This would be a 5-star except for the estimator (I'm sure he could get better). Moved from Santa Monica, CA to Bainbridge Island, WA. YES, they do offer out of state moving. Movers were excellent, estimator not so much. First the estimator. Move'ie should ask question, ask for clarifications if needed, have them explain everything (what's they say are the things they will move, accurate estimate of house/apt size, when will delivery happen, will they supply box's and packing materials, how many movers will be there, etc). And in writing, all of it. Now the movers. There were two, should have been 3-4 (see estimator section). The two sent were TREMENDOUS! Explained everything. Professional. Courteous. Meticulous. Hamstrung a little by what the estimator had said but worked through all "glitches". Our two guys were. Jose E. and Ben. Ask for them by name, you will not be disappointed!!! read more

Dave and Matt were just awesome. They showed up on time were fast. And I mean fast. Cleverly stacking things in ways to make less trips and cracked jokes the entire time. It was more like having company over than hiring people. Both of them I think cared more about my stuff than I did. Even when I told them I was either going to sell, toss or that I bought something used for $5 they still treated it like it was made of glass. I even had some heavy sh*# that I really felt bad for having them move. Including weights and some heavy rubber mats. They never complained and their cheerful attitude never wavered. In short, I would recommend Pro movers to anyone looking to have their belongings moved. We just bought a house and needed movers, so a good friend of mine recommended this company Brian and John were so good, they were accommodating to us. We kept changing the date because we were unsure of when we would close and get the keys. We made an appointment for 3 guys and a truck for a Sunday move. Sunday came and unfortunately someone called in sick, but John made it up to us, he gave us a hefty discount for out inconvenience. We had Edgar and Suha as our movers. They were great! We were moving a family of 5 from a 2 bdrm apartment into a 2-story house. What i thought would take no more than 4 hours, took 7.5 hrs!!!!! Ugh!!! But most of it had to do with the distance the movers had to comnute...from their truck to the elevator (we lived on the 3rd floor), then from the elevator to our unit was a good 200 yards (2 football fields). Even though we were mostly packed up, it's the distance that made it take so long. Once we got to the house they pulled right up to the garage and we had them unload all the boxes in the garage. But take all the big heavy stuff (couch, beds, dressers, etc...) into the house.That took less than 2 hours! We did it that way so we could unpack at our own leisure and be able to have room to walk around, rather than trying maneuver around a million boxes. The next day, I realized one of the wheels to my husband's office chair was missing, I called Pro movers to see if maybe it was still in their truck, and to my luck it was!! Edgar took the time on his day off to drop it off to me! So awesome! Overall, me and husband were happy, we weren't in pain the next day from moving. Yes, we were exhausted and tired, but who isn't from moving. The main thing is that we didn't have to do anything except tell them where we want our things. All of our things we in tack. Nothing broken or falling apart. I would recommend this company, and if I have to move again I would call Pro Movers! read more

Joe and Christian were the movers they sent and they were extremely efficient with the move! I was moving out from a house and had one bedroom worth of items. They got everything packed up in the truck in less than an hour and quickly unloaded everything as well. The only thing I would recommend some improvement on is being a little more careful with items labeled "fragile". I've got a couple boxes with that highlighted but I noticed that they were treating them like any other boxes and I ended up with a few broke picture frames from the move. read more

Edit in response to the business: CBOs (cardbrand organizations) only allow for the business to charge their average rate of acceptance and that cannot exceed 4%. In addition, you can only charge a surcharge on a credit card for certain situations (like online processing) and you can only charge debit cards convenience fees-NOT surcharges. Hired them for my move from Irvine to Woodland Hills. Steven was a total rock star. He was professional, accommodating and very kind. He is very careful and creative in ways to make furniture fit. Cameron was his team mate and also was very helpful. Note that if you pay by credit card they charge an extra $10 PER HOUR. There is no way that cc fees total that amount so was caught off guard by having to pay an extra $90! Not happy about that at all as it's an unreasonable charge but I did t have the cash. They shrink wrap everything so it takes a lot of extra time so make sure you budget for that as it adds up quickly. read more

Marvin, Spencer and Miguel deserve 5 stars. I had hoped it was a day with no rain, but it wasn't. They worked tirelessly all day. My first stop was a piece of cake. Second stop, was a show stopper for them. Their customer service department did not prepare them for a 10x25 storage unit. Consequently, the truck was not large enough to complete the job. 1/4 of our things were left in storage and our bill doubled. As, I previously stated, these 3 worked hard all day. Packed the truck to the top. Then unloaded efficiently. Would use this company again, but would increase the amount we have to be able to move one time. After all, that is the idea, Right? read more

NOT RECOMMENDED. We were told they were going to come between 3-5 pm on Saturday. The mover called and said he would be there at 4:30 p.m. At 5 pm when no one showed up I called the dispatch manager but no one answered. The driver called at 5:35 and said he was there. We left since there was no communication that they were running late or not coming since they did not arrive at the designated time. When I called to see why they didn't communicate they were going to be late and not answer their phone they lie and said I didn't want them. That was a lie. The movers managed to damage practically every piece of furniture that was moved as well as damaging my wood floors. This is the service I received after requesting a "White Glove Service" I have never experienced anything like this before. Please do not use this company to move your belongings. Updating review now we've received our items and finally worked our way through the unboxing. Would still recommend this company for long distance moves but have docked a star due to not so great communication after pick up and delivery being a bit of a cluster. Had 3 solid guys do the pick up and was told that there is a separate depot up in Oregon with their own crew so the driver wouldn't be the one unloading. Not the case for us. After some back and forth and miscommunication on their end we finally locked in a drop off date, a Monday. I was repeatedly assured the driver would call the day before. That didn't happen, I had to call them and Sundays it sounds like only the customer service team is around, not the guys that take your booking. The customer service guy checked in with the driver and I was advised our stuff didn't leave SoCal until that day. It was due to arrive the next day, a Monday. Monday morning I got a follow up call saying they should arrive after 4p. Items didn't arrive until after 8pm and only had two people to unload - one of them was the driver! Cannot fault his work ethic and he did a good job all things considered but it was well after 11p when they left and that was with my husband and I helping and having them only take the furniture upstairs. We had them unload all of the boxes into the garage. I also had to be that pushy person because they didn't want me to help but I didn't want them to still be unloading well after midnight either. I will say that the guys who packed the items did a very good job. Nothing precious was broken. One of our cat towers was destroyed but lesson learnt - we probably should have disassembled it. They are not the most sturdy of items. As mentioned overall still happy with the service and would still recommend for long distance moves. read more
