of my chiropractor, I had lunch here earlier this week. Our server from…read moreMoldavia was friendly and attentive and suggested I try their most popular dish - the lamb lulya kebab which is ground lamb that is not overly spiced to allow one to taste the meat. It is served with rice and I found it to be a lighter than its Turkish equivalent. It was served with rice. We also ordered Turkish bread that was served warm. The dining area is comfortable and welcoming. Because this restaurant is set back from the Coney Island Avenue next to a liquor store it is easy to miss - but don't - it's excellent!

I ordered the Journey to Baku salad, the Turkish bread, and the Guru Khingal. The salad needed a pinch of salt, but there was a shaker on the table and with that addition, it was a decent refreshing appetizer. It's sort of a spread so I would recommend ordering some bread to eat with it. The bread came out steaming hot and smelling amazing. It was soft and fluffy on the inside and delicious. I took the extra home and ate it all immediately when I got there. Delicious bread. The Guru Khingal is honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten in New York City. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, as I have never eaten this type of food before. The tender, handcut pasta seems to be layered with flavorful lamb fat like the most decadent possible buttered noodles and the ground lamb topping is rich and perfectly seasoned. The yogurt sauce gives the dish balance. It's a fairly large portion that could easily be shared between two. I highly recommend this spot, the glowing reviews are not exaggerating at all. I often like to try new and unusual restaurants, and sometimes I enjoy them mostly for the novelty. That was not the case at Village Cafe. My meal here was delicious and I am eager to return, even with the 75 minute commute from north Brooklyn.
