Don't know how we did it but our computer got very sick. We took it to Access Computers. Suresh is a genius. He removed the virus and got it back up and running. He showed us how to avoid unwanted processes and recommended a virus protector. Considering the state the computer was in the cost of the repair was reasonable and worth it. Suresh is knowledgeable and friendly. Hopefully we won't need his help again, but I would recommend him if you have any computer issues. read more

The owner Mr. Suresh Mehta really knows his stuff. I got locked out of my Microsoft Surface laptop and had already gone to Best Buy, but they weren't able to bypass or remove the password because their tools were outdated. I also checked with several local computer shops, and everyone told me a factory reset would be required, which I wanted to avoid because I didn't want to lose my data. As a last resort, I reached out to Access Computers. Mr. Mehta was able to remove the password without losing any of my data. He was professional, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend him if you're dealing with computer issues or data recovery concerns. read more

I came to see Mr. Mehta to get an idea of what it would costs for me to replace my laptop screen. He gave me his ins and outs of what are some possible outcome. I left, and few days later- he informed me the best alternative. He could have well convinced me to get the repair done through him, but after our long conversation about what to do- he was very honest and show me the channel to possible resolution. The point here to note: this is a business that would identify as locally owned and operated, I mean he's just himself- but he has a wealth of knowledge to share. Thank you for taking your time - I wish you a long healthy life journey ahead, may we see you soon when we have more issues :) read more

Suresh patiently and professionally recovered 1.7TB of data from my crashed Mac hard drive, a process that took two days of careful work. From the very beginning, Suresh thoroughly explained what needed to be done and carefully examined the drive before providing a quote. I appreciated his transparency, patience, and the time he took to explain the process upfront. The price was fair given the amount of work involved and the expertise required. Most importantly, I was back in business after just two business days! Recovering such a large amount of data from a crashed hard drive is no small task, and Suresh handled it with great care and professionalism. read more

I cannot recommend Suresh at Access Computers enough. My mom's laptop was in a terrible state after she spilled water all over it, and I honestly thought it was a goner. From the very beginning, Suresh was incredibly honest and professional. He discussed the realistic chances and potential costs of repair versus replacement, making sure I understood the situation upfront. He promised to call me after a full diagnosis to let me know if the fix would be worthwhile. True to his word, he got back to me quickly after only a few days with great news: he could fix it! He accurately diagnosed the issue as a faulty power capacitor caused by the liquid damage. His communication was outstanding, and the repair was completed swiftly. The laptop is now working perfectly, saving me the stress and high cost of replacing it for my mom. Suresh's expertise, integrity, and efficiency were truly a relief. And he's always fun to chat with. This is my 2nd time visiting Access Computers. If you have any computer issues, big or small, go see Suresh at Access Computers! read more

I came to Access with a laptop that was completely drenched in coffee. Suresh, the owner, told me that he would try his best to repair the machine at a reasonable cost (if at all possible) Suresh not only fixed my machine, but was able to get it done at a fraction of the cost that other places quoted. Suresh's technical expertise / customer care really shone through, and I highly recommend him for any computer / technical work that you need done! Will defenitely be coming back. read more

First off Suresh is the real deal! I'm a Dj in the Bay Area and one night at a gig a drunk party goer bumped into my hard drive and broke the solder connection to the hard drive good thing I always keep a back up drive but this drive had everything in crates and sub crates. Looked up hard drive data recovery and access computers came up. Called the shop spoke to Suresh he told me bring it in and he will take a look at it. Well I did and he did. I left my whole music library with him. Long story short we chopped it up for like 30 mins and then I was off. Waiting for a call from suresh. A day later he called me and said he can extract the data and said you have a lot of music on this drive I know I'm a dj. 4 days later got the call it was ready and fixed so I went to the shop and picked it up. He was very on his price I told him he don't know how much this means to me. Super cool gentlemen definitely will use him again if I have to. But also will stop by just to chop it up with him. Don't haggle him on his price just pay the man. Awesome service check him out tell him Dj Jonjeezy sent you! read more

My MacBook decided to die on me awhile ago. I had been putting off fixing it on my own mainly because I wasn't sure if I could recover my files (read: my music collection mainly). I have had this MacBook for quite some time. My dad and I even upgraded the RAM and HD on our own. There were a few clues that it might be on its last leg. Mainly, Clean My Mac kept saying I was running out of memory when I had just put in more and I had updated the hard drive to a hybrid solid state drive. (Don't do hybrid ever again!) Anyway, I was going to work on my laptop at the same time with a friend and it would give me the equivalent to a PC blue screen of death. I thought it was a fluke so I tried to turn it on and off a few more times. Nope. Fast forward to a week ago, I decided to use Yelp's handy request a quote feature. I used it for a few other projects but decided to hold off on them. A few quotes were given and some were way more than the price of my MacBook itself. Suresh wrote back and said to take it in and he'll see what he can do. Great, I come in and tell him what's going on with it. He gives me a reasonable rate and I leave it with him. After tinkering around with it he says he was able to recover my files - the most important thing, install a new better SSD (I order one and drop it off) and re-install High Sierra for me. I now have access to all of my files - many of which I don't even remember having. My MacBook performs way better than before and I didn't have to pay an exorbitant amount of money for it. It's a labour of love for this one man machine aka Suresh. Thanks Suresh for resurrecting my MacBook from the dead, saving my precious music collection, photos and other data and sharing your expertise with your customers. I will definitely be telling others to pay you a visit. Just be patient because there's only one Suresh and many machines that need work on them. read more

Suresh repaired my computer and I was so thrilled with the service and the cost. I had given up hope because I had brought my computer to another computer repair shop, and they failed to fix the problem. It was obvious that they were not qualified, and lacked the required skills to properly diagnose and repair my computer. I was in complete despair. So by chance I brought my computer to Access and spoke to Suresh who assured me he would properly diagnose the problem. After speaking to him it was apparent that he was definitely qualified. What I have learned from this experience, is that there re many so called computer repair shops that simply are not qualified or lack the proper skills to thoroughly troubleshoot and repair computers. My laptop was failing badly and it would freeze up every few minutes. An expert told me that my hard is corrupted and can't be fixed and I needed a new laptop. So, I bought a new laptop. But then I came across Access Computers and began to read the reviews. I went see Suresh, the owner, at his store and he told me that my computer can be fixed a reasonable cost. My laptop had 1 tb Hd, 8 GB ram. I asked Suresh if he can upgrade RAM to 32 GB (turns out I had slots only to 16 GB max) and replace existing HD with 2 TB SSD, in addition remove any virus, plus back up my laptop on an external hard drive. He did all that in two days, and I now have almost new computer with a blazing speed. My cost of all that - about 40% of what I paid for a new laptop which I am returning to the seller. Suresh is a teacher and he not only solves technical problems but imparts a strong dose of education to his customers. INCOMPETENT AND MISOGYNISTIC! SURESH IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! PLEASE READ! This man does not know how to fix a computer nor take responsibility for his actions. I brought my HP Envy 360 to him to fix in Oct 2022. One of the HINGES was broken. All he needed to do was replace the hinge and it would all be fixed. We were expecting a quick fix, which then turned into an entire process, long story short he broke the computer entirely! He called and said that while trying to fix the hinge, the screen broke and he would replace it free of cost since he broke it himself. The screen was working perfectly fine when we brought it in and it was TOUCHSCREEN. I had a perfectly usable computer which this man turned practically unusable. We go back to pick it up and it's a completely DIFFERENT screen than what the original computer came with. He claimed it was the same but it was BURSTING from the frame of the computer. What kind of person who claims they can fix computers, puts a screen that does not fit the frame? The computer didn't even close all the way. When we turned it on, the screen was blurry, and it's not touchscreen anymore. Currently, the computer runs extremely slowly and I'm worried that he took the screen from my computer to fix someone else's. He could have even replaced my processor with a slower one, which would explain why it doesn't run the way it should. Suresh claims that it was like that but I bought this computer straight from HP, have the receipts, and am well aware of what it was like. I used it in college and used the rotating feature and touchscreen to take notes. He only tells lies and is very selfish. My dad and I went back this past summer. And I take full responsibility for bringing it to him extremely late to show that it was a problem. But we both went in intending to show him what he messed up and ask if he can fix it for (ideally free but we know that's not how you run a business nowadays) a reduced price since he messed up. We spent approximately 30 minutes just arguing about the fact that he claimed it wasn't even his fault. When we mentioned that he replaced the screen, he flat-out lied and pulled up the receipt and said he never did that and never charged for it. Why would you charge us for something you broke? He said he would replace it for free, it should not show up on the invoice unless he marked it at $0. As we were speaking, he said to me "You're too young let me explain this to your dad." No. I am a young professional, with 2 degrees, and common sense. I can have a discussion even if he is not. He can be immature and disrespectful. But to be misogynistic and indicated that he would rather talk to my dad. An older, more experienced, "respected" MAN shows that he has no respect for women. He thinks he can walk all over me because I am younger, the only reason my dad came with me is because he is the one who took the computer to him in the first place while I was in college. If you are looking to get any electronics fixed, I would go anywhere else. For professional capability, responsibility, self-respect, and general basic common sense. Thank you for reading, and if you've reached this far, I hope you take what I've written to make your decision. read more

He first identified that fact that my current OS, Catalina, did not work well w my Mac's older technology. He installed Sierra, also installed a new solid state hard drive, and cleaned out a lot of spam that I had picked up. Unsatisfactory. I had my iPhone screen repaired here after 4 visits to the place. Initially everything seemed alright but the repair was done poorly and the screen started having lines across the bottom in about 2 weeks. In a months time the screen had detached from the top half which is either because it was not screwed properly or the glue in the component wasn't strong enough. Overall a disappointing experience. The mgmt doesn't have a good appointment system to manage customers and you can't simply rely on yelp timings to go there and expect to see someone working. The place is understaffed. The cost of the repair was economical but is not worth the time spent and final quality of work. I would have rather gone to Apple store and paid the extra cost to have it done properly and reliably in the first place. A lesson learnt! read more

I've had my computer repaired here after I tried to do the repair myself and mucked it up. He fixed it within 3 days and even replaced the corrupted hard drive no charge with a spare one he had lying around. He was very upfront the entire time about what he would be doing and answered each question i asked him about the computer. Side Note: I'm a bit surprised as to how the 1 star reviews are so petty. If he is unable to fix something or has to order a part he will tell you outright. I do not think that is a valid reason for a poor review. read more
