Been to Prime 13 multiple times and each time was fantastic. The perfect place for date night or celebration. It is BYOB, so know that ahead of time. If you get the chance to have their tiramisu (it is not a constant menu item) then it is a must read more

This is the worst steakhouse I have ever been to. 16oz rib eye was paper thin and definitely not a 16oz steak. My son's fillet mignon was like a hockey puck. The side of potato's and cream spinach was terrible. The waitress said the steak was prime meat I freaken don't think so. Outback has better steak. Do not go there save your money... read more

Anyone who posts that this is a great or even good steakhouse and restaurant in their review has either lived a very sheltered life or is a friend me owner. If you've eaten at any good steakhouses in Northern New Jersey or New York this place doesn't match up. It doesn't even match up with local places that include steak on the menu. (Like Blend) The steak is devoid of flavor and the vegetables and potatoes are not that tasty either. Great if you like it here. I don't enjoy giving negative reviews to any restaurants because it's a hard business, but if you're discerning and like steak, don't come here because you won't get it.. read more

Have eaten here before and had a good experience. NOT THIS TIME! Was having dinner on September 4, 2026 to celebrate my 44th wedding anniversary and my mother's 94th birthday. The filets were tough with one having some grizzle in it. When we ordered desserts, they put a candle in one for my mother. That's it! Nothing special. The hostess that I had spoken with when I made the reservation said that she would make our evening very special. Such a disappointment. Never dining there again! read more

Went New Year's Eve w a 7:30 pm reservation. Very crowded but didn't wait long to sit. Our meals were all delicious and cooked to order. Our servers were attentive and very professional as well as friendly. I had the salmon w sticky rice and Bok choy. Delicious. My husband and two friends all loved their beef and loaded potatoes and ordered creamed spinach. This is a byob which is nice too. Seating is a bit tight but was fine. Prices seemed over expensive but they have a great menu and excellent food quality. We will be back! read more

Delicious experience and our waitress Jen was a gem! We're from Staten Island where our food is pretty much one of the best around but Prime 13 gave me a similar vibe which is hard to touch! Great job ! Jen our waitress grew up in Point Pleasant and was very sweet and gave us some great local tips! I'm very big on service and Jen was extremely attentive! Our meal was great I had the recommended steak that was on the special menu and we tried the pork chop and the Scallops everything was excellent and we'll be returning soon to try some other items ... thanks Prime 13 for the great experience! Check us out on Facebook .. NEW JERSEY FOOD ... great group with plenty of Nj recommendations and if your ever in Staten Island check out STATEN ISLAND FOOD.. that's my main group where we shine! Prime 13 - Amazing service Brigitte toke care of us today and she made sure we was set up for an amazing experience I will come back to every time - Steakhouses Near Me - Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey

they charge $65 dollars for a rib steak that looks like it was purchased at Walmart probably 1/2 inch thick. Half of which was fat and could not be eaten. The creamed spinach ( a la carte) looked like it was made with mayo thick and sickening, brussels-sprouts (a la carte) dried out like just coming out of toaster oven. When the waitress volunteers that she will not recommend a steak beware. All in all the worst dinner we had in memory. Nothing near a chef just cooks. Would not mind but they are on the pricey side and did not deliver. No wonder more than half the tables were empty. read more

A steak had to be sent back because it was undercooked, it came back undercooked again. The owner came and spoke with my pregnant wife about her steak, but because she is a woman he would not listen to her and tried to claim that his three kids were going to suffer because of her. Completely unprofessional. I had to speak up and say something because he was seemingly unwilling to take the word of a woman, but immediately accepted what I said and left us. I live in the area and even the owner would have been polite and professional I would not be recommending to friends and family. At this price point i expected more. The steaks were good but not great and at this price point I expect a great steak. I recommend passing on this establishment. read more

Food was excellent! Two of us shared a Patlafrieda strip steak, loaded baked potato, and sauteed mushrooms. All was just delicious ! 6-18-25 @ 5:15 to 6:40. Party of 2. The hostess and server were nice. Everything took way too long to come out of the kitchen. My $50 filet was under cooked, which had to be cooked more. My girlfriend's mashed potato's were cold. They added the wrong onions to our orders. The place was nice looking, but I believe they were understaffed. We were offered an apology, but the disappointing meal should have been discounted! Also, considering the top dollar prices here they should have wine. read more

Food was hugely delayed, grossly under cooked and the service was terrible. Will NEVER go back again.

This used to be my favorite place for steak. Tonight the service was awful which ruined the evening. We asked for "the wood" (the most expensive thing on the menu) steak not to be fired up until we requested because we were having the special cheeseboard. The waiter, Travis, had an attitude after the request and ignored us most of the evening. We had to call him over for everything. He walked around the dining room but didn't look at our table at all. The steak was delicious, but the waiter completely ruined our dinner. They did not give us the 13% off the bill that was advertised for Wednesdays and Thursdays in December. We were so upset at the service that we forgot to call them on it. read more

Travis was an incredible server! The restaurant is beautiful. We shared the tomahawk and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection! The mashed potatoes were smooth, french onion soup was the perfect comfort and the caesar salad had the best presentation I've ever seen! Definitely keeping Prime 13 on the list of go tos! read more

I am extremely satisfied with the food and service I received tonight. I ordered the pork chop, my server Travis was super helpful in not only helping me order exactly what I wanted, but preparing it with the perfect cooking temp. as well as going above and beyond to pair my chop with an Apple onion jam that sent my experience through the roof. The price as well was amazing and we are looking forward to dining at Prime13 again in the future. read more

Food and service were both amazing! So happy with the quality and taste of my steak and sides. Amazing deals as well, the price was much lower than anything comparable in the area. I have lived in point for years but for some unfortunate reason it's taken me this long to visit to Prime 13, it will not take us long to come back! Our server Travis was super kind and attentive, each menu item came out perfectly prepared, we are very excited to make this our new weekly stop! read more

The recent poor reviews kinda baffle me. The service was great, the food was great and it was a really nice evening. My wife and I came here for an anniversary dinner on the recommendation of her cousin. We were sat right at our reservation time. The dining room is small so on busy nights I can see how some stragglers can make turning tables over slower than expected. We were attended to quickly by our waitress who was knowledgeable about the menu and happy and helpful. We shared oysters for an appetizer which were delightful. My wife got the seared tuna and I had the surf and turf. We were both very happy with our meals. Portions were generous too, we didn't have room for dessert which is unusual for us when we go out for a special occasion. The place is BYOB which is another win in my opinion. We had a great experience. No hints of anything that would merit a 1 star review. read more

Stay away!! Bad management!! They refused to take our $100 gift certificate dated Dec. 2022, saying they no longer accept GC's dated before Nov 2023. Same restaurant name, this is bad business! Ordered a porterhouse medium. Comes out rare. In addition when does a porterhouse come without a bone? Chef/comes out to try to tell me how smaller steaks don't have the long bone. Menu didn't say smaller steak. Then they brought it back into the kitchen to cook it some more. All this happening while my spinach and potato got cold. Came back out more well done but still an excuse, terrible food. read more

At our friend's suggestion, we met for a Saturday night dinner at Prime 13. Since it was during Covid, we sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful summer evening. Contrary to the experience of many other Yelpers, our waiter and the rest of the staff all had mask on and provided good service. Appetizers: Cheesesteak eggrolls Tuna tacos Grilled octopus Entrees: Soft shell crab over butternut squash risotto-special of the evening Delmonico Steak All the dishes were very good-except for the octopus which could have been more tender. A huge shout out to the butternut squash risotto, as good as it gets. We enjoyed Prime 13 and would visit again soon. read more

As Steak Houses go - we heard so much about this place we had to try it. two couples, three of us seasoned steak eaters, and here's my opinion: Atmosphere - Excellent! Service - Excellent (Warm & Friendly) Appetizers - Garelic Shrimp (VG), Angry Octopus (Good), P13 Bacon (Good), Fried Calamari (Good). Dinner - Steaks ( NY Strip, Ribeye & Filet) - all were OK, not bad but not the best Steak we ever had + Pan Seared scallops - Very Good! Desert - Oooy Gooy Cinnamon rolls & Coffee - Very Good!!! Overall a nice diner out, but quality of steaks did not justify the price - jmo read more

First time patrons and we will definitely be returning. The food was delicious, served hot and cooked perfectly. Bridget B was our delightful sever. We watched in delight and awe. The entire staff was helpful, courteous and attentive. A+ read more

Good spot, pretty reasonable for a steakhouse. The sides are smaller than I would of liked but if you get a tomahawk (which I would recommend), two sides and a salad are included for about $100. Sides wise: lobster Mac n cheese was very good but not really worth the extra money that it's charged. The mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were good. Appetizer wise, the peppers were fantastic, the bacon left a bit to be desired. I would come back. read more

First time here on the recommendation of a friend. Love the interior. Clean. Classic. Modern. The food was amazing. Caesar salad served in a crispy Parmesan shell. Simply amazing! Our server, Travis, was perfectly in tune with our vibe. We started off with a dozen oysters, perfectly shucked and fresh... delicious. We each had a salad (house for me and Caesar for my husband). I've seen places that mess up salads but this want it. Mine was super crisp and the fennel vinaigrette was delicious! My husband said his Caesar was among the best he'd ever had and he loved the garlic crostini instead of croutons... nice touch. We got the tomahawk ribeye and it was perfect. I had an accompanying béarnaise, which was delicious as well. Mashed potatoes were awesome and the asparagus grilling brought a nice smokiness to the sweet spears. We had to have dessert - cannoli tacos and all I can say is if you like cannolis, get this and you won't be disappointed. Separate from the food is the camaraderie you see amongst the staff. Everyone really seems happy to work here. Kudos to leadership on this one. We live far away but definitely recommend this restaurant who come this way. Extra nice touch was the reminder that they are BYOB from the reservation app. read more

Ever since the new owners took over the food and the service have been so much better. Last night we sat at the chefs table and I ordered the Scallops to start. I cleaned the plate, even all of the poblano and peach chutney!! I had to stop myself from eating all of the cheddar biscuits with herb butter and apple sage jam so I could save room for my main. I ordered the Piedmontese steak which came with asparagus, onion rings, hash browns, and the most delicious sauce. As if that wasn't enough, the chef even sent over their new handmade braised filet mignon ravioli with a white wine garlic sauce and wild mushrooms! I wanted to lick the plate clean. Somehow I managed to save some room for the s'mores beignets and a bite of the cheesecake cone. Totally worth it!!! Can't wait to come back read more

This was our first visit and it won't be our last! We went for my husbands birthday. We were welcomed immediately by staff into lovely atmosphere. Amy was our waitress and she was wonderful! Very knowledgeable about menu-helped me narrow down my choice for entree. Food was just fantastic! Beyond expectations! My husband had grilled ribeye -best he ever had. My selection (after much deliberation) was the seared scallops and they were incredible . Everying ordered from starters to desserts meets or exceeds expectations! Can not wait to return! read more

Visited Prime 13 for Mother's Day. Disheveled male host immediately had an attitude when our table was not ready for our reservation. We ended up being sat 20 minutes late. We were told we could go have a walk to the liquor store to take advantage of Prime 13's BYOB policy. Waitress was kind, but entirely absent. She essentially hid from us a majority of the time because she knew the kitchen was backed up. We saw her twice, once to take our order, once to tell us the kitchen was backed up and offer us more bread which we never received. We were served our food at 9PM, 2 hours and 15 minutes after our reservation should have begun. Four people at our table, four steaks were either over or undercooked, had to be sent back, waitress was apologetic, but that doesn't excuse the obvious non-use of a meat thermometer or cook level check in the kitchen. Still genuinely confused about the random pile of 4-6 julienned sweet peppers and sun dried tomatoes on the plate with the steak. Waitress told us sides were a la carte and large enough to be shared, they were not shareable, she should have been able to tell us that pretty clearly, instead she said, if they're not big enough, you can just order more! (And wait another hour!) Atmosphere is loud and crowded, they very obviously pack as many people as possible into the small venue to make as much revenue as humanly possible, at the expense of quality and comfort. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid Prime 13, go to Gabriella's in Red Bank, NJ. They are able to offer the experience that Prime 13 attempts to. read more

The server, I believe her name was Kayla, was good but looked like she was shorthanded with staff like everywhere else but she did her best. I would give her a 4/5 stars. Been here several times but not in past 2 years so I was looking forward to a great steak, unfortunately it was a dissapointing. Salad was good, but after waiting almost an hour for main course the tomahawk was under cooked and tough, you can fix undercooked but you cant fix tough, it was not tender and of low quality not what you would expect from steak house. The spinach was sour and not tasty at all. The twice baked potatoe was ok. And the vanilla cheesecake tasted sticky and dense instead of light and fluffy, was also just ok. I would rate the food 2/5 stars. This the 3 star average of both service and food read more

So I have not been back here since Covid began. Before going in I told myself I wouldn't judge any restaurants for service since most places are currently under staffed. The service wasn't terrible. Bridgette was our waitress and was running all over. For appetizers we had pork belly and spicy shrimp. All were good. We all got the house salad which was ok. My disappointment comes from the entrees. Two in our party shared the bone in tomahawk ribeye. It was cooked perfectly at a medium rare. Two other couples each shared the surf and turn. Which was also cooked perfectly. I had to be the odd ball and get the crab cake. After two bites of bread I smashed the rest looking for crab. I found very little. It was a bread cake. I pointed it out to the waitress and she said she was surprised patrons usually love their crab cakes. I asked her to show me crab. She went back and asked the chief. She came back and said the chief didn't prepare the crab cakes so he couldn't speak for them. Hold on what?!?! So I had two bites and was charged for the meal. Thirty four dollars for a bread cake is ridiculous and I won't go back. Shameful for upscale dining. Dessert we had Crem Brûlée and the warm apple cobbler. The apple cobbler was not good at all. Next time in point I'll go back to poached pear. They have two crab cakes for the same price and it's mostly crab. read more
