amazing place!! i ordered the double matcha and it was so flavorful and creamy!! they included some coconut shreds on top which i really liked. their ham and cheese sandwich was also amazing it's seriously one of the best i've had! the staff was also very sweet and the place has a really cool vibe and good music, perfect for staying and getting some work done! will definitely come back :)
Actually stopped by this location twice because of a pop up. I wanted to get a full experience before conducting a review and I must say, they have pretty good matcha, but they can work on their service better. The first time, We came for a pop up so it was quite a bit of influx of people and the cafe isn't that large. The staff member informed us the pop ip was still happening and the promotion and product was available, until a male who may be the owner or manager came to the counter and told us in as nasty tone there was none available. We did ask for clarification because of the mixed information and he repeated loudly in a rude tone "WELL I just checked and IM SAYING THERE IS NO MORE". We were surprised and still ordered anyways. If it wasn't for one of their regulars who we just met "Brandon" who gave this place raving reviews of good people and good drinks, we would have taken our money elsewhere, but we decided to give it a second chance. I ordered the strawberry banana matcha and it was DIVINE! Great taste and it wasn't overly sweet. We came back a second time and it was better service than before and the drinks were still good. The second time I ordered their mango matcha which was really sweet but still good, just preferred to taste more mango. If I could add, I would suggest not conducting a community event and collab if you can't work under pressure with the influx of people and high demand of products. Not sure if I will come back as there is so many matcha places in LA and this location is out the way.
Pricey matcha, but very fitting for Melrose and at least the upcharges are worth it! There's so many boosts that you can add and it doesn't change the taste of the matcha. The matcha itself was very smooth and I'd totally treat myself to it again. The interior has a decent amount of seating and natural sunlight. It looks like you'd be able to get some work done here and enjoy the experience. Street parking isn't too bad during the weekday, but good luck on the weekends!
I got a strawberry matcha from here, and it was very tasty! It had a salted foam on top that was a nice balance to the sweetness. The drink was pretty pricy, about $8.
Flowin Cafe is exactly the kind of Melrose coffee shop I'm always hoping to stumble into: good drinks, easy vibe, friendly people, and enough laptop energy that you don't feel like a menace for opening yours. I stopped in for an iced matcha latte, which was smooth, refreshing, and not overly sweet. But the real plot twist was the pastel de nata. They warmed it up for me, and honestly, that little Portuguese egg tart may be the reason I become a regular. Flaky, custardy, lightly caramelized, and delicious in the way that makes you immediately start negotiating with yourself about whether ordering a second one is "research." The whole place has a relaxed, neighborhood-y feel even though it's sitting on Melrose, where "relaxed" can sometimes mean "you are standing next to a $400 candle and everyone is pretending not to judge your shoes." Flowin Cafe feels much more approachable. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the place gave off a family-run kind of warmth, which goes a long way in a city where some coffee shops act like they're doing you a favor by letting you pay $8 for caffeine. There were plenty of people working on laptops, so it seems like a solid spot to post up for a bit, answer emails, pretend to write something important, or actually get work done if you're one of those people. Bonus points: I found street parking without a whole saga, which on Melrose feels like winning a small municipal lottery. I can definitely see myself coming back here often, especially for that warmed-up pastel de nata. The matcha was good, the vibe was great, but those egg tarts are what I'll be thinking about on the drive over.
This brand new looking neighborhood cafe offers chill vibes, flavored coffee, marcha, hojicha, croque monsier and cream filled croissants. The double pumpkin latte (coffee -- they can make it matcha or hojicha) was the best pumpkin flavored late I can recall having. Buttery, foamy and just on point for sweetness. If I come back here, I'll just focus on beverages. We were there at 9ish on a friday and saw quite a few people work on their laptops as they sip the beverage of their choice. We had the plain croissant (honest mistake) and.. it tasted just like one from Costco.. for $5.. and I mean.. Costco can get you 7 for $7 if I am not mistaken. The croque monsier looks so much better in the picture than in reality and I wasn't a fan of the ham which tasted too sweet. But the side yellow sauce was tasy. Prices.. ugh.. $10 croq monsier $10 drink and $5 croissant is $30 after tax and we had to share all of it. You could definitely find caffes that offer more and better quality for the money. Oct, 2025
Hands down the best cover I've ever had. I got some caramel latte with a sea salt soft top and about died. Thank God I don't live there or I would be going broke buying it everyday. Service was on point and everything was of course LA chic
My friend and I were in the mood for some good matcha and I knew JUST the place. FLOWIN CAFE. PERIODT. This place is seriously one of the best matcha places I've ever been to. It's so smooth and I love all the extra "boosts" they provide. The Strawberry Vibes is so delicious. I love that they have flavored matchas. They taste so natural and not artificial. They also use ceremonial grade matchas and you can taste the difference and how smooth they are. I finally also tried their Melrose Matcha which is their Yuzu flavor with Glow Up and Vibe Up boosts. Sometimes I get really scared about Yuzu cause it could be too "sour," but no, this place gets it right. It was subtle, tasty, smooth, and sweet. My friend and I were very impressed! The boosts are such a nice touch too. Vibe up has l-theanine and 5-HTP which helps with relaxation and no crash. Glow Up is like the Hailey Bieber smoothie which Flowin also sells cans of their coffee at Erewhon! The owners are also so kind and friendly. I came in with my dog and they're so welcoming they even gave my little Mimi treats of her choice. I love the vibe of this place and I'm lowkey glad it's not super packed all the time but I'm also surprised because this place is: WAY BETTER THAN COMMUNITY GOODS. WAY BETTER THAN LA LA LAND. 20/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Was in LA for a Quick visit and found this cafe online when looking for a coffee joint. Online ordering was easy and seamless. We didn't dine in but will have to revisit upon my return. Ordered the mushroom pastry - yummm 7.5/10 Banana moon matcha and latte - 1000000/10
So cute, I love the decor. The drink menu had good variety. I had the strawberry matcha, so good and the staff were really nice.
Flowin Cafe is the hidden calm in the L.A. buzz. The Croque Bacon Egg & Cheese Omelet and Chicken Pesto Panini were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The Blueberry Matcha Latte with oatmilk was a smooth standout. Clean space, relaxed energy -- perfect for working or unwinding. Service is quick and spot-on with solid recs. A must-visit for good food, good vibes, and good focus.
Staff were friendly and inviting! It was nice and clean inside though it felt rather stuffy temperature wise (though it was a hot summer day). Coffee was excellent! Though I'm not sure if they used real banana but it sure tasted like it! I would recommend and will be returning!

When it comes to coffee, the first place that comes to my mind is Flowing Coffee. They have so many options with unique and extraordinary flavors. My favorites are the Peanut Butter & Jelly, Banana Moon, Spanish Latte, and the Americano. The service is amazing, and the vibes are always great. They make you feel welcomed every time and provide exceptional customer service. I love how creative they are with their variety of drinks, meals, and pastries. Definitely one of the best coffee spots in Melrose! read more

Such a cool cafe with yummy tea lattes. The L.A. cafe scene is the equivalent of Seoul's. Every hood has their own variety of cafes. I had a lazy morning in Melrose exploring and chose to stop by Flowin with their great reviews and early open time (compared to others). I was looking specifically for matcha since I don't do coffee, and was so intrigued by their menu offerings. I got their strawberry matcha, but they're famous for their "boosters" like for mood, concentration, etc. I went with the booster already included in the classic strawberry matcha. It didn't taste different from a regular straw matcha so I'm glad there wasn't a change to the flavor. I would say probably my top 3/4 fave cafe I visited in L.A. The staff are kind and efficient. She was patient with me while I stressed over the menu. Gone are the days of a simple matcha latte, now there's boosters, creams, different flavors, oh my! There were a lot of seating options inside for solo, duo, or larger groups. They have a restroom for customers and strong wifi. There were a few outdoor tables giving picnic vibes. Such a bright, summery aesthetic, it was such a great start to a fantastic day thanks to Flowin. read more

ICED MATCHA LATTE 7/10: The matcha is pretty standard, it has a relatively smooth finish and isn't too "earthy" tasting in case you are not the biggest fan of that. I got light vanilla and I think that it was sweetened perfectly. Just not my favorite matcha I have tried (preference). WHIPPED CREAM/STRAW CROISSANT 6.5/10: The croissant was decent and the highlight of it was that you could clearly tell that they make the whipped cream in house (delicious btw). My only note is that the croissant, for me, was just not the best. *note.. they do have a lot of other bakery item options that look amazing! I will for sure go back and try out some of the other options :) SERVICE 10/10: Such lovely service, the guy who helped me was so sweet and attentive! This cafe does is very inviting and gives off a sense community which I adore! AMBIANCE 10/10: Honestly, seems like a really great place to do some laptop work and just meet up with a friend to have a drink. What I like is that they are open late compared to other coffee shops in the area! That's a plus! NOTE-- - Very clean interior, lots of tables with ample space - Street parking (as far as I know) read more

I always drive past this cafe and had finally decided to give it a try since the bright storefront seemed so inviting. Inside there is plenty of seating for your workseshes. Now for the matcha itself, I wasnt wowed after paying $10 for my drink. The matcha was very light in flavor & got lost in all the milkiness of the drink. The banana foam on top was so delightful I really enjoyed it! I wish the staff member would have let me know that I could have added a boost to it as I only noticed after I ordered that it could have came with my drink :( read more

Omg!!! I'm so blown away by this new coffee shop!! The ambience is very eye pleasing, relaxing and gives the vibes you need at a coffee shop, with plenty of seats and outlets. The menu has coffee, lemonades and matcha. Something for everyone. Any drink you order you can add a free boost, free!! The boost target mental clarity, mood, anti-aging, relaxation and youth boosting! And owners are so informative and friendly! The drinks are delicious and well balanced. They definitely hit the spot and it doesn't feel like an over kill on supplements or mineral after taste that I get from boost in other coffees. The food is delicious 10/10, that explains why everything is half eaten before I took the pictures. This place opened a month ago, and I know that it's definitely going to become a gem on melrose!! read more

I visited Flowin Cafe for the first time this morning and had such a relaxing, feel-good experience. I ordered the Sea Salt Caramel Iced Latte with oat milk and added the Phoenix effects adaptogen shot. It's labeled for "cortisol reset, relaxation, and nerve support" -- and I actually felt noticeably more relaxed during lunch a little later. Whether it was the adaptogens or just the vibe, it definitely delivered! The latte itself was on the stronger side, but a couple sugar packets balanced it out nicely. I also tried their mushroom danish (something I've never seen or heard of before) -- and it was incredible! Flaky, savory, and so flavorful. I'll absolutely be coming back to explore more of their wellness drink options and cozy food menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something unique, intentional, and calming. read more

The 'back-to-nature' ambiance with green touches all over the venue seems to implicitly featured the theme of flowin'. I stopped for quick coffee and sitting down chillin for awhile. Was already full so didn't go for any of the foods, but I admittedly drooled over the croque monsieur served to the neighboring table. As much as I enjoyed the place and the ambience, I unfortunately wasn't a fan of my Sea Salt Caramel Latte, as it tasted tad too milky. I might prefer it coming in smaller size but bolder coffee. read more

Flowin Cafe is one of the best coffee shops in Los Angeles, hands down. The different fresh fruit puréed matcha lattes and lock in latte are so good, and good for you. The hospitality and service provided by Burt & his staff is very intentional, personable, and consistently kind. The earthy ambiance inside of the cafe stimulates the nervous system and encourages patrons to flow in WFH, reading, or catching up with friends. I highly recommend this local business in West Hollywood. Be sure to pay your meter when parking on the side streets--there is sufficient street parking accessible. read more

This cafe is definitely on the pricier side, but it's so lovely. The customer service is awesome; the cashier realized it was my first time there and did not hesitate to give me recommendations. I got their regular latte and I loved it, but I'm now regretting not having one of their specialties. They're known for their "brain boosting" additions to their coffee, which I would want to try next time I come. The environment is also so awesome. I came here the other day to just study, and they were more than happy to have me there even though I was not going to buy anything. This was the main thing that brought me back, and rest assured I will be coming again! read more
