They determined that the motherboard had failed and the hard drive was corrupted. They recommended getting a new laptop versus repairing the existing unit. We talked about recovering the data from the hard drive which would have been fairly costly. Fortunately, my new laptop was able to retrieve my data from the cloud. When I returned to QES to pick up my dead Lenovo, they billed me only the $60 diagnosis charge when they easily could have charged much more for effort to recover data.
