Pacific Pest Control was fantastic. A few days ago we noticed bees gathering under one of our roof eaves. I called Pacific Pest Control about 10:00 am and by 2:30 Craig was at our house to evaluate. He determined the bees had begun setting up a hive inside the walls and told me he could take care of it in about 30 minutes, but it would need to be in the evening or morning, when the bees were calmer. At my request, he came back that evening at 7:00, and by 7:30 he had taken care of the hive and sealed up the hole the bees had used. He gave us a two-month warranty in case the treatment hadn't removed the queen, but I'm pretty confident it's taken care of. If you want to deal with someone who is honest and trustworthy, this is the company - especially Chris! We called to get an assessment of rodent activity/infestation and an estimate to eradicate the problem. Chris did a thorough investigation of the attics, crawl space and perimeter of the house. Turns out, we did not have an infestation, only one small entrance point with minor isolated rodent activity. He could have charged us the minimum standard fee for eradicating the rats, but because the activity was so minor and isolated, he repaired (closed-up) the entrance point, left us a few traps and instructed us on what to do / look for over the next few days - at no charge. ORIGINAL POST: If you want a company who promises to remove the rats from your attic and simultaneously seal it up to prevent further intruders- this is not the company for you. We have had them out over the course of many months THREE times just to fix their repeating errors. They have continuously failed to patch up the entryways around our house allowing more rats to come in. The number you call for service only dispatches you to their "Emergency Line" so nobody responds to you quickly (or calls back on the regular). We currently have a dead rat rotting in our attic and the AC is spreading the rot smell throughout the whole house. I've called complaining that it's unbearable and that as a PREGNANT woman I don't feel safe breathing it in (it's literally smelling up the entire house). They promised to show- THEY DIDN'T. I had some bee activity around my house and could hear very loud buzzing from an inside wall. I called a couple of local places and also submitted an online request through "Networx", a third-party that contacts vendors for your issues and those companies then contact you. I was called almost immediately by Pacific Pest Control. Luckily, someone was nearby and able to come check out my house within 30 minutes. I believe it was Craig. He came quickly as promised and was very polite. After a brief inspection of the outside of my house and the inside (used a heat gun to check for hot spots in the walls/ceiling) and then a quick inspection in my attic, he said I had a hive in my attic. He also said there was old honeycomb that had previously been scraped off and said this was possibly why I had a new bee infestation. He wrote up an estimate for me that clearly states: "Kill hive & seal hole" (The outside entrance hole by my roof line) at a cost of $395. Now, I already knew that it was critical to remove all traces of the bee activity as best as possible to avoid attracting new pests. For a cost of $800, "Remove hive and primer smell". He said putting primer over it would mask the pheromone smell and keep from attracting more bees. This, all at a grand total of $1195. He was nice enough to mention the Yelp deal and also a coupon on their website, which, when combined, would take $200 off the services. Sounds great, but I'd still be paying $995 for everything. I was completely sold on his assessment of the situation, and being that I was VERY uneasy about bees in my house, I was almost ready to sign the papers. Except, I had already scheduled for another company (that only handles bees, not a general extermination company) to come out and check the situation later in the day. They told me over the phone that $150 would eliminate the bees and seal the hole and $350 would remove everything. So I said I'd get back to Craig after clarifying that this other company would basically perform the same service for far less. I don't know what Craig saw that prompted him to tell me this was what needed to be done, but the other company came and did an inspection. He was up in the attic much longer and came out confused since I told him there was a hive up there. He saw no hive. No old traces of honeycomb. He observed the bees' behavior from the outside of the house, determined they were scout bees and there was no sign of worker bees coming and going, therefore leading him to believe there was no actual threat of a hive, but the scouts were just entering our home to determine if they wanted to settle there. He treated for that situation ($150) by flushing out the bees from the outside and sealing the opening and told me what to expect and look for in the next week. And he was right. After one day, there was no more buzzing in my walls. No more bee activity by the roofline. Nothing. If there was REALLY a hive in my attic, I'd still be having a problem, but I don't. I'd love to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but how can you mistakenly see a beehive that isn't there? The other guy who inspected my attic said at most, he saw a few bees up there. He even showed me several photos of the attic that he took to prove there was nothing. Bottom line, I was completely misled and almost taken for a grand by this company for a problem that never even existed. I felt extremely taken advantage of and this shows that you should ALWAYS get at least a second opinion when it comes to pest control. read more

I bought the Yelp deal and was excited to get the ants, spiders, silverfish, etc out of my house. The day of I had to evacuate my cats so catching them and getting them into cages so they could sit in the grass for 4 hours was a pain but I didn't want to harm them obviously. The tech was supposed to be there between 9-10am and at 9:59am he showed so that was kind of annoying. I had my dad there ready to fill out a check for $60 and they wanted $130 so that was a misunderstanding. I had to have them send me that check back so I could mail them another one for $60 a week later which is ok, I guess I didn't 'get' that I had signed up for regular service every 3 months - which I didn't want. That is my biggest pet peeve on pest control. You automatically get clocked into a program. I'd rather just call when I need it. Therefore, I think I'll use them on an as-needed basis in the future. Overall the experience was "meh." but they were pretty accommodating when push came to shove. read more

If you want to get rid of rodents in your attic and/or get the best exclusion work done so they can't get in, don't call anyone but Pacific Pest Control. We have had numerous companies do exclusion work on our home in the past 12 years and have spent a ton of money. We got a new roof 2 years ago and, had all of our attic insulation removed and replaced and, before we had the new insulation installed hired a guy to "exclude" every single entry into the attic. Well, he completely missed several huge entries along with many that I never would have seen unless I was an expert. Rats continued to get into the attic. Not only that, but now our new insulation has rat poop all in it. Last month I called a few places so we could finally rectify the problem. The first company that came out told me that after they did the exclusion work, they would have to remove all the insulation, clean out the attic and lay new insulation (at a huge cost). I called Pacific Pest to get another opinion and quote. Brian came out and gave me a qoute that included exclusion for the entire house, top to bottom. The quote came with a lifetime guarantee on the work they do. On top of it, he did not recommend all new insulation. Just vacuuming any rat poop that is sitting on any hard surfaces (you can't vacuum insulation) and the quote included sanitizing the entire attic. I had them come back to do the work the next week and I'm so glad I did. He found at least 15 places that the guy I hired 2 years ago missed. All exclusions were done with materials that rats can't eat through or materials that will degrade in a matter of time. (They last guy I hired used just spray foam on the entry points that he did patch.) Brian from Pacific Pest is the one that did our work. He put traps out first, came back to check them over a two week period to make sure that we caught any that were trapped in the attic after the inclusion. He will come back next week to vacuum and sanitize the attic. Great service, great professionalism, great ethics. I'm so glad I did the research and found these guys. I wish that I would have know about them 2 years ago before I hired the clown who missed obvious entry points and charged me $1,500 to do it. If Pacific Pest had done the work, our new insulation wouldn't be ridden with rat poop. They were honest enough to tell me that I didn't need to replace it all (like the first guy I had come to the house) and that it just needed to be sanitized. Bottom line: Call Pacific Pest first...they will do the job right the first time and guarantee their work, because they know that they do it right. I highly recommend them! read more

I called Pacific Pest Control for a rat problem that we had in my condo. I spoke to David and he was very nice. David set up an inspection the same day.Craig, who is the owner, came out and was very professional. He did an inspection to see if there were any rat droppings and checked for entry points and then he gave me the pricing of the services they offer. He set traps in my attic, kitchen, dining room and living room and told me it would take a day or two to get the rats out. Two gentleman named Chris Cruz and Derek came out this morning and sealed up all of the entry points rats could get into my home and attic. They also Checked the traps and one of the traps had a rat in it. Derek disposed the rat and vacuumed any visible droppings. The rodent proofing and trapping program was very reasonable and came with a 1 year warranty. They also do 4 weeks of visits for weekly inspections and removing rodents. Ants..... oh my!!! we try to take care of them inside and out with no poisons. We have a cat and a dog. But this summer was too much and we could not control them inside or out. It has been a month since Pacific Pest Control was here and we are ant free, inside and out, plus we and our pets are great. They came when they said they would. They were nice, quick, did exactly what they said plus got along with our dog, who can be protective at times. I spent the morning preparing the house, and showed them all the places the ants were entering. Within 2 and a half hours of their arrival, our house was finished, dry and I and the pets were back in putting our house back together. When I saw a GIANT black widow in my back yard just chillin' out on my 4 year old's bike, I noped outta there right away and starting calling exterminators. I wanted the lowest price (cuz I'm cheap) and with the yelp deal these guys came out about $40 less than their competitors so I scheduled an appointment. They try to get you to sign up for an ongoing monthly/quarterly type program, but even though this particular red butted spider has scared the buhjeezus out of me, I couldn't commit until I'd seen how well Pacific Pest could eradicate the problem. So a friendly technician came out, did his thang, and here I am almost a year later scheduling only my second treatment - so yeah - whatever they are spraying did the trick. I did not see another black window for almost a year!! I would see silverfish on occasion too, but they were long gone after a visit from Pacific Pest. Whatever they are spraying WORKS. Had to deduct 1 star because they get booked up and you have to wait a week or 2 for an appointment, kind of a bummer when you realize there's deadly spiders up in your kids toys and you want them there like yesterday! read more

Found these guys through yelp!! Thanks YELP for never letting me down, once again! Unfortunately we got hit with a family of mice! They came out to inspect and gave us different service packages that best fit our situation! I am glad we went with the 1yr warranty package rodent work. One of the guys came out and rodent proof our home! Didn't know that it would make such a big difference. They also set up sticky traps in popular areas inside the home! By the 2nd week we caught 1 teen and 3 babies!! Yuck yuck!! But they came out to dispose of the dead mice and also gave us extra sticky boards!! We are now through with our 4week check up (once a week visit). But since we got the 1 yr warranty we can call them anytime if we find any droppings (crossing fingers we don't need too)!!
