This review is long overdue! My computer crashed over the weekend. I scrambled around, trying to find a place that was open & reasonably priced. Suresh called me back right away. He had been called away to an offsite job, but was willing to drive by the office early the next day to help me out. Turned out my computer needed more help than I realized.. VIRUSES!!! I'm a published author, and my 5-year-old Sony VAIO laptop recently suffered a catastrophic hard disk crash on the day after I finished writing my latest novel. I then discovered that my backups on my external hard drive were corrupted, which was very upsetting. I thought I'd lost most of my older documents and more recent photographs for sure, but Suresh was able to retrieve nearly everything, and words cannot describe how relieved and happy I am. He also upgraded my laptop with a new 2TB hard disk and lots of extra memory, and it's like having a brand new computer. (On his advice, I also purchased two new external hard drives, and am using a different file backup method now, plus saving all of my works-in-progress to Dropbox, a cloud service.) Suresh and company helped my son solve and fix a nasty thermal shutdown motherboard overheating issue on his laptop where the cause was related to massive dust buildup blockage, a failed cooling fan, and a bad IC regulator chip. Parts came in and the unit was available for pickup within a week and a half. They ran an 8+ hour stress test after repair to verify the fix. I usually attempt repairs myself, but after googling teardown procedures for this HP laptop, it was clear that it was not designed for easy access to components and serviceability, so I decided to let someone else to attempt it. So far, the original burning hotspots are now only warm to the touch indicating that the cooling system is back to working as it should, even under graphic intensive gaming conditions. Kudos to Access Computers for their friendly, knowledgeable, and curtious service at a reasonable price. Location in Dublin is a big plus. I brought my laptop in last Monday to get the charger port repaired. I was told it would take 2 days but instead it took a week. I was charged 150. When I brought my computer home I noticed that my keyboard was warped, my cooling system no longer works and I keep receiving emergency emergency error messages. When I told the company the first thing he stated was "how would I know it was already working". My first transaction was when my computer crashed... and as anyone knows how painful this lesson can be. Suresh was very helpful and knowledgeable.... he gave me options of possible cost first, and then expedited my data recovery. In just a couple of days I had a new hard drive back into my old computer, and I purchased an extra external drive to automatically back-up my system! YEAH! If I could give NO stars I would. I feel the pain of Alicia...I am out $375.00 same story. He says NO problem I can fix it but it doesn't work. When I called him back he gets angry and says, "it is your fault, you are the type of person who does not need a computer!!!" WHAT is up with THAT!!!!!! He also makes the same comment to me, "you are too emotional!!!"...when I try to explain what's wrong with the computer. Emotional....I wasn't crying!!!!
