Pro Movers were professional, efficient, and fast! I messaged several moving companies for a quote, and appreciated the rapid response and professionalism from Pro Movers. They were also very detailed on their message, with all the rates and options noted. The cost was appropriate for the services provided. A couple days before my scheduled move, I received a courtesy reminder. The morning of the move, I received a call from Angel that they were on the premises; perfectly on time. Angel and his partner (Fernando?) introduced themselves, showed up the equipment (moving carts, boxes, tape, moving blankets, plastic wrap) provided and talked some more about the process before they started work. The truck was massive, but in great condition with their logo prominently placed. I've seen moving companies with old trucks, or with graffiti -- so this was a relief (because you know the new neighbors will be looking and judging). Angel also explained that they take a 15 minute break every couple hours, which I fully supported. The discussion made me feel much more comfortable about the move and the work ahead. Angel and Fernando worked diligently and made the move look easy; they obviously had a system that worked. I was very satisfied with the service provided and highly recommend Pro Movers. read more

I hired these guys to move a 2 bedroom 1000 sq ft townhouse, mind you, 1 bedroom had a desk, no bedroom furniture and some boxes in it. I had no appliances to move. They basically moved a 1 bedroom townhouse. They didn't have wardrobe boxes, and they ran out of room in the truck! When scheduling I told them it was a 2 bedroom townhouse, they were unaware that I wasn't moving appliances, or that the 2nd bedroom had 1 piece of furniture (small desk) in it. Afterwards they moved me I had to go back to the townhouse a minimum of 15x and hire more movers to finish, because they couldn't move my 1 car garage (that I park in, so there wasn't a lot to take), my backyard (bbq & chairs), or any of my clothing. In the end they charged me over $900, saying they had to charge me overtime?? In my new place upon unloading, there wasn't anything they had to put back together either, including just placing the mattress directly on the floor. I moved from Huntington Beach to Irvine, basically a 1 bedroom townhouse, w/approx 30 to 40 boxes, only 1 bed, a desk, living room, and a dining room table. There were some things that were not ready that had to be packed, that doesn't change the fact it didn't take an extra four hours, make them run out of room in the truck, not have wardrobes, or compensate for the fact they didn't have to move any appliances, or a second bedroom, patio or garage, and they didn't have to put anything together, not even a bed frame, I had them just drop the mattress on the bedroom floor in the new place. How do you forget wardrobe boxes and run out of room on a moving truck when you're told it's a 2 bedroom house, 'and' you've only moved one bedroom, no appliances, backyard or the garage? I had Joe and Charlie help me with my move last week and they were the absolute BEST. They were efficient, professional and funny! They moved quickly and got my move done hours sooner than I expected. Next time I move, I will be requesting them as my movers. Thank you guys!! read more

DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR YOUR MOVE !! They are the WORST moving company I have ever had ! I had 3 guys and only 1 was working the other 2 kept smoking and talking on their phones which made the move longer so they over charged me ! I have had so many movers in the past and they never took 6 hours for a small apartment and they broke my dresser! And they did nothing at all to help me . You would think when they brake your furniture they would at least give you a discount or do something to compensate for what they have done to give you some comfort but NO they don't care at all about their clients or their furniture the worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my entire life ! PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE HIRING THEM !! And now that I'm reading their reviews and looking at pictures I see that I'm not the only one they have done this to ! PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES. Thank you. read more

My first time to have met Jessie and Joe and made me feel comfortable that I can trust them with my life. I watched them how they moved stuffs and they let me know when there is a crack and loose knots. They are professional, courteous and humble to accept bottled waters offered to them. They are happy workers and seen that they love what they are doing. If I have my own business - I am going to hire them. God bless Joe and Jesse. read more

Hired Joe and Kevin from house to house, then our 2 storages units to house. They communicate very well together and with us with the game plan. They are both very active with no complaints and always up front with us. They made good used of the big boxes and clothes boxes. No damage to our stuff and moved in about 4 hours with disassembly and assembly of beds and furniture done very well. I tipped them well, they busted their ass read more

Benjamin and Luis helped me move all of my things from my one bedroom apartment. I had a lot of furniture/electronics that needed to be wrapped up which they did themselves, and they were very quick! I had a really heavy dresser which they helped me bring upstairs to my new home which I could not be more thankful for. They were also very friendly and sociable! Would highly recommend. read more

The hourly rate quoted was reasonable and fair; I had called other companies and their rate was right in the "ballpark". The crew they provided was polite, helpful and professional. Fast and courteous, right to the job , called them they showed up did the job, and the rest is history, thanks

We booked moving and packing service through Pro Movers. The price was reasonable and making reservation was a breeze. Packing service was done 2 days before the move date. Packing service was done by Cameron and Payden and they were super fast and efficient. They were very pleasant to work with and made the moving process so much easier. Update - moving day: Cameron, Jesse, and Kristopher did an amazing job moving our heavy marble and wood furniture into a tri-level home (note: stairs galore!). They were very efficient as well as organized. When moving into our new home, they made sure all the furniture and boxes were left in each respective rooms to make unpacking process easy for me. All in all, I would highly recommend their service to friends and family. read more

Edit 2/15/14: Since posting the review, Pro-Movers rescinded their offer for a $100 credit (check) because of this review. Its unfortunate that they want to hide or bribe people to not tell the truth. Yes, really. Yelp is a place for customers to post their opinions and that is what I'm doing. The response was not professional and although I could keep posting my own responses, I'll let other yelpers make the decision based off of your response. Edit 11/22/14: I received a message by a Yelper identifying as a family member of the owners of the business, asking to assist them in achieving a goal for a 5 star rating by removing my post. The message states that many changes have been made since our services and to call them with questions should I choose to discuss matters in greater detail. Unfortunately because I do not intend on using their services, I will not remove or alter my rating as it's the experience I based my review off of. If i'm overly harsh or biased, i'll let Yelp remove my review, although according to Yelp, they don't do that. read more

This review is long over due . . .we are getting ready to move again and I realized that when we moved about two years ago with Pro Movers I never wrote about our horrific experience. I was told that we were getting their best guys. Huh? Travis, Denis, and Jacob showed up half asleep and Denis and Jacob stoned out of their mind. People under the influence tend not to be most productive or quick. They were slow, but steady loading the truck, but when they realized the time when they started unloading and that they may be working beyond what they preferred then they literally started tossing things out of the truck. I had things spilling out of boxes and tubs. In the end we had broken keepsakes and things all jumbled up and crammed back in boxes and tubs. They were rude, inconsiderate and incompetent. If Travis is their best then I would hate to see their worst. As they were leaving, they each were pushing for my Yelp review. Well better late than never. Because of my experience with them, we are dreading our upcoming move. I am definitely going to be more cautious on who we choose. read more

Was referred to promovers by a coworker and also from viewing reviews on yelp. Called about a week before my move and was able to book 2 movers for the following Friday for $65 and hour (3 hour minimum) plus a $25 flat fee for gas and mileage. The day before I received a call that I would be also getting an extra person for my move due to training. Sounded amazing to me! The day of the move I received a call that they would be fueling up and be on their way. My movers were Angel, Arthur and Jason. All 3 were very nice and did a great job. Angel took the time to walk me through the process and make sure everything that I needed moved would be moved. They did an amazing job wrapping all my items that needed wrapping and was very informative. Took 3 hours total for my move which prob helped due to the extra man, but it was amazing how fast they got it all done. I will never move again with out movers and would definitely use promovers again. Yes they take breaks, but think about it when you have moved before didn't you take breaks? It's a labor job and breaks are needed. I was informed they do work hard because they depend on tips but that understandable because they do a labor intensive job and honestly they deserve tips for having to bust their butts moving our stuff when we don't want to do the labor! Remember to tip them also because they work very hard and deserve it! read more

We hired Pro Movers twice when we moved into our first house. The house is two stories and the upstairs carpet needed cleaning so when we moved in we didn't put any furniture upstairs so that we could get it cleaned wall to wall. They came back about a week later to move our bedrooms and office furniture upstairs once the carpets were clean, and they did a great job each time they came. The first time they came, they helped me pack everything out of my old place! And I do mean everything... I didn't have time to do anything ahead of time. Just heads up they won't pack any laundry detergents, cleaning supplies, shampoos or vinegars.... which was a little odd to me but there is some type of rule about that.... in any case they did give me a box to put all that odd stuff in and I just took it with me in my car. They wrapped all my furniture, marked all boxes and were cool about rearranging furniture when I wasn't sure exactly where I wanted it. Very good experience and would use them again! read more

We are repeat customers and had issues with our first move. They had information wrong in their system and were late and then one guy didn't show up. But they got the job done. Now comes the second move and we wanted to give them another try but a similar issue happens where someone doesn't show up. All that to say Joe and Victor L truly saved the day. Joe stayed in contact with me the whole morning while we sorted things out. They offered a discount for the issue and both guys stayed focused and moved quickly. Good experience after everything was all done but just makes for a messy morning when things aren't organized on the back end. read more

Jorge and Rudy were awesome! 1. On time 2. Friendly 3. Efficient We couldn't have asked for anything more! These guys are top notch! They did such a great job! Money very well spent, worth every penny! I moved this Sunday from my house of 10years and their customer service was outstanding. Thank you Davin for answering all my questions and keeping everything organized. An especially grateful thank you to Tanoise for making my move very quick & clean. Thank you to all the men for leaving my new hardwood floors scratch free, I was a bit nervous about that! I was very impressed with the work ethic and the SPEED these men put into my families move. Fast, efficient, and they came with all the extra supplies & equipment I never even thought would be needed. Than you again! read more

I struggle with this review or if I should even write one as there may have been extenuating circumstances regarding our move, but I will write this up both good and bad and maybe the reader or the company will be better prepared for their next move. Packing day; No major problems, arrived on time, and spent 4 hours packing up the house. Some small items to watch, opened boxes of baking powder and the like should be checked to be closed and sealed in a ziploc bag or equivelent, two of these items in our packing list were not done like this and we had baking powder and corn starch all over the contents of two of the boxs. Otherwise the packing was pretty much uneventful and completed well in order. Nothing broken or lost. Moving day; This was a day of mayhem. I will start by going through the day and at the end write the info I found out after the days events.... Scheduled to start at 9am, they arrived at 11am. This single event completely screwed up the timing of the move and the planned days activities, as a result we were not able to fit 2 trips into the day as originally planned, and had to leave 1 whole truck load at the old house. Thankfully most of the stuff was in boxes and moving the items into the truck went pretty much to plan. To help get the move back on time, the Company sent along an additional mover for 2 hours no charge, and while there was some drama in getting the stuff into the truck, the load process took about 3 hours. Arrival at the new house: The guys arrived no problem and were able to get the truck unloaded in about 2 hours. Everything for the most part ended up were is needed to be, so there were no issues with the unload. Overall: I still have to move a truck load of stuff from the old house, but will probably just rent a truck and get some day laborers to do it. In talking with the Dispatcher on the phone it appears that their "team leader" was on vacation for this month and this may have lead to the confusion between the workers when loading the truck and the dispather himself was in Oregan unable to affect any real change. The Company did offer me a 75$ discount that we appreciated, but still overall moving day not a good day, and I would have MUCH prefered to have it go well than to be offered a discount. Overall they crew needs some leadership on the job and some support from the home office to make all of this work. Starting late by two hours definitely killed the planned days events, the workers are all personable and are willing to work hard, so there is no problem with any of them, the problem I saw overall was just a lack of leadership with logistics and execution. read more

Angel and Matt helped my husband and I move today and we could not be happier with them. Moving is a headache to begin with and adding a newborn to the mix makes it 1000 times more stressful. Angel and Matt were lifesavers! Thy had great personalities and were extremely efficient. They came in and got to work right away and loaded up our entire apartment in record time. They took care of our stuff as if it was their own and I appreciate that more anything. My entire experience with this company as a whole was positive from beginning to end and I would not hesitate a second to hire them again or to recommend them to anyone who is moving. Angel and Matt, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much! You made this time in our lives so much less stressful and we appreciate all of your hard work! read more

Small studio move, from Laguna to Newport. Called a week in advance, arranged for everything: --3 hour min @ $85 an hour + travel time, which is doubled (so if 30 minutes, you're charged an hour) --2 movers --3-hour window of arrival --1 big truck, one trip Abat and Corey were the movers. They arrived within estimated time window. Finished all in 3 hours + 30 min drive time, so paid for 4 hours in total: $340. No problems whatsoever. Abat was efficient with paperwork, and both were quick and cautious with the physical moving. Definitely recommend these guys. read more

John was prompt and professional when I requested information. He responded to my questions quickly and I was confident they would do a good job. The moving team was friendly and helpful and got everything to the destination without breaking or damaging a thing including the walls. I have relocated for grad school, work and other reasons 5 times in the last 7 years, so I've experienced different movers -- Art & Tanoise were my movers at the end of August, and did an incredible job. I had everything packed in crates, and they quickly disassembled my bed, wrapped my furniture and loaded the truck. In contrast to my previous movers, they didn't damage walls while they removed boxes or furniture from my place. Neither is very chatty, but they are both really nice and work hard. I felt like I was more in their way than anything else. At my new place, there are only stairs so they pretty quickly looked at the angles and the flooring and thought the safest and fastest way to unload was to go over the second floor patio. I was a little nervous watching the process but they worked as a team to unload the truck so quickly. I still don't know how they did it. I expected a few broken items but not one thing broke or even chipped (and several boxes were filled with fragile glassware or other small items). Lunch and a tip were not nearly enough but it's all I could do to say thank you -- so grateful for them to move my things safely and quickly. read more

This is our first move with Pro Movers. - note: our job is unloading only. Everything went smoothly as expected. John and James were very professional. They carried stuff up to the third floor in a very HOT day and finished the job well within the time. The crew was very easy to deal with and accommodating with our requests to move things around, which is a big plus to us. The labor rate is competitive, we definitely made the right choice going with them and would recommend them to others looking for similar services. read more

5 stars plus, if I could give it! Abad and Yaro (sp?) were awesome for my move from Fountain Valley to Long Beach. Charles (I believe the GM) was great in communicating a discount offer I had asked about and some other options he had thrown in to the movers so there was no hassling on the day of the move. We finished my one bedroom move in 4 hours, including the 30 min drive to LBC, which I was so grateful for as a friend of mine who was going to help had to cancel last minute. Last year, the other moving company I used took 5.5 hours and the drive was 15 minutes to my new place. Both movers were fast yet extremely careful with my belongings. They listened to everything I asked of them and Yaro was even running back and forth between dropping off boxes which I was really impressed with! I moved with other movers last year, and they were nowhere near as professional or fast as these guys. I would definitely use their services again in the future. read more

This is our first time using Pro Movers and definitely will be our last. Unfortunately, the other company I had used before was booked for my move date so I had no choice but to look for another option. Angel and his crew showed up after 9:15 and as soon as they parked the trucked they started the time. Typically you have to wait until the customer does a walk through than the time starts. From beginning they kept on complaining about number of steps , the distance from the truck to my apartment, the amount of money they make for this move, and so on. They took multiple breaks and I caught them taking a selfie while I was packing my stuff inside the apartment. They refused to pack anything and said they didn't have the boxes or were not told they would be packing and they killed as much time as possible to extend the moving time. I've moved 4-5 times within the past 7 years and by far this was the most disappointing experience. I bought them lunch, and gave each of the 3 movers a nice bottle of wine, and tip them $20 but I truly regret using this company. If you end up in my situation and have to use them ask for another crew and keep your eyes on the the entire time and don't feel pressured into having to tip them if they do a crappy job. read more

I was so impressed with this moving company. They were courteous, professional, and very efficient. Please ask for Deandre, Corey, Tanoise. They were the perfect team! I've moved many times before I got married, but this was my first move with my husband. They went to 3 different places to pick up my things. At each place, they were careful and quick. They didn't waste any time loading up the truck and getting to their next destination. At our last stop, they had to move an antique dresser and piano up two flights of stairs (yikes!) but not a scratch can be found on my items. I would highly recommend. They barely took breaks even though I asked them to. Their goal was fast, efficient, and friendly and I definitely found them to be that! read more

Moving sucks. I moved in 2009, 2010, 2011, and now, 2013, so I've gotten pretty good at it. But, for all my previous moves, I had friends to lend a hand. Since moving to California, I haven't made any friends and subsequently, I've become a lonely, sad, guy who cries himself to sleep! Since I needed help, I looked high and low for the best deal for a moving company. I called 3 places and Pro Movers had the best service on the phone and the best prices, so I went with them. My two guys showed up on time and called ahead. All in all, with drive time, it took a total of 6 hours to pack, drive, and unpack my stuff. The final price, in my opinion, was very reasonable. Nothing was broken except a couple large tupperware containers that got cracked during the unload. Otherwise, everything, from my flatscreen TV to my electric piano, to my unwieldy king size bed, was transported safely and unharmed. In a few years, when I get my paper up and decide to move into a real house, I'll be giving Pro Movers a call f'sho. read more

UPDATE: I AM NOT A STALKER! And I am not Josh. He is my uncle who referred ProMovers to us! I dare you to prove I and my uncle Josh is one and the same!!! That's a LIE!!! JOHN, You decide to LIE AND MAKE UP STORIES TO DEFEND YOUR BAD SERVICES? My Uncle Josh post everytime you take down his review!!! Now we know you take down negative reviews! No wonder you have only the good ratings. So your rating is FAKE then! Truth can't be hidden.... your excuse on your comment is not even commendable. You admit you F....Ed up! 2-4PM window became 7PM. We didn't sign up to move in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!! UNTIL 2AM in the Morning! What kind of movers does that??? There are many movers here in Yelp who are truthfully good and reliable. I urge Yelpers to stay away from ProMovers! Yelpers, don't make the same mistake we did! And when you do a bad review... they will take it down. Don't believe the reviews here. Pro-Movers gets Yelp to take out the bad reviews!!! Stay Away from ProMovers! This company is unprofessional and unreliable! They booked the moving at 2-4PM. We waited and waited, called and called... they finally showed up at 6:45PM! They sent an old guy and a woman (who was taking care of a their dog half the time). They said they were super tired since they've been working since 7AM! They had to stop and rest every so often and what could easily be half the time, took them close to 8 HOURS.... For stuffs in a 1-BR Apartment!! Mind you, there's No Refrigerator or Bed. They had the NERVE AND AUDACITY TO CHARGE FOR 7-8 HOURS! AND NO APOLOGIES! They even tricked my Dad (who is a senior) to sign a "new" contract. What for when they were delayed by hours from the first one. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, STAY FAR FROM THIS COMPANY. Spare yourself a NIGHTMARE! Choose wisely, there are others in Yelp who are much better. I really regret what me and my Dad had to deal with this lousy company. They should be shut down and I hope no one has to experience what we did. read more
