The bartenders were super friendly and really good at recommending drinks. We didn't eat there. Love the vibes of the bar and the cute little cups they can serve them in. Im not sure if the drinks come in specific cups or if you have to ask for the special cup... i asked.

    great friends, great vibes

TLDR: this is probably the best cocktail bar I have ever been to. I used to live a few blocks from here way back when I lived in Portland. Back then, there was an amazing business in here called The Cardinal Room (?). I loved it, they had a romantic cozy ambiance and incredible chicken sandwiches. While the food is gone, the unique, romantic ambience is back and the drinks here are next level. It's a cocktail bar that has amazingly crafted drinks but ZERO pretension about them. In fact, the service here is incredible. Friendly, fun, and frequent. They were very good at just making random creations based solely on flavors you like. But even if you are ordering on-menu, there is something here for everyone and none of the drinks are boring. I plan on coming back here every time I'm in Portland and...I WISH I still lived a couple blocks from here!

Too Soon is the bee's knees! Me and my friend spent a couple hours here during our recent trip to Portland, and it was by far my favorite bar experience. Our server was pleasantly boisterous and provided excellent recommendations, and I quickly noticed the mark of their high caliber bar program. So, I just let her surprise me with a cocktail each time I ordered another drink. They were all superb. I even took two of their Jell-O shots, which were the best I ever had. I DO NOT like Jell-O, by the way. The inside seating area was pulsating with energy each time I walked through to use their facilities. If it means anything to you, they were recently included in Esquire's list of The Best Bars in America 2025.

    A+ cocktails for sure

Top 25 bar in the country, really? If based on ambiance, there's a good vibe, but far from such an accolade. If based on menu offerings and taste, then it's certainly worthy. The Beekeeper cocktail was delicious and packed a good alcoholic punch. The cocktail with pandan was light and refreshing as expected. But the most memorable experience was the buffalo chicken sandwich on Happy Hour, so much better than expected! Many venues get their buns from a small selection of bakers such as Dos Hermanos, Fleur De Lis, etc., I don't remember ever tasting the wonderful bun used here. The tempura broccoli was meh, but at least not too greasy. Nice server, but when we inquired about our fish and chips order that was placed sometime ago, she indicated she never put it in. Lost revenue and tip, oh well. Maybe wait for the buzz to settle as getting a seat or table might be tough.

Cute bar with a great atmosphere. Very trendy but in a specific almost niche way. Street parking available all around, but we were able to walk. We were able walk-in the times we went. The bartenders are nice as well. The drinks were pretty good. We got the Old Fashioned and a couple other drinks. Also one of the nights, they had a Chicago pop-up called Over by Dere with interesting drinks. The had a pizza negroni! Too Soon is cute and I can't be back soon enough!

This is the coolest bar and they have such great mixologist that know exactly what they are doing! It's nice and dark on there so perfect for a date night because it is intimate. They also have some outdoor seating. The best thing about this bar is that they have a "bartenders choice" so you tell them what types of flavors you like and they will make a drink for you. The bartender asked us a few other questions like if we want an egg white in it and what type of alcohol. They absolutely nailed the drinks they were soo good! We also had one of their signature cocktails which was the "the right now" which has a good Smokey aspect too it and it has artichoke salt which is such an interesting taste. Overall, an amazing and intimate cocktail bar!

Stellar in EVERY way. Perfectly balanced cocktails, meats, outstanding food and beyond attentive service! Everything was on point. Believe all the reviews. Chill vibe and the staff are genuinely great human beings who care about your experience. The buffalo chicken sandwich was a standout and the portlight cocktail amazing. Run. Don't walk. It won't be "too soon" and before you know it, I'll be returning too! Even money says you will want to return after you go to here. So go to here!

Vibey bar with amazing cocktails and tasty bites. Love the menu of fun cocktails or you can tell the bartender what you are looking for and they will make you something; either way, it can't go wrong!

Cute inside, good drinks, nice staff, right on lively 28th, has a patio... fun little bar for date night or ladies night

Cute bar with a fun vibe just off Burnside. We checked it out while we waited to a table a Ken's Artisan Pizza down the road. I was glad to find a cool cocktail bar nearby to visit! I had the melon and pandan drink which I liked! My husband got the Last Rites which comes in a fun cup (he got the banana!) The staff were super friendly. I liked sitting at the bar and watching the bartender make drinks. I also heard other tables asking for them to make up something off the menu and they were happy to do that!

Too Soon is super cute and fun! My friend found this bar on instagram! It's more of an intimate setting I would say due to the dark ambiance and the red and blue disco effect lights. I ordered the melon and panda which was refreshing in a chilling ice glassed mug. My friend ordered the mango chili which I really enjoyed the tangy spice. My other friend ordered the barista's special which was cool that you get to be randomly surprised with a cocktail. But they're definitely will notify you in advance of the type of liquor. Menu is limited. The mushroom fitters were mushy. My friends liked the pork sliders and albacore though, so definitely try snacking on these small plates. The servers were super attentive and always checked in on my party. I would suggest going with a party of less than 7 people because it is a little bit smaller.

A very cool, trendy spot with a definite mood - but don't let the ambiance deter you from a fun time! The service was very friendly! Drinks were fun with their house special tonic and Japanese spirits. We also had fries, and I would just advise against eating here. It wasn't bad, but was overpriced bar food that made me feel gross afterwards. The drinks are the better choice!

We had some time waiting for a table at a restaurant down the street. The bartender was great, she could tell we weren't sure what we wanted so said she could make something for us just needed to ask some questions. It was great she asked yes no questions like do you like creamy drinks, banana, citrus... I got a great citrus focused drink and my husband wanted something non alcoholic that night and got a fun mixture. Like the atmosphere and the friendliness of both bartenders, very inviting. Nice sit and bar and tables in the back. Like the drink wall.

The ambiance was adorable, with such a nice patio out back--perfect for a warm day! Unfortunately, oysters are only available on Sundays, but we decided to grab a couple of other little snacks instead. We got the steak tartare, and I have to say, it was honestly some of the best I've had in a long time. It had the perfect smoky touch and absolutely hit the spot. We also tried the sardine plate, which was such a fun little snack. The tzatziki sauce surprisingly paired so well with the Spanish sardines and really pulled everything together. Spanish sardines with a Middle Eastern-inspired sauce? Pretty clever! Our server was also lovely and came out to check on us throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. For just a little drop-in snack, the whole experience was surprisingly memorable and definitely left us wanting to come back. Such a cute spot! I'll definitely be adding this one to my list of go-tos with friends. Can't believe it's been right around the corner and I'm just discovering it!

The ambiance is downright whimsical! Great wine selection, gorgeous floral installations, and one of those spaces where you immediately want to settle in with a book in hand. But let's talk about the crudo. I still think about that crudo. Bright, lemony, silky olive oil - simple but done so well. We even asked our waitress if we can keep the leftover olive oil to use it with the bread we ordered lol The oysters were also fantastic. They were barbecued, which isn't something you see every day. A little drier than a raw oyster, but still full of flavor. Limited seating so be sure to call ahead of time for a reservation if need be. This feels like the kind of place you celebrate something special, and honestly, I would not mind spending a birthday here at all! Worth it. btw the alleyway walking up to this place is so charming.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

There are a few dining tables inside if you're planning to have a meal as well. The bartender was incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with me after I asked for a few recommendations.
