We were in a tough spot and needed movers quick. We called around and Pro Movers was the only one that was available on such short notice. From start to finish they were very accommodating and helpful in choosing the right package, so to say, for our sized move. We originally only had 2 movers for the job but after talking thru what we had to move on the day of, they recommended that we add a 3rd mover. The rate would go up, but because it would take less time, we would end up paying less in the end. Jesse, Donovan, and Anthony showed up on time and were exceptional. They were friendly, efficient, and we were truly amazed at how they were able to handle our large move so quickly and in an organized fashion. To me, a simple smile goes a long way, so I was so happy that their service went beyond what I could have ever expected. They even thanked us multiple times for helping them during the process. WOW--let me tell you, I think most of these reviews MUST BE FAKE, because this was the worst moving experience I've ever had in my entire life. I've moved a lot, mostly cross-country and I've always had a pleasant (yet stressful) experience. This was more than stressful and it was made horrible by the staff from Pro Movers. My boyfriend and I decided to move in together and we organized and packed our own boxes and prepped for our move for weeks prior to make this process as seamless as possible. The movers came to my apt first and were VERY UNFRIENDLY. Barely said a word to us, but did pack my apt in 1.5 hours. Once we got to my bf's apt, that's when something took a turn. The movers became CRANKY, RUDE, AND LAZY. Telling me to move stuff myself to save time, and had attitude about us being on the 2nd floor. They took 5 HOURS to pack my bf's place that was completely bare bones with hardly any furniture (no idea what took so long). It was then when I realized they had canceled their second move for the day and decided to milk me and my bf for every hour/penny they could. Taking things off the truck, then putting them back on etc. When we finally made it to our new apt, it had been 8 hours. By this time, they were done working really. One guy making passive aggressive comments the entire time and moving one box at a time off of the truck. Also taking time to be on his phone and sit in the truck for most of the afternoon. We also got completely SCREWED when at the end of the day, the guys give us random screws to our furniture they completely took apart into a million pieces and couldn't tell us which hardware goes to which furniture. Half of my boxes that have clothes in it are in the garage and we're missing the slats to our beds. AWESOME. In the end, the mover wanted MORE tip and he charged us for OVERTIME. $1500 for a VERY SIMPLE MOVE. It was the worst experience and the worst way to start our time in our new home. I would NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. In short: RUDE. LAZY. CRANKY. FUCKING RIP OFF. read more

Was hoping I would be able leave a good review after the initial call but since that nothing went as promised. I have scheduled two helpers to come and assist with unloading of a truck in Irvine. The crew was supposed to arrive 9-10am. I had to give them a call at 1130am to find out that they are just not going to show up. The manager Sam extremely rude and not helpful at all. First, they missed their three day window without any communication, then when I called to check on the drivers eta, we arranged a new pick up time. These guys are your typical movers, that don't listen to what you tell them to do. They try to get out of there as fast as they can, and when they say they are done, you find out later that was not the case. I hired these guys for minimum 3 hrscto box my daughter's appt. To start the mover packed my CPAP hose and mask, that was on the couch, when I specifically told them not to pack anything on the couch. When I discovered it was missing, he has thrown it at the bottom of this huge box, and I told him to unbox it, and never found my mask. All this took 1-1/2 hrs to do, and wanted a tip on top of that. Then he referred one of his cronies to move everything into a pod, and they were just two thieves, seeing what they could steal, when I was not looking. Pro movers should be put out of business ! We hired them to move are furniture and the rest of personal items. The movers came with 3 men and when they showed up they pressure us to hire a 4 th man! So we did hire the 4th worker. They started out unorganized and without any tools to take apart the furniture ! As they were coming down the stairs they damaged the drywall ! That cost me $350 to have it fixed. After that they took 2 hours to go to the store and tools to take apart the furniture and our new refrigerator ! As they were trying to move our refrigerator out of our house they tried to force it through the front door as they did this they damage our new refrigerator . We just paid $1500 for it. After that the damaged most of our expensive furniture ! Put our mattress on the street ! My wife was crying as they destroyed our furniture and other items. The foremen pressure us for a tip up to 30% of the bill! Pro movers offer us $750 for the damages ! My advice is never use this company EVER!!! read more

I just had the pleasure of meeting Dennis, Carlos, and Frank from ProMovers. They professionally and quickly got all furniture moved into a very challenging 3rd story condo. They were careful and double wrapped furnishings to make sure they arrived up stairs in perfect condition. A hoist had to be used to get the couch in. We used Pro Movers to unpack a 26ft uhaul that we had transported from Chicago to Orange County. I spoke to the company multiple times before they came to ensure they would have dolleys & tools to unload our stuff & put it back together. I requested 4 guys. On the day of they only sent 3 guys which ended up being fine but the crew did tell me generally they don't put furniture back together & that "dispatch" doesn't understand that. However the guys we had were professional, kind, gentle with our stuff, and helped put our furniture back together. They worked quickly & efficiently and after a horrible experience using other movers they took care of us. Thanks to Marvin, Luis, & Javier we were able to unpack our full 26ft Uhaul in 2 hours. BROKEN ITEMS AND THE DRIVERS STRAIGHT TRIED TO CON ME, RIP THEIR EMPLOYER OFF AND GOT AWAY WITH RIPPING ME OFF) I'd never ever consider leaving a bad review even if I wasn't happy but this is a whole new level of low. First off they were 2 hours late. Okay that's fine we still had time to get to my new place which was 3 hours away driving 55mph then 25mph through the hills where diesels were fine at 50mph. Still fine. Whatever... Now let's back up again. Originally they contacted "me" to offer their services. I did have another company I was going to use but these guys talked me into using them. I told them my new house had a long steep driveway. I told them I was concerned about their trucks bumper scraping on the way up and it may not make it AND it could possibly get stuck. I was told it was no problem, "they do steep driveways all the time"and if there's an issue their driver will sort of out. Let's start again with some simplicity then we will write a book about how insanely horrible this was. 1- They don't listen at all. I mean it's like you aren't even talking. No directions were even heard. 2- All chiefs and no Indians. 3- They are sloppy workers. I mean like it's their first day of moving sloppy. 4- Destructive. To the highest power. 5- All they want to do is just get the job done as fast ass they humanly can. I mean like get your property on the truck as fast as possible even if it means destroying boxes with no concern of what's inside. 6- They will 100% try to con you out of money and also attempt to embezzle money from their own company. That says a lot about this companies choice of employees that will be in your home or business. 7- Do not try to question anything. They will try to intimidate you and to the point of getting in your face to try and scare you into paying them their extra cash on the side. If you made it this far I applaud you. It got way worse but I ran out of room so I'm editing up to here. They broke my $2300 milling machine and tried to wrap it in plastic to hide it. Broken beyond repair! They also damaged my couch, broke my desk, damaged my bed frame, damaged my driveway, didn't finish the job and left my belongings outside for me to figure out myself. Did I say the drivers tried to con me out of more money? They also gave me a sob story for a tip while knowing they ruined my mill. Grime. dont use them !! horrible horrible experience!! first off i was given a 9 - 10am start time ,the truck arrived @ 1130. the quote they gave me on the phone was different then when they got there. it took 2.5 hours to empty a storage. then another 2 hours to unload the truck and place items in my garage. then i was over charged. i paid 1 hour for travel for them to come do my move.( it was a 15 minute drive from storage to garage) and the drivers wanted grutituy on top of that. then they charged my card 3 times. and claim it didn't go through, but clearly it was on my bank statement that it was charged 2 times. the third was declined for fraud. john in the office is rude as hell, and could definitely use a customer service course immediately. i say run.... to anybody eles !! read more

Jose and Carlos did a great job. We were under some time restrictions and on a very hot day they made sure to load/travel/unload within the time I needed. They were kind and respectful of family members and the property. Like another review, due to traffic, they did not arrive within the start time window. So it is wise to ask where the truck is originating from because those of us living in L.A. understand the traffic. Also, remember that the travel time is in addition to the moving time. Finally, moving time is calculated to the 15 minute increment, so if they are loading for 1 hour and 20 minutes, you will/should get charged for 1 hour and 30 minutes, not two hours. I am grateful to have saved time and our backs in lifting and moving many heavy items. read more

I hired Pro Movers this past weekend to help my fiance move to our new place. Not only did they do an excellent job, but the pricing was very reasonable and the guys ended up being pretty cool. After doing a quick search for an affordable, quality moving company, I quickly found that it wasn't as easy as it sounded. A lot of companies charge way too much for a simple 1-bedroom move, while others will quote you a ridiculously low price without any guarantee that they will finish the job quickly. I found that these guys hit a pretty good sweet spot, by doing a professional job with honest workers, while still trying to give you a good deal. The morning of the move, John and James gave me a call before the scheduled appointment time, and arrived exactly on time. I had gone out to run a couple of errands, thinking they would be a little late. But by the time I had returned, the truck was already neatly loaded with more than half of her things. Both guys moved quickly and efficiently, and we ended up finishing the move quicker than expected. Not only that, both John and James were friendly, polite, and just honest guys that wanted to do a good job. I can't really ask for anything more than that. So if you're looking for a moving company, or on the fence about hiring one vs. a uhaul, give these guys a call first. They won't try to rip you off, and they will take good care of your things. The only other advise I would give to potential clients, is to be a little open minded during your move. Everyone thinks that they don't have that many things, and that their move should be done in the shortest time possible. But you wouldn't be thinking about hiring movers if that was always the case. I hate moving with a passion. So I can really appreciate a couple of hard working guys willing to do a great job, at a reasonable price. Thanks guys. I have to give these guys props for going above and beyond. Edpecially Bryan a one man moving machine!! Let me tell you my story real quick. I had a previous appointment from dessert movers. See my review on these guys. They showed up stones and two hours late, so I sent them packing. Called Larry at Pro movers and he could not been more professional and helpful. Now here is my predicament that Larry and pro movers were dealing with. 1 superbowl Sunday 2 sunday 3 I called around 11:30 4 I had to get out that day from my apartment. Initially they said they could do it but then called and said that their crews were to busy. Then a voice from heaven called me an offered me a one man crew Bryan!! I jumped at it because look at my predicament. Bryan came and although I was still upset about the previous company assured me he could handle it. I have never seen one man do so much without missing a beat. He moved everything, he told me if I had had music he would have moved faster.. and I believe him.. nothing was an issue couches refrigerators you name it he lugged it out like it was nothing. Cannot say enough good things about these guys!! They will definatly go above and beyond for you. The worse experience I ever had in moving . The Forman, Denis , was rude , uncaring and careless . They lied and unprofessional. Many of my furniture were damaged as well as my wood floor . They had caused so much stressed forme during the move and they did not move all my items as agreed . They are not pro and they overcharged . Kris and Art helped with my moms move today and it was the best experience with movers I have ever had. They were quick, courteous and professional. My mother has some difficult furniture that I couldn't imagine moving and they handled it with ease. We did a quick walk through of what I needed moved and once we went over what I needed moved they went to work. I had no worries while they were working and loading the truck.
