Lulus was definitely an experience. We got to talk to the bartender a lot and shared his knowledge about Mezcals. We got some wings and a burger which was nice with the cocktails that we ordered. All the cocktails were extremely elevated and I of course got the Espresso Martini. We hope to make it back one of these days for Jazz Night.

Revisited after manay years and this time they hit it out of the park (with the exception of soggy fries)! We went on a week night instead and it's much more pleasant. Pretty empty, bartenders were very friendly and made AWESOME drinks. Their Happy Hour deal is honestly some of the best in town with $10 craft house cocktails and lots of delicious food. We went to town with their food menu and really loved the Steak Empanandas. Super crispy, super juicy on the inside. Chicken Katsu Bowl was nice too. Again with crispy chicken and delicious sides. Salt & Pepper Squid was decent. Crunchy and flavorful. I know it's mostly fried food but they did hit. The only miss was their Peruvian Fries for me...Lukewarm, soggy. The sauces did make it up but not ideal. For $8 tho, very generous portion. They do Jazz Night on Wednesdays around 7pm as well. We'll definitely be back for their HH again!

my experience here was amazing! the bartender was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. you can tell he's very passionate about the science behind making cocktails. i forgot what my drink was (it had the lychee foam) but it was amazing. it was sweet and fragrant and had a wonderful blend of flavors. i would definitely recommend trying it if that's what you're into. we came during a jazz night and the music was perfect. it set the mood and was a nice end to a chaotic work day. prices are a little expensive, but it's worth the experience.

Delicious menu with great nonalcoholic options. Super cute and cozy bar that gets nice and dark with wonderful music playing.

Lulu Bar PDX is one of my all time favorite places to grab a quick drink. Their pre-dinner hour is quiet and gives a VIP experience vibe. Their dinner hour is bumbling with happy friends and delicious food (smash burger is actually calling your name). And finally, their year round ease of visiting might be my top reason of love for this place... also my name is Lucy and many call me "lulu" so it only feels right to be here! Oh, you're having trouble deciding on a drink? Well, I always will recommend an extra dry gin martini... but at Lulu I am a stan for the toasted marsh espresso martini. Plus, quick and friendly service makes it easy to order more ;) Enjoy your time! Xoxo, Lulu.

Stopped in on Saturday night for a nightcap not realizing there was a crazy busy nightclub next door. Music in the bar was too loud for such a narrow space IMO (my partner, a career club DJ, surprisingly agreed) and service was awkward. The server came by to put waters on the table with some napkins, handed us menus and told us to order at the bar, which was completely packed with people so it took 20 minutes just to order drinks. This was after waiting 15 mins for the server with the waters... after waiting so long I was looking forward to my cocktail. Unfortunately it was syrupy sweet and not balanced at all. My partner enjoyed his cocktail because he prefers it to be more sweet than taste like liquor Did my best to finish my drink so we could move on to find another spot to redeem our nightcap experience. Maybe we need to visit again on a slower night but for now, we have a ton of other options to explore in PDX first.

Lulu is amazing, what a great place to stop and have a drink and food. The ambiance is amazing, it's upscale but welcoming. We stopped by this time on Jazz night and while Jazz isn't my thing it still vibed amazingly. The drinks and the food are what separates Lulu from any other place- the drinks are on point- the custom cocktails better than any I've had in Las Vegas which is absolutely mind blowing. Josh and Clay are masters of their craft. The food is 11/10... damn. We hit happy hour and got the Peruvian fries and they were delicious. The Saltado is where is was at though.. man this was rich, hearty and salty. One of top 10 dishes in my life. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. Taking the work crew here next time we have meetup right after work. You can't top this place! Now service was stellar, Josh and Clay were just crushing it. Perfect level of service, there when you need them and not when you don't. What a hidden gem. Please try Lulu, I'm sure you'd agree.

My boyfriend and I went for a date night to Lulu, the staff was great and friendly and made great recommendations on drinks whiskey and food. Their Peruvian fries and wings were amazing. I had 2 cocktails that were great! I tried the espresso martini and swipe right! Highly recommend. It's a date night vibe then after 10pm they have a DJ.

Cloud nine. Yummmmmmm.

Cloud nine drink was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly. The spring rolls weren't authentic spring rolls but I wasn't mad about it. The ingredients tasted fresh. Space is good. Bar seating. Lower tables, and a couch area. The only thing about Portland bars at night is the overpowering oontz oontz of music. The DJ was ok but man that music is so loud you have to scream to the person next to you to hear them.

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance : 5/5 My girlfriends and I were in the area and decided to check this spot out and wow, it did not disappoint. The dark, mysterious vibe created such a great atmosphere. It wasn't crowded, with only one other group besides us, so it felt very private. The server was sweet, quick, and super friendly. The drinks were great, and the food was amazing! We ordered the Peruvian fries, salt and pepper squid, and ceviche. I'd skip the ceviche next time, but the fries and salt and pepper squid were perfect snacks to pair with drinks, highly recommend them. There's also a photo booth, but it's digital and doesn't print photos, so just keep that in mind. Overall, we had a good time and would definitely come back!

Always love coming back to lulus, whether it's for live music or their slight change in the menu. I always enjoy what they have to offer. Thursday evening, It wasn't packed and was pretty chill. Sat at the bar and ordered a cocktail (swipe right). Had a conversation with the bartender, she was really nice. As my two friends joined me, we then ordered our food. I got the ribeye steak curry, while the other two got chicken katsu bowl. Ribeye Steak Curry: came with rice, curry was panang curry. So it was quite sweet and coconuty. Swipe Right: on the citrusy side but sweet. So if you like a sweet cocktail, I recommend. We left a bit early but if we had stayed, we would have enjoyed the live music that happens on Thursday's. Also want to go back to trythe Black Ink Squid Noodles with Shrimp and Lo Macho Sauce.

Bartender special. The bar tenders here are amazing they know the liquors they have and are willing to riff

The bartenders here are amazing. Foods good; empanadas are the best, burger is ok, wing are great but temp is lava

LOVE the vibes here! We stopped by before seeing YDG at 45 East on a Friday night and the atmosphere was great! It was crowded and there was a DJ in the back. I liked the dark ambiance of the space and the lights from behind the bar. We ordered the Swipe Right cocktail from their menu and it was delicious! I can't wait to come back and try some of the other cocktails on their menu!

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

We came to Teardrop Cocktail Lounge while visiting Portland and were genuinely impressed…read more The cocktails were excellent -- thoughtful, well-balanced, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.

It really does feel like you've discovered something special. The cocktails were excellent. Thoughtfully crafted, well-balanced, and creative without being gimmicky. Everything we ordered tasted intentional and high quality. We also shared a charcuterie board, which was a great call. Perfectly portioned, nicely curated, and a really good pairing with cocktails. What stood out just as much as the drinks was the atmosphere. It felt intimate, warm, and conversation-friendly -- the kind of place you want to linger. One thing that bothered me though (and I know maybe I'll get hate for this), is I feel like some of the decor is tone deaf. They have a bunch of colonial men ceramic decor, but they partner with and serve food from a Filipino company. I'm Filipino and it was a bit offensive to me because even if the point of having them is trying to make fun of them, it's not really funny. We were colonized for over 300 yrs and still deal with the trauma from it. Please consider removing the colonial decor. I really enjoyed the bar and want to enjoy it in the future, but I don't think it's necessary to have those things in the bar and doesn't add anything to how cool the bar is apart from that. UPDATE: the bar messaged me. They were super professional and kind in their response. I really appreciate that they were open to my perspective on the colonial items and said they will be removed. Thank you so much!! Looking forward to enjoying the bar in the future
