Worst experience ever ! When I called to get a quote I got all the information I needed, my fiancé and I finally agreed on 3 movers and that we will pack our stuff by ourselves. Only 2 movers showed up. The items we left for the movers to pack up were the beds, TVs couch table etc. pretty much all the furniture. They were moving quick the first 2 hours then I guess got burnt out and slowed down. I was already upset that we didn't get 3 movers like we asked but one of the guys asked me to tip them 4 times throughout the move which was pretty annoying. It took them 8 hours to move our stuff and dump it into our new place, they did not assemble our furniture back together and they didn't put all of our upstairs boxes upstairs. We spent 1500 for these movers to do a half ass job and also damage our items. I don't blame them completely because they also couldn't finish because the company called them at the last minute to go do another move job, so they left our place without finishing to go work on someone else's place. I am pregnant and cannot move these items up the stairs or assemble anything so my fiancé is left to do it alone. The next day I called to express my concern and they told me a manager will call me back that same day. No one ever did. I then called again today and got hung up on. I was able to book my move within a week from obtaining the quote. My contact at Pro Movers was very responsive and either emailed me or called me back every time I had a question about the move. Joe, Samuel, and Charlie were our movers for the day and boy were they fast! They contacted me ahead of time and arrived exactly when they said they would. They were professional and very efficient. They disassembled and reassembled three of our beds, moved out our huge dining table and countless pieces of furniture in a very short amount of time. We used Pro Movers for a long distant move. Moving is an incredibly stressful time especially relocating and having a disabled husband. Would NEVER use or recommend them ever! We had the worst experience!! Quoted one price, by the end of them loading 80% of our stuff they stopped and doubled our price after doing a walk through. We know what a quote is but by double?? Then arriving to our new location, the guys stopped unloading for us to pay, what a mess that was. This was a whole other situation. When we paid the Manager then he asked us to start unwrapping / taking off the tape off the larger items & emptying our wardrobe boxes so they could get out of there to get home. Also, we received a phone call by the Manager accusing us of calling him a liar & thief. I have 25 yrs in HR & if that was my employee it wouldn't be good! We also had to ask them to reassemble our beds, boy that was a chore. The Owner was nonresponsive & Sasha was no help at all to the situation and he said that is what he hires people to do & handle. There was no compassion / understanding for our situation by anyone in the company. We were asking for some type of compensation for what we went though and they would not doing anything. There is so much more to this story!!! All I know is that referrals / spreading the word is huge and they will NEVER get one from us. read more

I had Joe, Donovan, and Jesse come out to help us move a ton of furniture from our pod to our house. They finished within only a couple of hours and were kind enough to organize our bedroom furniture and put together our bed frames. They were efficient and very kind. It was a pleasure getting to know them and have them take care of us. At some point during all the movement, a couple of our items were misplaced, but ultimately found and put in their rightful place. Very pleased with our decision to hire Pro Movers for our local move! Our team was Omar, Carlos, Memo, and Tyler. Day one was packing, and the process was extremely efficient. The guys had tons of supplies and moved quickly. Day two was moving and my family and I were consistently amazed by the guys' ability to lift, maneuver, and transport incredibly heavy items down stairs and around corners. Actually, it was not a manager, it was the owner we spoke to and yes, he told us that he's used to bad reviews and would not even discuss a possible solution. Customer service is something definitely not important to this company and lying about it certainly is not an issue. Broke our new TV, one of the movers stole tools and they did not finish the job, among other issues. This SHOULD ring a bell with the company and they most certainly know how to get ahold of us, but chose not to. read more

Update: I originally gave Pro Movers two stars due to some unpleasantness with one employee, who I won't name. However, I immediately received a call back from their GM, John Romero, & he couldn't have been more understanding & helpful. The move was a massive job & we were really worried it wasn't going to be done, but Ben, Martin, Lester, Josh and Jose E. hustled their a**es off & made sure everything was done before they called it a day (or night since they had to work so long). They never slowed down or wasted time & they really showed care for our stuff. They communicated with us really well & made sure we knew where things were & that they put it all in the right spots. Not to mention, they were good guys & I enjoyed talking with them throughout the day. Can't recommend them more. Make sure you ask for Ben & his crew & sit back & relax because they've got you. Chose them as they were quick and responsive. They quoted me $400 to move a 2 bedroom upstairs apartment in San Bernardino to a two story townhome in Highland. This was consistent with other quotes. They confirmed multiple times. They showed up almost on time but with a 10 foot truck. IMMEDIATELY I SAID THE TRUCK IS TOO SMALL. The movers walked in the home and said oh we will have to do two trips. Okay, fine. Well that is NOT what happened. They took an extreme amount of time to play "Tetris" to try and make everything fit. It DID NOT!!!! It would have been far less time consuming to do two trips, but no, they spent an astronomical amount of time trying to make everything fit. It took them SIX HOURS just to load almost everything. Remember, this is only a two bedroom apartment. I did have quite a few boxes, but I only had one bed, one dresser, a sectional, one kitchen table. Two tvs and one tv stand. The rest were boxes. We had to tell them we will take the rest to hurry them up. One mover kept stopping and asking me which items I was taking. He asked the following: Are you taking the couch? Yes. Are you taking the fridge? Yes. Are you taking the desk? Yes. Are you taking the table? Yes. Are you taking the bed? YES!!! I wanted to respond, I am moving. What do you think!? It took them six, yes SIX hours to load the truck. They could not figure out how to get the fridge out the door. One mover asked if they took the door off the hinges or the fridge doors off when delivered. I responded no they did not. My partner had to come over (he was waiting at the new place) to help them get it out the door by telling them they needed to rotate the fridge. You would think "pro" movers would know this. The tools they came with was a small hand wrench and screwdriver. My partner had to use our power drill to help them. I still cannot understand what took them so long. The two of them kept stopping and grunting about how their backs were in pain. No offense, I know the job is hard on the body, but if you're injured, you should not be in the moving industry or at least take some time off. They did take down the desk and bed and put it back together. Thank you for that. They also put the fridge in its tight spot in the kitchen, again thank you (although my partner had to help them do that). They took 9 hours to pack and unload. I am still flabbergasted. This is not a rant from a first time user of moving companies. I have used movers six times in the past (I reviewed my last moving company on Yelp. Would have used them if they were still in business). I have NEVER EVER had such an experience. Would you like to hear the kicker? When they finished, they asked for over $1400. $1400+!!!!! Prior to them finishing we called and asked to speak with management. They said the manager would call. He did not. We called again and again and again. Especially once they told us the final cost. The manager NEVER called us directly. The mover had to hand HIS phone over to us. We spoke to the manager and he came down $100 and then we had to negotiate down to $900. I did not want to pay that of course but the movers were standing in our upstairs hallway while we were in our bedroom trying to resolve this. It was so uncomfortable. Seems as though he knew they did something wrong. Why else would he come down so much. We feel like they do this as a SCAM. They bring small trucks so that it takes longer for them to figure out how to put things in the truck. They move slowly. They had two dollies and rarely used them. They were taking some boxes down one-by-one most of the time. From our perspective, they wanted to extend the time. You're completely at their mercy once they arrive and just have to hope they complete the job. Calling management obviously does not help to voice your concerns and try to get them to move it along. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. I had to go back and move the rest of the items in our cars. I was in tears last night because I had to use a credit card to pay. I just purchased my home. I used all of my savings and put it into my home. I now feel like this just puts me in a negative financial situation as a homeowner. If we knew it would take them 9 hours we would and could have done it ourselves in the same amount of time, well I believe less time because we would have gotten a larger truck and used a dolly. If I am ever asked to recommend a moving company... I will ALWAYS preface it with WHOMEVER YOU CHOOSE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE PRO MOVERS INC!!!!!!!!! I hired pro movers to store my items while I was looking for a place to move into. Their storage fee is reasonable and the manager, Davin, was courteous enough to prorate based on actual time of storage as opposed to charging for the entire month. When I had my items delivered to my new residence, the four-man crew of Jose, Brandon, Antonio and Carlos showed up in a timely manner and unloaded all of my furniture and boxes with care. We're not insanely impressed with Pro Movers. Did they get our stuff from one place to another with lots of stairs involved? Yes. However, we were severely under quoted and ended up paying over twice as much as we were initially told. We understood it would be more because of traffic coming from OC to SD, but twice as much?! Some of our pieces of solid wood furniture are now wobbly or scuffed. Both movers (Matt and Roberto) kept complaining about the heat or the drive time to us and we were expected to provide them with water and energy drinks, when we were just moving in and didn't have that ourselves! I think they were trying to get the job done quick and took trips to and from the truck that were too heavy for them, causing our furniture to become damaged. Overall, they were just fine. It was our first time having movers and not having to do it ourselves was amazing, but the quality of service was not worth the price in our opinion. read more

Giving 2 stars since they took the job with only a week notice, BUT lots of problems . To start, they didn't bring a big enough truck , even though they had come to see everything that needed to be moved (and it was mostly all In boxes already. They had to go back and get another truck , pushing the move another 2+ hours . During the drive to the new property, I informed them that the driver would need to show ID at the guarded entrance to the property. And they told me the driver could not produce a drivers license . One of the movers had a very strong smell of marijuana . At the new property, some of the movers started to ask me how could I afford such a nice home (I'm a single mom, and this started to make me very uncomfortable) Then one of my glass tables was dropped and shattered . They said not to report it, and they would just take care of it "on the side " Since I was already really uncomfortable , and it was dark and late at night, of course I agreed to whatever . First time hiring movers and I could not be more satisfied. Not only was it a painless and efficient move, but my guys Joe & Antonio were super cool. They noticed we had a bunch of kid stuff and told us about their families. We may have some rivalries when it comes to sports but these guys treated us like family, probably better. Joe & Antonio handled all of our stuff with care, even nicely wrapped and handled more expensive items like the peloton as if it were their own. This wasn't an easy job either, our place we moved out of was three stories and the guys absolutely crushed the move. Hoping we don't have to move any time soon, but if we do, Joe & Antonio are our guys! Would give an extra star just for the two of them! read more

They scammed us for roughly $200 on top of their harassment of my GF for more tips. Let's ignore for a second the games their movers played to drag the work. They charged $773.5 for 5 hr and 15 mins of work (including the drive time) while they quoted us $109 per hour! More than $200 extra. The movers also harassed my GF to get extra tips from her. She initially offered $40 but they refused to leave until she was forced to pay $60. When we reached out to their manager, Sasha, dragged the response for a week, refused to provide a price breakdown, and at the end they said extra was charged for drive time of 1.25 hour which was not disclosed in their initial quote. Which means they charged $337.5 for 1.25 hr of drive time which is ridiculous! Also didn't take any action regarding their employers harassments. Please stay away from this company for your own sake! read more
