DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Before the move they made is so easy but after we paid it was HELL. I was out of town and needed them to move my stuff 1mile from my house to the storage unit for 500 bucks. I still paid cause reviews were good but after I flew home 3 months later to check on the unit SO MUCH STUFF WAS BROKEN AND FURNITURE WAS ALL SCRATCHED UP. They were SOOOO careless with my stuff and the workers left their trash and lunch in my unit!! Also they were suppose to mail the storage key to my in-laws and they never did which made me think they stole all my stuff so I HAD to fly home. We texted them, called them, emailed them and NO ONE ANSWERED FOR MONTHS!!! We are trying to get a refund cause of all the damages now and they still aren't responding in a timely manner! The movers, including Ben, Aaron and Luis, were very professional and helpful. They had good suggestions and we all worked well together. Almost all of my items were moved over to the new house. Some boxes were left behind and I had to get someone to help me lift them. Also - was very unhappy that they left huge amounts of plastic wrap (that went around the furniture) and filled up my trash barrels - leaving with me with no ability to use my own trash barrels. In their favor, I called the company and they did send someone over to pick up their trash at the end of the day. When I spoke to the gentleman who came for the trash, he informed me that it is Pro Movers policy to throw all their trash away with the customer. 3/6/23 The manager has reached out and has taken care of all of our concerns. Update: Our whole move has turned out to be a nightmare. My husband received 6 missed called in a row from one of our movers "Joe" and a very threatening voicemail. I posted a picture of the transcribed voicemail, full of threatening a foul language calling my husband names, just extremely unprofessional and definitely an unstable individual. I will add to this review because I want to make sure nobody goes through this. We made sure to notify the police as well since they know where we live. Literally worst experience ever. We contacted the manager after receiving the voicemail and sent him the actual audio of it, he has been prompt on dealing with this and seemed surprised and was very apologetic. My husband was told we are getting part of our move comped and that the head boss will have a sit down with this Joe guy and that his actions were inappropriate, so there is that. As a mom and a wife this was terrible and just no words to describe how extremely unprofessional this whole ordeal was. It's not even about the money anymore...it's more about safety. STAY CLEAR. The movers were great in the sense they packed and unpacked everything quickly. We were moving from a 2 bed ground floor house to another ground floor apartment. My husband was quoted $200 an hour. We were told that they would be arriving at our house in Costa Mesa in between 9:00-10:00am, they called to let us know they would arrive at 11:00. Not a big deal as we have an infant and I needed to load up my car to drive to San Diego. While they were packing up the truck they told my husband they work for tips and are used to 20-40%. My husband was a little taken aback as the job wasn't even finished yet. Over all everything was moved in quickly. Time stopped at 3:45pm. My husband went to take care of the bill and it was $2000!!! He was asked if he wanted to pay cash or card before he even saw the total. He let them know card. When handed the phone to sign he was barely able to see the itemized report. The math isn't adding up. A move quoted at $200 an hour from 11:00am-3:45pm?! He figured that they included the gratuity in the main bill at that price but after they left got a text saying "we work off tips feel free to Venmo, or Zelle." He felt bad after that as we want to make sure we tip...but it was so much over what we were quoted we got suspicious. When he called to asked for an itemized receipt he was told to call the office. Something is a little sketch here. Now we are unpacking and we noticed my dresser has a massive hole in the back of it. I'm really hoping that's all we find thats broken. It was such a weird experience form start to finish-they asked me to take a picture of the empty truck and leave a good review-I really wanted to and I did at first but at the price and what you get and also the "we work for tips..." well it honestly feels like they already took out a massive tip. A five hour job at $200 an hour costing $2,000. That's $1,000 over what we were quoted. Do yourself a favor and don't use this company. read more

If I could give this company, no stars I would. My move was originally estimated at 7000 and by the time everything was said and done I paid over 17,000 all in $100 post office cashiers checks. The move was supposed to take four days and it took three weeks. The guys showed up at 7 o'clock at night with a driver and a guy he picked up on the street to unload, a 25 foot truck. I had to pay local movers to come the next morning to empty out the truck and pay them an additional thousand dollars. The driver kept saying "I'm only the driver" and was not even here to unload. New furniture was scratched, and boxes smashed they make you sign, saying that everything is in good order, even though you don't have time to go through it. Before anyone hires a mover. Lemme explain my rating: 5 stars for Joe, Jesse and Antonio who busted their asses to get us moved quickly and efficiently. These guys are BEASTS!! They're fast, they're strong, they're organized, and they clearly know what they're doing. They got right down to business and didn't waste any time dilly dallying. We could not have completed our move without them! Truly, I wish that could have been the end of my review... 1 star for the incessant badgering about their tip. It literally started the minute they walked in: "hey, you're getting a third guy for free but I hope that doesn't affect our tip." "So that coin jar, that's our tip, right?" "That used truck would be a great tip! But this one takes the cake...one guy pulled me aside and said "you know, $200/mover is customary and actually on the low end. I mean we'd appreciate anything but we usually get at least $200 each." My jaw hit the floor. I really couldn't believe he had just said that...I even asked my son if I heard that right.. I've never experienced someone who's in MY HOME, HANDLING MY PERSONAL EFFECTS telling me I need to tip them $600 for a job that hadn't even been completed. I was flabbergasted. Quite honestly, these guys almost talked themselves out of a tip completely. I would have tipped these guys because they did a kick ass job but the incessantly nagging was completely uncouth, unprofessional, and displayed major lack of customer service. We reached out to pro movers not because we simply didn't want to do the work ourselves, but we are physically unable to move bigger, heavy items. As it was, getting movers cost us double what I had anticipated (probably my own fault for not calculating correctly) but to have these men who we trusted in our homes, around our families, with our personal items, attempt to exploit us further was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. We are the average family, moving to a new home, we don't have extra money just laying around just to hand out because someone has badgers me about it all day. It sucks to feel like you're being taken advantage of. I thought about not posting a review at all because I know they work hard and absolutely deserve kudos for that and because they know where I live but I'm extremely disappointed and upset that they tried so vehemently to get more money from us. Not ok! Hopefully, this review will save someone from the same situation and serve as a warning to other families who NEED the help. If you choose to hire these guys, just know upfront that they will badger you to give them a fat tip throughout the entire process and make you feel extremely uncomfortable in your own home amongst your own things... My boyfriend and I got Dennis and Payden as our movers and they did amazing work! We originally had scheduled a 3pm move but hoped it would happen sooner and luckily their morning job was canceled and they were able to start at 10:15am. We had packed up most items in our 1bed1bath apartment and also had a storage unit close by that we needed to move about an hour north to a new storage and apartment Dennis and Payden did work you guys!! My boyfriend and I didn't have to lift a finger and we are so grateful for this team. Dennis was sweating up a storm in the end and that's a testament to how hard these guys worked carrying up our couch and 200lb dining table. They did great! The whole job went smooth and we arrived in record time. They organized our storage unit and then dropped out remaining items to our new apartment. Worth every penny! When booking, Donald had checked in about 3-4 times because I kept telling him I wanted to reserve a truck and 2 men but we didn't have an address just yet as we were still finding our next home. They came into my apt and accessed what was moving and got right to it. Pro for "professional"???ABSOLUTELY not. John Rose was very helpful and responsive until he got our deposit. Day of the move they tried to TRIPLE the $5,000 quote they gave us. A quote that was the result of him "walking" the house on the telephone with my husband. They brought a trailer for a 4 bedroom house with a garage full of equipment, which we FULLY disclosed prior to signing. The crew the day of was great, very respectful and helpful but management IS HORRIBLE. The day of the delivery "John is off today" was dispatch's response when we tried to resolve the additional disputed cost. They already had our stuff on 2 trucks by this time. If you still choose to give them your business MAKE THEM PHYSICALLY WALK YOUR PROPERTY BEFORE YOU SIGN! P.S. They STILL didn't move everything. Hubby has to rent a UHaul next week to finish the job. We got moved from Orange County to Downtown Los Angeles yesterday on April 18th. We had an hour or so delay from the original time quoted, but Pro Movers sent their best guys to us: Joe & Donovan! They were lightning fast! I barely was at the apartment as my boyfriend was helping facilitate the move, but Joe & Donovan didn't need any assistance. They packed up quickly, efficiently, and without a scratch or ding. Consequently, they ended up beating us to our new spot in DTLA and were just as efficient unloading as they were packing up. Here are some of the high points I found working with pro Movers. Scheduling over the phone was straight forward and their team arrived promptly on time at the day of the move. Our move was complicated in that we needed two locations where items would be picked up before the final destination. They were able to accommodate that without any concern. Pricing and payment are often a source of stress for both parties. They explained their pricing clearly to me and they completed my project within the budget I had in mind. The team was very respectful of my belongings, they moved and stowed them with great care. They paid attention to my concerns during the project, and they provided ample feedback where they thought the project could be improved. My tips for using their service, or any other mover include the following. Communicate and set your expectations clearly to their team. If you have items that require special handling, let them know. Set your budgets for time and cost realistically given the scope of your project. Try to prepare and pack as much of your gear as possible before the day of the project. Guys did good work good crew just didn't like that they discouraged me not to use credit saying it's more expensive by 10 per hour and "should strongly pay with cash," sure you can give people choices that's fine but if I mentioned I'm okay paying with credit let's let it be. Also they forgot items at my place so now I have to go back to hire additional help at added cost to get these large items moved. After missing items they mentioned at the end of the move that they "normally we get 200 dollar tips "EACH," there was emphasis on that "each," part. That's great and all but a tip is for a good job you don't seed the close of a sale by telling the client what you expect then they're going to feel less inclined to even provide one. read more

This review is on behalf of my friend - she's been In the hospital 90 days and is still recovering. We helped her with the request and attended to the move. She is storing her items with ProMovers and will still be using them to move her to new ADA apartment. We had a few bumps during this move and was connected to John. I hope he will honor his promise to make up the time that was mishandled, understanding her situation. Let me start with - we know things happen.. it's how it's handled and dealt with afterwards. During scheduling they are very helpful on the phone. The day of the move we were told we'd get a call between 8-9 for an arrival between 9-10. At 8:30 I called and was told the crew was on their way. At 9:10 we called their number and was told the dispatch would call us. We had to call again 25 mins later and then called dispatch and was told they were missing people. (We know it's the pandemic - this stuff happens) but we didn't get a call again until 11:10 that our move was cancelled. John did call us after 12 letting us know he would make this right. I hope this is still the case. They did give us priority scheduling the next week, and helped with the move by adding one extra person. Let me preface this with - her move was not easy. They needed to pack and move her stuff and after 90 days of a shuttered, messy apartment you can imagine the state of her apt. The movers were very nice, and the first 2 hours they were very quick. The last 2 were a little dragged out but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt knowing it's exhausting and her apartment was not the tidiest. But make sure to check their itemized list and hours - there were a few corrections needed. if it takes 4 hours to pack boxes and transport to the truck, it does not take 3 hours to unpack the truck of boxes, not unpack stuff. The boxes are just being moved to their storage facility. And that is separate from the drive time ( which he also tried to double on me.) And yes I know Ca law is to 2x the travel time, but he wanted to double count the original time and then 2x it. I'll leave this review open, as I think she will have more thoughts for her move to her final apartment and I'll update again. I would like to use them again if they honor the credit to my friend. Hi, I just had the best experience with Anthony, Payden, and Saul. Despite it being a rainy day at start they arrived on time and were ready to role. Amazed at how fast they work. Communication was amazing they called 1hr before starting to touch base so that they were prepared and equipped. They took care of our belongings and wrapped everything that needed to be wrapped.
