This firm is fantastic! And, the owner/founder Sina is fantastic! My laptop Lenovo Ideapad 720s needed its battery replaced, and I went to this firm. Great choice on my part. They ordered the correct laptop battery and quickly installed it for me. It was great a experience for the following reasons: --Very professional --Reliable --Trustworthy --Good communication --And also good pricing for their services. I will be a repeat customer for them, going forward. I highly recommend it. read more

I am charged for $169/hour, vs Gab s Computer Repair charge $75 for diagnoses . Make sure you are present during the service to communicate EXACTLY what you want. The reason I didn't give higher, is because I am partially responsible for not monitor the process leading to a mis -communication of what needs to be fixed. ( Few days later) Just found out he sold me a watch for $99 amazon sell exactly the same for $61.58 . Sina lost last oz of my trust if there were any from the computer incident. Im shocked!! read more

TL:DR: I was quoted $400 to replace an SSD and "change configuration settings". After refusing the outrageous price, I was still charged $129 for a very vague "diagnosis" (see attached image). When I picked up my PC, it wouldn't even power on, and Sina ghosted me. Thoroughly disappointed with the service I received from Sina and his "team". Don't be deceived by all the good reviews; he may be great for basic phone/computer repairs, but don't trust him with your $1000+ PC if you are looking for an advanced diagnosis and repair. I consider myself a computer enthusiast and built my own computer, though after a year of running mostly stable, my system started crashing very frequently. I tried to diagnose it myself for a while, but with my workload, I didn't find the time and lacked additional hardware to further troubleshoot the issue. I came to I Need A Techie after reading all the good reviews, hoping to interact with knowledgeable people with more testing equipment to help diagnose my issue. After dropping my PC off at the front desk of a corporate office, my PC was taken to an undisclosed location to be worked on. This is not advertised anywhere, and was the first of many surprises I encountered. Through my phone call interactions with Sina, every time I actually spoke with him (~once per day), he seemed increasingly annoyed. I would only call during business hours, yet it still took me calling at multiple different times throughout the day for him to pick up. While he originally said he would have a diagnosis done in 1-2 days, after nagging him every day, he got back to me with a very vague answer after a whole week! Sina claimed that there was something wrong with my SSD and that it needed to be upgraded to a higher capacity and some Windows and Nvidia graphics settings needed to be "configured to its full performance". To carry out these changes, he quoted me $400 (more than 35% of the entire cost of my PC). I refused to pay that much for his suggested repairs, but was still stuck paying the $129 "diagnosis" fee (which he told me about upfront at least). For $129, I expected to at least get a more detailed diagnostics report entailing the details of the various tests that they performed and their outcomes. Instead, he told me that they usually don't write ANYTHING down, and he acted like he was doing me a special favor by sending the "details" in the email (see attached image). I thought it couldn't get worse, but after I picked up my PC (which I couldn't test before I picked it up because it was in a corporate office building) and took it home, it wouldn't even power on. I tried calling and texting Sina, but never got any reply. He got his money and didn't want anything to do with his annoying customer. I usually never write reviews for anything, but I'm sharing a detailed account of my experience in hopes that whoever reads this can avoid getting scammed. Please save yourself a hassle by finding a better place. Based on the outcomes and my interactions, I feel scammed and disrespected. read more

I Need A Techie - What I got for $129 + PC doesn't even power on (fans don't even spin up) - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - Dublin, California

Sina is amazing! He conducted a deep assessment of my laptop's damage and fixed it within a few days. He is very efficient, professional, and responsive to customer's needs. My MacBook suffered water damage and was unable to turn on. When I brought it to Apple, they charged me an outrageous price to fix it. Thankfully Sina was an expert and replaced the MacBook's firmware for a very affordable price. Now my laptop is good as new, and I didn't have to break my bank to buy a new one. I will definitely be coming back to Sina for any tech issues in the future! read more

Sina was able to repair my laptop hard drive and retrieve all my data. Saved me from having to buy a new computer. He did the work quickly and at a fair price. read more

I was scammed by this person/business. I should have put one and two together when I dropped it off at a receptionist that was not part of the computer business. I've been waiting for over four months for a battery replacement, and a software update. I have come to the conclusion that I will never see the laptop again. I was told on countless occasions, "the laptop will be ready next week." That turned into well over 4 months!!! Do not use this business!!! Scam scam scam!!! read more

Sina quickly repaired my laptop and fixed a power cord and power port problem that prevented my laptop from turning on. He kept me apprised of the status on a regular basis. Sina is the gold standard of computer repair in Dublin. Don't waste you time and money any place else. Ray read more

I had a Dell laptop that needed a hard drive / Windows reinstall. I sent out a quick request to several computer repair services on yelp for a quick quote and I Need a Techie responded within 5 minutes. Sina was able to provide a quick quote after I quickly described the problem and he seemed like he knew what the issue was as opposed to some of the other servicers who said they wouldn't be able to give me a quote unless I brought my laptop in. I didn't have any time to waste so I appreciated the quick quote. He also mentioned that if he was not able to fix my problem he would only charge me $69 for the diagnosis fee. I met Sina and handed him my laptop. He said he'll be able to get it back to me by the next day. The next day, Sina called me and said that the hard drive actually needed to be replaced. With my permission, he ordered the hard drive, and said he'll get the computer repaired once it arrives. It took a few days for the hard drive to be delivered, but once it did, Sina fixed it within a few hours, and he delivered my repaired and practically brand new laptop to my home. Laptop works great and is really fast. Communication was great, service was quick (albeit slow delivery time for hard drive to arrive). Sina was very friendly and trustworthy. Would definitely recommend his services to anyone. read more

As like other reviews, I have been scammed too. They had my MacBook for 2 months and had to follow up every couple of days to get a status and get it back. The MacBook is still unusable/unoperable even though I was charged for the repair and the business is not willing to return the money they have charged. read more

I Need A Techie - Bussiness card. - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - Dublin, California

I cannot say enough about how great Sina is. I wish I could leave 10 stars. My son's gaming PC was not working and you can imagine he wanted it fixed quickly. Sina came to the house to pick it up within an hour. Sina was very professional and gave me a business card, had a work ID and was wearing a shirt with his company's logo. He knew this was urgent and called me on a Sunday to discuss the issue and possible resolutions. He did not encourage me to go with the most expensive solution, but talked me through the options that were available. When he brought the computer back he came into the house to help my son set it up and also waited for him to turn it on to make sure everything was working properly. I highly recommend Sina and if anyone would like to message me or talk to me directly please do! Jessica read more

I was struggling to get Outlook and Gmail to sync. Sina was great and followed up with me immediately. He was able to come over the same day and create a new Outlook account to get me up and running again. There were some glitches because of the anti-virus software that was on my computer. I called him (a little early) the following morning he responded right away and logged on remotely to fix the issue. I highly recommend Sina -he is very responsive, knowledgeable, professional and he fixed the problem. read more

Sina did an excellent job changing the screen of my MacBook for a very reasonable price. Thanks a lot. Highly recommended for your services.

Needed assistance with fixing a laptop. He set up an appointment to meet at his office at 12 noon. We reached there and called him, but he didn't show up. Later, he said he would come home to check it, but then after waiting for the whole day, he mentioned that he is busy so can't show up. We asked about next day, but no committment at all. Ultimately, after wasting 2 days, we had to find another company to take care of it. Totally unprofessional and doesn't value customer's time. Very dissappointed. read more

I Need A Techie - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - Dublin, California

Recently my Lenovo laptop needed some work. I checked a number of Yelp listings and decided on I Need a Techie. I can't imagine making a better choice. Sina Enayati, presumably the owner, actually returned my calls. We discussed the symptoms over the phone and he came up with a primary course of action. Sina came to my home and picked up my computer. He contacted me shortly thereafter with a diagnosis. I agreed and he immediately began repairing my laptop. All the while he sent text messages providing status. Sina fixed my primary issue and went far beyond that. This included replacing the battery, removing a good amount of "junk" files, adding RAM and a full and accurate backup of my files. When I contacted him about some other issues I had with the computer he took care of those. When he returned the computer, its performance was considerably improved. Sina addressed and fixed all the problems I discussed with him and went beyond that including adding some helpful utilities. For service of this quality Sina's prices are extremely fair and reasonable. In short, if you are experiencing any problems with your computer all you need to do is contact Sina at "I Need a Techie". You will not regret your choice. read more

My desktop computer was running very slow. I contemplated buying a new one. One day, as I often do, I rebooted the computer. After that I could not open the Excel and word application. I decided to call Sina who was highly recommended by a good friend of ours. I called Sina on a Wednesday afternoon. He was in his office and I immediately drove to Dublin to drop off the computer. He said I could have the computer back by end of the week. Friday, Saturday or Sunday. No problem. I didn't hear from him by Saturday. I called him. I said he needed more time. Should be ready by Monday. Didn't hear from him. Called him on Tuesday. Still needed more time. On Thursday I sent him a text. He sent me back a text indicating I need a SsD for $ 399.00 and he would call to discuss. Never got a call. On Friday I called and told him for a little more than $399.00 I could but a new computer. And I could buy a SSD for $60.00. Told him I needed the computer. He said it would be ready by Saturday or Sunday, saying computer is slide to back up. I finally got the computer back on Monday. When I picked it up, he told me he didn't had the password for my Hotmail account to check excel problem. I asked him why he didn't call me. He said if I find it I could call him. He charged me $100.00 instead of the $190.00. When I got home I tried to find solution to fix excel problem. Then I called him and left a message, asking him to call me and help me to go through the steps. Never called back. Very unreliable. Overpromises. I contacted another computer shop in Pleasanton and they fixed the Excel/Word problem in 24 hours!!!! read more

When I leave a 5 star review, it is because it was well earned. Working with Sina was the most pleasant experience I've had, not only with tech issues, but maybe with customer service, EVER! He was very informative, and extremely helpful in finding the right path for me to take. He gave me different options to fix my old MacBook laptop computer's hard drive and to replace the battery. It basically came out like a brand new computer. He also met with me to pick it up and drop it off when he finished, and he was prompt with his timing as my situation was urgent. If I'm being honest, you'd be wasting your time going to big box stores like Apple and Best Buy who will upcharge you and rush you through your issue. Sina has given me hope that good people still exist, as he was fair with his pricing breakdowns. If you need a techie, Sina the techie is your guy! read more

My cat sat on my laptop, causing it to fall on the floor and break one hinge. Sina quickly responded to my call and picked up the laptop, taking it to his office to make sure there were no other problems with the screen or camera. He gave me ongoing updates and helped me decide whether the repair cost would be worth it due to the age of the laptop and my plans to buy a new machine. The price was fair, the repair time was reasonable and he gave me great tips on potential new machines. I highly recommend. read more

I had an unexpected short when my MacBook completely died. I found Sina on Yelp and he responded to my initial inquiry within minutes. I highly recommend. read more

A further update in case you were considering using I Need A Techie- my "new", rather, "refurbished" computer Sina sold us has been in a constant state of crashing since September along with only having two functioning usb ports out of 4. I strongly, strongly suggest anyone wanting to contract with this man to do any sort of install- don't. He refused to come out and make any repairs to the used equipment he sold us as new because he said that my frustration with him created a "hostile work environment". Interesting how a customer who grossly overpaid for used equipment with countless issues from day one of installation would be frustrated six months into the process of trying to get things to function. Please feel free to reach out to us if you are considering I Need a Techie and would like to know more about our experience- Walnut Creek Historical Society. read more

I had two laptops which I had to get fixed, where one of my laptop's had a lot of viruses and the touch screen wasn't even working, and my other laptop was not turning because of a juice spill. The best part was that Sina came home to pick and drop off the laptops, and I got a loaner laptop while he was fixing it, which was awesome!
