We booked moving and packing service through Pro Movers. The price was reasonable and making reservation was a breeze. Packing service was done 2 days before the move date. Packing service was done by Cameron and Payden and they were super fast and efficient. They were very pleasant to work with and made the moving process so much easier. Update - moving day: Cameron, Jesse, and Kristopher did an amazing job moving our heavy marble and wood furniture into a tri-level home (note: stairs galore!). We are repeat customers and had issues with our first move. They had information wrong in their system and were late and then one guy didn't show up. But they got the job done. I have relocated for grad school, work and other reasons 5 times in the last 7 years, so I've experienced different movers -- Art & Tanoise were my movers at the end of August, and did an incredible job. I had everything packed in crates, and they quickly disassembled my bed, wrapped my furniture and loaded the truck. In contrast to my previous movers, they didn't damage walls while they removed boxes or furniture from my place. Neither is very chatty, but they are both really nice and work hard. I felt like I was more in their way than anything else. At my new place, there are only stairs so they pretty quickly looked at the angles and the flooring and thought the safest and fastest way to unload was to go over the second floor patio. I was a little nervous watching the process but they worked as a team to unload the truck so quickly. I still don't know how they did it. I expected a few broken items but not one thing broke or even chipped (and several boxes were filled with fragile glassware or other small items). Lunch and a tip were not nearly enough but it's all I could do to say thank you -- so grateful for them to move my things safely and quickly. read more

This review is long over due . . .we are getting ready to move again and I realized that when we moved about two years ago with Pro Movers I never wrote about our horrific experience. I was told that we were getting their best guys. Huh? Travis, Denis, and Jacob showed up half asleep and Denis and Jacob stoned out of their mind. People under the influence tend not to be most productive or quick. They were slow, but steady loading the truck, but when they realized the time when they started unloading and that they may be working beyond what they preferred then they literally started tossing things out of the truck. I had things spilling out of boxes and tubs. In the end we had broken keepsakes and things all jumbled up and crammed back in boxes and tubs. They were rude, inconsiderate and incompetent. If Travis is their best then I would hate to see their worst. As they were leaving, they each were pushing for my Yelp review. Well better late than never. Because of my experience with them, we are dreading our upcoming move. I am definitely going to be more cautious on who we choose. read more

Was referred to promovers by a coworker and also from viewing reviews on yelp. Called about a week before my move and was able to book 2 movers for the following Friday for $65 and hour (3 hour minimum) plus a $25 flat fee for gas and mileage. The day before I received a call that I would be also getting an extra person for my move due to training. Sounded amazing to me! The day of the move I received a call that they would be fueling up and be on their way. My movers were Angel, Arthur and Jason. All 3 were very nice and did a great job. Angel took the time to walk me through the process and make sure everything that I needed moved would be moved. They did an amazing job wrapping all my items that needed wrapping and was very informative. Took 3 hours total for my move which prob helped due to the extra man, but it was amazing how fast they got it all done. I will never move again with out movers and would definitely use promovers again. Yes they take breaks, but think about it when you have moved before didn't you take breaks? It's a labor job and breaks are needed. I was informed they do work hard because they depend on tips but that understandable because they do a labor intensive job and honestly they deserve tips for having to bust their butts moving our stuff when we don't want to do the labor! Remember to tip them also because they work very hard and deserve it! read more

We hired Pro Movers twice when we moved into our first house. The house is two stories and the upstairs carpet needed cleaning so when we moved in we didn't put any furniture upstairs so that we could get it cleaned wall to wall. They came back about a week later to move our bedrooms and office furniture upstairs once the carpets were clean, and they did a great job each time they came. The first time they came, they helped me pack everything out of my old place! And I do mean everything... I didn't have time to do anything ahead of time. Just heads up they won't pack any laundry detergents, cleaning supplies, shampoos or vinegars.... which was a little odd to me but there is some type of rule about that.... in any case they did give me a box to put all that odd stuff in and I just took it with me in my car. They wrapped all my furniture, marked all boxes and were cool about rearranging furniture when I wasn't sure exactly where I wanted it. Very good experience and would use them again! read more

I ended up using these guys because another recommended moving company was booked on the day I wanted to move. I was nervous because of some of the bad reviews but overall I was pleased with the service. I have a one bedroom with little furniture and belongings but the move took about 6 hours. It definitely took longer than I expected but as far as I know, the two guys Robert and Corey (I think that was their names) didn't take any breaks other than to get a drink of water. My brother bought them lunch but instead of taking a lunch break, they insisted on finishing the job first. The long day was likely due to the fact that my old apt had a slow elevator and my new apt on the 3rd floor doesn't have an elevator at all. The guys were very polite and professional and deserving of a good tip. If I could give any criticism, it was the fact that I was never offered a mattress cover (bag) when I made the initial appointment. As a result, my mattress and box spring had a few large dirt marks from the truck. It is free but apparently by request only. I will probably use them again. read more

I struggle with this review or if I should even write one as there may have been extenuating circumstances regarding our move, but I will write this up both good and bad and maybe the reader or the company will be better prepared for their next move. Packing day; No major problems, arrived on time, and spent 4 hours packing up the house. Some small items to watch, opened boxes of baking powder and the like should be checked to be closed and sealed in a ziploc bag or equivelent, two of these items in our packing list were not done like this and we had baking powder and corn starch all over the contents of two of the boxs. Otherwise the packing was pretty much uneventful and completed well in order. Nothing broken or lost. Moving day; This was a day of mayhem. I will start by going through the day and at the end write the info I found out after the days events.... Scheduled to start at 9am, they arrived at 11am. This single event completely screwed up the timing of the move and the planned days activities, as a result we were not able to fit 2 trips into the day as originally planned, and had to leave 1 whole truck load at the old house. Thankfully most of the stuff was in boxes and moving the items into the truck went pretty much to plan. To help get the move back on time, the Company sent along an additional mover for 2 hours no charge, and while there was some drama in getting the stuff into the truck, the load process took about 3 hours. Arrival at the new house: The guys arrived no problem and were able to get the truck unloaded in about 2 hours. Everything for the most part ended up were is needed to be, so there were no issues with the unload. Overall: I still have to move a truck load of stuff from the old house, but will probably just rent a truck and get some day laborers to do it. In talking with the Dispatcher on the phone it appears that their "team leader" was on vacation for this month and this may have lead to the confusion between the workers when loading the truck and the dispather himself was in Oregan unable to affect any real change. The Company did offer me a 75$ discount that we appreciated, but still overall moving day not a good day, and I would have MUCH prefered to have it go well than to be offered a discount. Overall they crew needs some leadership on the job and some support from the home office to make all of this work. Starting late by two hours definitely killed the planned days events, the workers are all personable and are willing to work hard, so there is no problem with any of them, the problem I saw overall was just a lack of leadership with logistics and execution. read more

Joe and Samuel were awesome! My partner and I moved from one place down a huge flight of stairs into two separate places, also both UP a flight of stairs (they basically went uphill three ways - but like REALLY, not like the stories your dad/grandfather tells you where you know they went downhill at SOME point. These guys had NO downhill). They managed all of our heavy furniture, taking extra care to not damage anything, in almost no time. Their moving truck is large enough to fit whatever you need to move and they have all the equipment to move your items damage free - boosted by the extra care they take with their work. Joe and Samuel were friendly, trustworthy, professional and easy on the eyes. They are great with animals, easily maneuvering around my moving-anxious dog. My malamute/shepherd quickly and accurately judges character and was very comfortable with Joe and Samuel around, and was even able to lay down and relax. Called a week in advance, arranged for everything: --3 hour min @ $85 an hour + travel time, which is doubled (so if 30 minutes, you're charged an hour) --2 movers --3-hour window of arrival --1 big truck, one trip Abat and Corey were the movers. They arrived within estimated time window. Finished all in 3 hours + 30 min drive time, so paid for 4 hours in total: $340. No problems whatsoever. Abat was efficient with paperwork, and both were quick and cautious with the physical moving. Definitely recommend these guys. read more

Charles (I believe the GM) was great in communicating a discount offer I had asked about and some other options he had thrown in to the movers so there was no hassling on the day of the move. We finished my one bedroom move in 4 hours, including the 30 min drive to LBC, which I was so grateful for as a friend of mine who was going to help had to cancel last minute. Last year, the other moving company I used took 5.5 hours and the drive was 15 minutes to my new place. Both movers were fast yet extremely careful with my belongings. They listened to everything I asked of them and Yaro was even running back and forth between dropping off boxes which I was really impressed with! I moved with other movers last year, and they were nowhere near as professional or fast as these guys. I would definitely use their services again in the future. read more

This is our first time using Pro Movers and definitely will be our last. Unfortunately, the other company I had used before was booked for my move date so I had no choice but to look for another option. Angel and his crew showed up after 9:15 and as soon as they parked the trucked they started the time. Typically you have to wait until the customer does a walk through than the time starts. From beginning they kept on complaining about number of steps , the distance from the truck to my apartment, the amount of money they make for this move, and so on. They took multiple breaks and I caught them taking a selfie while I was packing my stuff inside the apartment. They refused to pack anything and said they didn't have the boxes or were not told they would be packing and they killed as much time as possible to extend the moving time. I've moved 4-5 times within the past 7 years and by far this was the most disappointing experience. I bought them lunch, and gave each of the 3 movers a nice bottle of wine, and tip them $20 but I truly regret using this company. If you end up in my situation and have to use them ask for another crew and keep your eyes on the the entire time and don't feel pressured into having to tip them if they do a crappy job. read more

I was so impressed with this moving company. They were courteous, professional, and very efficient. Please ask for Deandre, Corey, Tanoise. They were the perfect team! I've moved many times before I got married, but this was my first move with my husband. They went to 3 different places to pick up my things. At each place, they were careful and quick. They didn't waste any time loading up the truck and getting to their next destination. At our last stop, they had to move an antique dresser and piano up two flights of stairs (yikes!) but not a scratch can be found on my items. I would highly recommend. Moving sucks. I moved in 2009, 2010, 2011, and now, 2013, so I've gotten pretty good at it. But, for all my previous moves, I had friends to lend a hand. Since moving to California, I haven't made any friends and subsequently, I've become a lonely, sad, guy who cries himself to sleep! Since I needed help, I looked high and low for the best deal for a moving company. I called 3 places and Pro Movers had the best service on the phone and the best prices, so I went with them. My two guys showed up on time and called ahead. All in all, with drive time, it took a total of 6 hours to pack, drive, and unpack my stuff. The final price, in my opinion, was very reasonable. Nothing was broken except a couple large tupperware containers that got cracked during the unload. Otherwise, everything, from my flatscreen TV to my electric piano, to my unwieldy king size bed, was transported safely and unharmed. In a few years, when I get my paper up and decide to move into a real house, I'll be giving Pro Movers a call f'sho. read more
