Romantic and cozy vibes, great for a hangout and date night. Space is slightly limited so do plan ahead. Their drinks were punchy and strong which we really liked but for pretty steep prices. Didn't get to try food this time but seems like they mainly do burgers, again at pretty high prices. Overall, a fancy nice spot for a splurgy nightout.

One of my go-to bars in the Pearl area. The drinks here are consistently good and I have never had any issues. The people working here are friendly and quick to make our cocktails. I like their Ugly Old Fashioned and the Pretty Popcorn. They also can make any other drinks that you want, if the items on the menu isn't something you are feeling.

First time stopping in. We just got drinks before our dinner rsvp across the street. We were told they just opened Jan 2026! The bartenders were engaging and impressive, the cocktail selections were great and the menu of food looked amazing (locally sourced ingredients, elevated burgers, salads, sides). The dim lit lighting is warm and a great cozy vibe for date night. Can't wait to return! Sister bar to Silk Road right across the street!

Stopped in before an art show around 5:30 on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy but steadily got busier. We sat at the bar and got very attentive service. The cocktails were delicious and strong. The salad and fries were good for sharing and the fried chicken sandwich was flavorful without being too saucy. I would definitely return with friends or for a date night. Classy but foofy. Nice people!

100/10! Service was great - we got seated quickly during the Friday dinner hour without a reservation. Gorgeous, moody atmosphere with a stunning bar setup. Bartender was super friendly. The cocktail menu is amazing and I could barely decide which - we got two and loved both. And the food was phenomenal, top quality meat and sauces are homemade and delicious. Already planning to bring everyone I know here so I can make my way down the menu.

Great burgers and cocktails. Nice, quiet place to grab a drink before the working people get out. Good date night spot.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

But as soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is beautiful, with a stylish central bar that immediately catches your eye. Although they do serve food, I wasn't very hungry, so I decided to just enjoy a couple of drinks. There are a few dining tables inside if you're planning to have a meal as well. The bartender was incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with me after I asked for a few recommendations. The drinks were excellent, well-balanced, flavorful, and actually tasted like proper cocktails instead of just juice. They definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol either! I'm really glad I chose this place to celebrate. It ended up being the perfect spot for the occasion.

Scotch Lodge recently won Outstanding Bar at 2026 James Beard Awards and it absolutely deserves it…read more The cocktails here are seriously some of the best that I've had in the States. In addition to creative, well-prepared cocktails, the food here is equally spectacular. My wife and I shared their Wagyu tartar and a soft shell crab sando. You'll see these two dishes at virtually every single table if you look around the restaurant during your visit and there's good reason for it: these two dishes are perfectly executed. Every piece of the tartare is evenly cut the be the same size, and there wasn't a single piece that was stringy or chewy. The dish itself was well-seasoned, and the freshly fried kettle chips provided the crunchy texture the dish needed. The soft shell crab sando is served between two toasted slices of rich, decadent, buttered milk bread. The crab has a wonderfully crispy outer shell and atop of the crab is a mountain of crunchy, tangy slaw. They must have done a bunch of R&D and experimentation playing with the ratio of the ingredients because every bite was balanced. If there's one dish you have to order during your visit, make it the crab sando. The two cocktails I tried out were the "loch stock" -- mezcal, smoky scotch, ancho reyes, lapsang souchong sweet vermouth, and mole bitters, and the "up country road" -- bourbon, coconut-inflused sweet vermouth, macadamia nut campari. I cannot articulate how incredible these two drinks tasted. The flavor profile of the drinks are punchy and exactly as described. I am certain there's something on the menu for everyone's palette. I would highly advise you to stay hydrated throughout your visit so you're able to make it to two, or even three round of drinks. The drinks are that good. I cannot recommend Scotch Lodge enough if you're visiting Portland. Definitely make a reservation and be sure to try out the food as well.
