I wanted to like this spot but I'm not a fan of the food. The flavor was off. Nice portion size. The Jerk sauce is way too sweet for me. Meat was just OK.

The food is pretty descent. Not bad. Unfortunately that girl with all the tattoos screaming orders has a bad attitude. Talks to you very rudely. Thinks we all know the process of how they run the service there. Seems to get upset where there is a rush of people. Doesn't handle pressure well. Other than that the place and food isn't bad at all

Got the jerk chicken plate with sauce on the side. White sauce and jerk sauce on the side. It was good. Honestly didn't need any sauce. Place doesn't have any tables to eat. Only to go. I went to the mall to eat my meal.

Stingy ass JERK CHX OVER RICE

You gotta be me. I have alwaysss had a full ass plate of jerk chicken and rice from Halal Bros Grill and now they wanna sit here and play in my face? If you wanted to change your portions to stingy Chipotle portions maybe address that to your customers! From now on I will only be ordering from the 5th ave location as they always bless my plate...Do better tf 3 stars because the food is still fire but I was disappointed on portion

Never would I have thought about jerk chicken over rice but it didn't disappoint. I ended up getting the convo of chicken and lamb. It was a little overpriced to get both, but I wanted to try it. Regular chicken and lamb is $10.50, but to sub jerk chicken for regular chicken was an extra $4 or $5 which was nuts, considering the regular jerk chicken over rice is only $1 more than regular chicken over rice. The lamb tasted too generic to me (like from frozen), and was too salty for my liking. But the jerk chicken was good. A little spicier would've been nice. They have a number of sauces to choose from, which you can either get directly on your food or on the side. I tried several sauces and they were all on the sweeter side, which wasn't bad, but it would've been nice to have some more neutral options. I'd definitely go back again!

Stopped by this new location today as I was feeling a peck-ish. I went in and there was no line around 2:30pm. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The place was also very clean and organized. I went and got a Jerk Chicken Platter with lettuce tomato and cucumber. I opted out of the onions as I do not enjoy them much. The casher was nice and helpful in explaining of the sauces. I added a spicy white sauce, though the more popular ones seem to be a combo of white and dragon sauce. I will definitely need to go back and try the other sauces. I didn't wait long about 3-5 minutes max since i was one of 3 people waiting for their orders. They are very efficient and quick. Funny thing is I let a friend try my good and they ended up eating my lunch which lef me to return and get another platter. This time there was a long line but it took about 15 min for my order to be ready which was a decent amount of time. They did have other items on the menu, such as burgers, sandwiches, gyros, hot chicken nuggets and salads. All which looked delicious. Overall on my platter I spent $12.50 which was very filling. Definitely will return again. 5/5

Went there first time. Food was tasteless. Ordered 2 grill chicken burger and it was bad. Sauce was very little and onion was very bitter. Chicken was extremely dry. They burned the buns. Actually, it was not a bun, it was a roll. I throw out the onions from the burger. They did not give any ketchup or sauce on the side. They charge 50 cent for the sauces. Very bad experience. Will never go there again.

Green sauce, hot sauce and white sauce

My son came to this restaurant right after they opened and said the food was delicious and we had to absolutely come try it......so we did I ordered the fully loaded fries with jerk chicken, pickled jalapeños with extra jerk sauce & hot sauce . It also comes with pics de gallo but my son doesn't like that. My son loved the fries with the jerk chicken and literally inhaled them. We also ordered 1 jerk chicken combo over rice with white sauce and 1 jerk chicken over rice. Both came with with lettuce and tomato, The combo comes with 1/2 of a flatbread ( 4 small triangles) and can soda. We asked for white sauce on top of the dish and extra white sauce, hot sauce and green sauce on the side. My daughter said the jerk chicken /rice dish was good but she expected the jerk chicken to be spicier and have more flavor than it did. I thought dish was okay, the chicken was tender and juicy & the rice was fluffy. The lettuce & tomatoes seem to be wilted or soggy. Im not sure if that was from the heat of the chicken & rice or from the hot sauce. I wasn't wowed by the the chicken & rice dish like my son is. The restaurant has platters with your choice of either chicken, jerk chicken, grilled chicken, crispy chicken, lamb, salmon. Kofta, fish or falafal. They also have chicken nugget combos with 4-12 pieces, hot wings with 6-15 piece combos, gyros with all of the selections as the platter. There are salads with 11 meat/fish/veggies options plus there's 16 different topping for the salads also. They also have avocado fries that I do want to try. There's also a large selection of sauces: white, spicy white, hot, bbq, spicy bbq, jerk, dragon and green sauce. We tried the white sauce, hot sauce and green sauce. The white sauce was your typical halal white sauce...... It's a tangy like yogurt sauce, garlicky with a luscious creaminess that's all its own. The hot sauce had a good kick to it. The green sauce was supposed to a cilantro sauce but I didn't detect any cilantro at all other than the color, it had a bitter vinegary taste. There's also a large selection of juices, bottled water, soda and tea in a can There's no place to sit, it's completely take out even though the place has plenty of room for tables and/or booths. There's also not a parking lot and an active bus stop is right in front of the place. Unless your in a police car, fire truck or ambulance.....I wouldn't park there . We had to park about 4 blocks away. The employees were nice and helpful, they explained what was in the sauces & heat levels We'll be coming back, I'm very intrigued by the avocado fries

Fresh, Clean. Bright lighting so it feels clean. Nice staff, easy to order. Tastes good. Support Muslim business.

The star of the show were the sides though - the mac and cheese had a bit of spice to it and was slightly tomato based, and the mashed potato salad I LITERALLY wrote home about and told my mom and my aunt immediately, some of the best I've ever had. From the entrance, we joined the line to place our order. Menus posted on the wall. Music playing. Bar area, self-serve water dispenser, utensils/napkins, to-go containers (which we did need) are in this area. One of two dining areas is in the same room. Longer tables, some communal, are in the next room, where we sat. Temp that day was in the 90s, was ok indoors but still could use ceiling fan/s like in the first room. Restrooms available. Meats are priced by 1/2 lb. Carved and weighed at the front counter. Ordered everything else and paid there too. Most of the food was prepped as we ordered so able to take a whole tray already. So be ready for a bit of wait on the line but not in getting the food. Got a number and someone brought our jerk rib tips, which were made-to-order. Our favorite was the brisket - very tender with some fatty parts. Pulled pork was slightly sweet, was ok. I wasn't into the Jerk rib tips' flavor by itself, but was better with ranch dressing it came with. Meats were not so salty which was great. Can add the bbq sauces if wanted. Fritos pie was just a small bag of chips with toppings and was overall a bit salty for me. At least we got to taste their chili. For sides: Large size is not that large but ok for sharing if getting a few sides. We liked the vinegary mashed potato salad and mac and cheese. My family found the collard greens bitter but I liked them. Honey cornbread $7/square was sweet on the top. Want to try other things on the menu so for next time. Take Bus 61 at Boerum Pl/Joralemon St. to Van Brundt St/Beard St stop (bus is accessible from a few subway lines).

The pizza was mediocre. For our entrees I had the shrimp avocado salad and my husband got the gosht burger. Our entrees were really tasty. We also got a side of fries for our daughter which we didn't really have to order. It is a little pricey but look at their location! When we got the bill we were charged $10 for the play place. I asked for it to be removed because my daughter didn't really play there and didn't have socks so our waitress removed it. It's not a big playground area and how long can kids really ply there if they're there for the restaurant? They charge $10 on weekday and $15 on weekends.
