This morning my wife and I went to Project Bloom before heading to the Larchmont Farmers Market. Located 5 minutes from the farmers market, Project Bloom is located in a small strip mall on Melrose. At 8:30 AM, the place was pretty quiet. My wife had the iced matcha with soy milk. I had the iced matcha with almond milk. The taste was good. I wished the matcha was a bit stronger. My wife ordered the egg sandwich on brioche bun. She loved it. I ordered the prosciutto sandwich. It was solid. The blend of prosciutto, arugula and pesto sauce on a baguette was amazing. DJ's rating: 4.38/5.00 Would we come back? Yes
Took our order ten minutes before closing; were super kind and accommodating! Bloom matcha + Bloom Latte were an absolute 10/10. Both soooo smooth and the perfect balance of not too sweet but sweet enough. Sooo yummy. And the spot is super cute!
Matcha is amazing, ceremonial grade and they use straus milk, which is a big plus as it's organic and A2 milk. They have all these beautiful small bouquet of flowers in cup holders that one side is a cup holder for your coffee or tea and the other side is flowers. Love!
Cute little floral inspired cafe! I stopped by on an early morning to get some caffeine. The baristas were friendly and kind, which really matched the vibe of the whole place - blooms everywhere and a cute/peaceful atmosphere. I ordered a hot matcha (made with water) and it was lovely on a cold morning. It wasn't super strong but it also wasn't watered down (like a lot of places seem to do). Bright and green and just what I needed!
I got to try Project Bloom Coffee's pop up at BlackMarket in Sawtelle, and I think it's a MATCHA made in heaven! Matcha has recently become such a trendy drink because of the Hailey Bieber/LA hype, and I'm lowkey tempted to gatekeep this spot since there's currently no long wait at this pop up location. They hand whisk their matcha fresh to order, and use actual ceremonial quality matcha powder from Japan, making for some of the BEST quality matcha drinks I've ever had. The baristas kindly gave us free matcha samples (without pushing us to buy anything), and we ended up buying the Bloom Matcha (which has a matcha cream top) and the Lavender Matcha Latte. Both drinks were absolutely incredible, and I'll definitely be back to try their matcha and Hojicha offerings too!

In keeping with my mission to find small, indy coffee and pastry shops all over the southland, I stumbled on Project Bloom. What a delightful surprise. Mainly, coffee and flowers. Why not? Why doesn't every florist have a coffee bar and conversely, why doesn't every coffee spot fill the place with greenery and color as does PBC? PBC is clean, brightly lit, filled with atmosphere, soft colors and, well, blooms! The coffee is the main star but there are some pastries too. We had a Spanish Latte and a Lavender Latte. The latter was the best I have ever had, possibly due to the fact that they make their own lavender syrup. Smooth, flowery, delicate, elegant flavor paired with superb Arabica coffee served at the right Goldilocks temperature. Sonny and Cin welcomed us and made our order so fast that we were reluctant to leave and go back to the real world, LOL. They have been at this location for two+ years. I hope they will stay forever. If there is one caveat: the parking lot is small and fills up quickly but there are people coming and going. A little patience and you will get a spot -- it's worth it, trust me.

Whether you want a single rose or something more unique for a special occasion, you'll find it here. The decor is minimal and nature-inspired with live lush greens and soft woods. The baristas and owners are incredibly warm, friendly, and fast. I love their ice oat chai and their bloom matcha. The latter has a butterscotch cream top which is delicious. I go crazy for their egg sandwich and always gobble it up before I remember to snap a pic. The potato bread is soft, the eggs are plentiful and perfectly scrambled and the sauce is chef's kiss. I also enjoy their prosciutto sandwich. One of my fave coffee shops in LA.

Definitely a great option if you want something cozy and you can adjust sweetness. Also ordered the egg and bacon sandwich and loved it. The bread was fluffy, the sandwich came out warm, you can tell their sandwiches are made fresh and THE BACON WAS CRISPY The space itself is lovely with plenty of seating and lots of greenery and plants, which makes it feel calm and welcoming. They also host creative events, and the whole aesthetic fits the name so well. Cin and Lydia were super friendly and gave great recommendations. Came in on a Monday afternoon and just beat the rush, but saw tons of people ordering matcha, excited to try that next time. I'll definitely be back for the hojicha!

The match was super strong but also we ordered the wrong thing from the menu (not the one that was sampled). Our matcha milk was bland and has no sugar at all. The sugar is extra? Please ask when you ordered if it is sweet or something needs to be added.
What an adorable, delightful little oasis of joy and coffee! Project Bloom might be tiny location, but it's absolutely packed with personality, from the smiling baristas to the flowers and nicknacks surrounding the space. The food and drink reflects that unique personality. I got a lavender latte, created with a house-made lavender syrup, and it's one of the most unique coffee beverages I've ever tried. I blended a perfect sweetness and espresso with a light herbal flavor. Honestly, I'm already addicted and am sad that I don't live close enough to become a regular. For food I had the ham and cheese croissant. It was perfectly baked and glossy and flakey all over. But more importantly there was a surprise inside: grain mustard and pickles?? I imagine some people might not appreciate that, but my god standard ham and cheese croissants are going to pale compared to this going forward. It kinda tasted like a Cuban sandwich in croissant form? It ruled! Just an all around pleasant cafe with unique flavors and a super friendly staff. It's definitely on the pricier side, but at this point what coffee shop isn't?

I've had the coffee several times and has to be some of the best in all of LA! I've tried several things and they were all spot on. Cute shop but not setup for people who like to go to Starbucks and never leave. Parking is tight but well worth it read more
We ordered the yuzu matcha tonic and the bloom original latte. The yuzu drink tasted like a sparking matcha with light yuzu and I enjoyed it. My partner liked the butterscotch foam in the latte. Expect a bit of a wait for your drinks when it's busy but we would come back. read more
Coffee and plants in one shop?! This immediately puts me in a great mood. The smell of fresh-cut roses and fresh coffee sold me before I even bought anything. The Jasmine Coffee Latte was so good, and the syrup is dairy-free for my lactose peeps. I was afraid at first because jasmine can be an overwhelming flavor due to its floral notes, but it had the right amount of balance, and I enjoyed it. This was my first visit, so the gentleman who took our order took his time and explained the menu in more detail, and I appreciated him. Everyone else working there was warm and friendly. This coffee shop is inside a small parking lot, so I would suggest parking on the street and walking inside. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

The cafe's name could be perfect representative of the design you'd expect. Yep, they did sell flowers and in-themed decorations. The menu had nothing to do with flowers though, so don't overthink it. Trying their cold brew latte with almond milk for my quick coffee stop and it's surely not bad. So worth exploring when you fancied enjoying your cup of joe with a gorgeous view. read more

This place is hidden in a plaza but it's pretty good. However , it is kind of pricey for over $8 for a basic latte, i definitely don't recommend spending that much since it was nothing special. They are cute inside with a welcoming garden vibe. They were slow to make the drink for only me and there was not a long line when I went but the workers were chatting and taking some time with making my drink. read more

I ordered for delivery. Not sure if my iced mocha was watery because of that but it's pretty flavorless and still too sweet even though I requested for less sweet. Egg sandwich was a big hit here. My egg sandwich added avocado made up the mistake of watery coffee so I gave 4 stars. The egg, avocado, and the sauce were a perfect combination for your savory breakfast. The most cute and aesthetic cafe!!! I've gotten pretty much all of their bloom lattes and they're all so good. They also sell flowers and plants on the side, and I got a pothos + pot for my room. I go at least twice a week and it's my staple for matchas. read more

Absolute hidden gem of a coffee located in the heart of Hollywood. I've tried most cafes in the area but none come close to their chai or breakfast sandwich. They always have a fresh selection of flowers/houseplants and double a florist, as if it wasn't already perfect enough! Really cute place! I got the matcha latte and a croissant, both were pretty good. I would definitely come back to try their signatures, I didn't realize there was a regular matcha and a "bloom matcha". This cafe is located on melrose in a little plaza, with parking. The inside was nicely decorated, I believe they are also a flower shop so they have a wall of flowers on the side. It is on the smaller side but has decent seating & tables so definitely study-able, I was there for a couple hours to do work. The service was good, workers are nice and my drink and pastry didn't take too long to come out. read more

The second closest coffee shop to me. I am all for the thousands of independent coffee shops in LA. It's elusive why anyone would literally put Starbucks in their phone when there's such a selection here. And yes I have to try any specialty pastries available. The weekends here offer matcha donuts which I may have had once ever at MochiNut or something. They weren't cream filled though. Honestly I say just come for this alone. It is light and delightful, and why I eat salad for lunch. The cream melts in your mouth. Coffee and donut added up to about eleven bucks which is steep but you pay for a Melrose address so understandable. You could be spending your money on worse stuff. Very cute hidden gem. And not one bark from my doggies so it passes that litmus test too. read more

I'm a seasoned veteran of Project Bloom. I've been coming here with my partner since they opened in 2023 and I'd call this place my second home. Everyone on the entire team is super friendly, personable, kind, patient, and just good people. They're not here to just make drinks, but connect with the community and be PART of the community. Parking is super convenient but can get busy (because their drinks are bomb!) but there's metered parking if you can't snag a free spot (I'll admit sometimes I just go in and out without paying the meter, and no ticket yet). They offer seasonal drinks that rotate, keeping the menu fresh and exciting. I'd recommend trying a favorite and something new! Don't be afraid to ask for a custom drink combining elements of another (raspberry cream top on a matcha latte was my everything). The baristas are constantly innovating new drink combinations and never miss. As if it can't get any better, their food.... the egg sandwich... to die for. Fluffy, Thick. Savory. All the amazing parts of a great breakfast sandwich. Their pastries are always fresh and yummy. Check out the little knick nacks while you wait for your drink, or grab a beautiful bouquet of flowers for yourself or special someone. Bloom is a place I can finally call "my cafe", and I can always rely on them to know my drink before I get through the door and greet me with a genuine smile. As an ex-barista, I get why regulars don't change cafes. It's not the drinks they come for, but the people. I am visiting and stopped by this beautiful coffee shop just to get some matcha and i was flabbergasted how PRETTY this place was. The plants are beautiful. The people serving me were so sweet and kind and made me feel welcomed. Beautiful shop and AMAZING food/drinks. Best matcha I've ever had in LA and same goes for the egg sandwich. My bf and I came back a second time today and will be going there again and again and again hahaha read more

Dang, the sweet cream on certain coffee drinks here is laid on thiccccc!! It's amazing. Cream 'stache after every sip. Really glad I caught eye on the winter menu because I very much enjoyed the velvet mocha. The cream cheese top with the melted chocolate layer is sooooo delicious. Whole drink sounds decadent but surprisingly it's not overly sweet. Definitely one of my favorite creative coffee drinks that I've tried to date. I also tried the original bloom latte; bold butterscotch taste in the cream for sure. Not fully on board with the prosciutto sandwich though. Baguette is quite tough and prosciutto is a little crusty. Super friendly staff here. Mainly a grab-and-go spot (only a couple of small tables). Private lot parking available; tiny lot that was empty on a Saturday at 9 am but started filling up fast an hour later. read more

Project Bloom Café was one of the first places I fell in love with when I moved to Larchmont. The matcha is so good -- smooth, not too sweet -- and their pastries always feel fresh and thoughtfully made. I love that they sell little flowers too, it just makes the space feel extra special. I moved to the Westside recently, so I can't pop in as often anymore, but I still make the trip whenever I can. The staff is always so kind, and the energy is just calm and welcoming -- it's one of those places that makes your day better without even trying. read more

We regularly frequent this place. The decor is beautiful, with blooming plants and flowers everywhere, and the staff is super friendly. Do you like pour overs? The ones here are outstanding and always perfectly made. We always share one and ask for two cups. Also, the breakfast sandwich (with added avocado) is delicious and always fills us up! So good.
