After researching and getting other bids, I had hired another company for attic sealing and restoration a little less than two years ago. I felt happy with their work, but then I had two dead rats in the attic and that other company came out and charged me $650 to get it out of the furnace motor. They said it wasn't covered because the rat had come in the floor intake in the house. After they left on Friday I still had a smell that was coming from a heater duct. I went on line and ended up contacting Pacific Pest Control through Home Advisor. Brian came out at 10 Monday morning and found the other dead rat within a few minutes. He showed me the improper sealing and completely unsealed alcoves and said for sure the rats didn't come in through the house. If I had had the work done by Pacific Pest I would have paid about the same for the sealing and restoration but getting out the new rats would have been free and all their sealed areas would be guaranteed for the life of the house. If I had called Pacific Pest control just remove the rat from the furnace and disinfect it, instead of calling back the company who supposedly sealed up the attic, they would have charged $375. The other guys were in the attic quite a while but they did not find the dead rat that Brian found within a couple of minutes by following droppings and lifting up a duct. I wish I would have used Pacific Pest Control in the first place!! (I will rate the other company separately when I see how they respond to what I have learned.) read more

He gave us a couple of options on how to handle the situation. Also, informed us that we had a termite problem as well. Gave us a quote and discussed in length the work that needed to be done. Once we signed up work began and mice were soon gone. What was quoted was what I paid there was no add ons. Even though there were a couple of fixes that the team had to spend more time on. Bad experience with these guys. We needed termite fumigation done and went with them because of scheduling. It turns out they don't stick to the dates and times that they promise. They actually sub-contract out the fumigation to another company, who told me the dates they got from Pacific wasn't what was given to me. Instead of setting up on Sat morning and taking down on Monday, they instead showed up Sat afternoon and will be taking things down Tuesday afternoon when we already scheduled with our movers to come Tuesday morning. I am happy with my service from Pacific Pest Control. After a few years of calling another company and getting a short term fix, Pacific Pest came in and offered a service of sealing up my house, getting rid of the rats and I also signed up to remove, sanitize and install new insulation. It took a long time to complete the full process. I had to be completely confident that I was clear of the rats before the new insulation and it worked. Both teams where efficient and polite! I said that's fine, I explained what I needed and she gave me a quote. Highest quote I've received. I asked if there were any specials available or a discount if we signed up for regular services...she said "no" and they are so busy that they can charge that much and I should go with one of the other companies I called. Dear Mr Broadhead, I wanted to send you this e-mail to share my gratitude for the work and consideration your company had with my family during a very difficult time. Our daughter who is a heart patient and was scheduled to have major heart surgery on June 10th (about two weeks ago). In the weeks prior to her surgery, I had heard noises in our attic and called around for an inspection company. They discovered a serious rat dropping infestation in my attic. This really worried me especially considering my sick daughter was going to have surgery the following week. I had a couple of companies come out and both were very expensive considering the time frame I gave them to finish the work. You see the work had to be completed during the time she was in the hospital and I could only afford to pay a certain amount. I then found your company on the internet. I called and spoke with Brian. He was very nice and listened to my situation. We were at the hospital when he called and he agreed to meet me later that afternoon. He came down and checked my attic. He agreed there was a serious problem. I told him that all I could afford to pay was $1,600. He told me that he would need to get approval for the work to be done for this price. He left and called me later that afternoon and said your company would do the work for $1,600 and do it during the time my daughter was in the hospital which was only a couple of days away. They said it would be done in two parts, first and foremost clean the attic followed by the insulation once my daughter recovered. With all the stress from my daughters pending surgery, I can't tell how relieved I was to hear this. As planned, on Thursday June 12th Brandon and Marcelino showed up to start the work. Both were very professional and worked very hard to clean up our attic. Additionally, they made every effort to close off entry points to our house for the rodents. The work was completed Friday morning and she arrived home at 6:00 pm that night. I appreciate their efforts to have our attic cleaned prior to our daughter getting home. I also want to thank you as the owner for your flexibility and consideration with your clients that find themselves in difficult situations. Having a sick child puts a tremendous amount of stress on a family. Having a company like Pacific Pest understand these circumstances is greatly appreciated. Had a bit of a scare recently when I found one random mouse in my patio. I was worried they were in my home or reproducing at some crazy rate. as I sat on my couch that night I very nonchalantly googled pest control Laguna Niguel ca. I was not sure I had anything to worry about and thought if the process is easy enough I will call for someone to come out. it was 10 pm. I assumed I would call and leave a vm and play tag with some random company but no... the first website I went to was pacific pest. I was excited to see the super easy form that you can fill out on the first page. 4 questions. so easy. next morning I woke up to a vm and a follow up email. The man that called me was named David and I believe he is the one that came out to my house as well. David was great. friendly and patient. He spent a long while searching through my house. He was very thorough even though I had told him that I wasn't sure I would take any further action after this check up. It was obvious they were not in it for the money. he came to me after the assessment and said it was just one random lost little guy. he checked the garage the attack the patio the rooms everything and no signs of any further little jerry's around. he asked me for nothing. all of this for free. loved the site loved the form loved the ease of use loved the professionalism loved that he was on time loved that they do what they do ethically and with no underlying expectation except to serve the customer well. I hired Pacific Pest to keep rats out of my house. They charged me $6500 to find all the holes in my house and trap the rats for year. This was a year less than normal. After the initial exclusion work, instead of looking for more holes they just continued to trap. At the end of the year, they had me pay $3100 more dollars to find more holes they should've found in the first year. I paid it but I complained that this time, they had to get it all done right. Half way into that, they started telling me different things I had to pay extra for to find the holes. This was not part of our original agreement. They sent a different person, and he found holes that had been there the entire time and were missed in the original work. When I pointed this out, instead of completing the work they sent someone to try to give me $400 of my $3100 back and just cancel the agreement right before my vacation, instead of checking the traps for more dead rats that would be left in my home, and doing the exclusion work they had already been paid to do. When you point out any discrepancy, they always blame it on your bad house and that it's your problem. Well the house is the same as it was when they inspected it the first time. I don't think they operate with integrity, and you really should beware if you hire them for this service. Further, they completely abandoned the contract and me without any agreement or discussion, and this is totally unprofessional--not to mention illegal. Needless to say, their services, warranty and personnel have been nothing less than pleasurable to work with. When I initially hired this company, I would have given them a 5+. I paid $1150 for them to get rid of the rats in my house and yard. I live near a drainage ditch, and we gets lots of critters. But the rats kept me up at night, making lots of noise. The initial team that came out seemed very knowledgeable, and said they would leave traps near my cypress trees- that is where the rats hang out. They certainly helped to correct the work that Ecola did- I found out the foam that Ecola installed is worthless- the rats eat through it. So it seemed this team had covered all the holes that Ecola missed. After they left, I went to check for the rat traps by the trees- there weren't any. I called them out again after vector control came out. They were investigating for mosquitos in the neighborhood, so I asked about the rat problem. The guy inspected my house, and pointed out a point of entry that pacific missed. When the guy came out from pacific, he refused to cover this hole. When asked about the rat traps by the trees, he said each trap would be an additional $25! He ended up leaving one trap by the garage, not even by the trees! So now, three months after the last service, there are still rats in my yard, the rat trap is by the garage, never inspected, and I am out $1150 for a job partially done. read more

I knew I had rats in the house so I decided to have different companies come for inspection. I compared the prices, the services each company offered, and Pacific Pest Control seemed like the way to go. Chris L. was the expert who came out and inspected the area, and I was satisfied with his analysis and his solution to the problem, and he was someone reliable to work with. I chose their basic rodent control program that includes rodent proofing and trapping, and on the first day they checked the house for any holes, blocked all the entrances for rats, and set up all the traps in merely 1.5 hour, which is pretty fast for going through a 2000 sq. inch house. I LOVE this company! I heard a rat running around in my first floor ceiling, it freaked me out! I called so many places, and couldn't find anyone to help. Then I called pacific. They were truly wonderful. I was so afraid a rat would die in there. They found where it got in, checked everywhere else, and rectified those problem areas. Craig, although didn't arrive at the property on time as planned due to traffic, did a through search of the property for flea signature, and there is no sign of flea at all, even though the tenants claimed they were bitten by fleas. Instead of just telling me straight up there is no flea, he showed me where to look for signs of flea, bedbug..and of course, there is no signs of any, and suggested doing a fumigation when there is no pest is just waste of money. Great service. Saw 2 rats recently. One in my backyard and my son saw another in our garage. Called PPC and Christopher came the same day. Did a thorough inspection of the house and came back in 3 days to seal holes and set traps. Brandon came back a week later and was accomodating since I worked late that day. He inspected all the traps but no rats. Evidentally they are using my house to forage and build nests elsewhere. Brandon even went above the call of duty by helping me repair the garage door rubber weather strip which the rats where using as nesting material. Highly recommended company! read more

I appreciated his honesty, knowledge, and expertise. Not only did he bring new traps but he vacuumed rodent feces, along with the dead roaches, and disinfected the area.
