I grew up in Morrisville, but haven't lived in PA for almost 10 years. The Vault (same owners as Pretty Bird Coffee) is always on my list of places to go when I come home, and now Pretty Bird is too. Pretty inside & outside, this coffee shop fits perfectly on S Main Street and is a place to try if you haven't been here yet. I ordered a tea latte (they have several loose leaf tea options) and it was delicious. I made the mistake of not specifying if my drink order was for here or to-go, which is a lesson learned, as the beautiful latte art was lost once pouring into a to-go cup. The wait time felt average for a busy coffee shop, and when I went on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm, I was surprised by how many people were there. It's was the worst! Just went for a two eggs sandwiches. Chocolate & fudge muffin was dry as hell. I just tossed in the trash. $16.00 plus tax. Can it tell you it was horrible! Not only did it take 20 minutes for a simple egg sandwich. It was literally thrown together. You leave kids to run a coffee shop. SMH ‍. You can do better! read more

I've been to PBC a few times and I really tried to love it. It's clean, the decor is cute. I really dig the vibe when you walk in. However, as many times as I've been here, I can't say I love the coffee. They are also very inconsistent with what they have. It seems to be hit or miss on whether or not they'll have the ingredients to make what you're looking for. I always strive to support small business, but really can't support the inconsistencies here and the unfriendliness from the staff. Maybe in a year or so I'll try again,but for now I'll stick to my consistent Starbucks lattes. - I also think it's super strange that it doubles as a sushi place in the evening. read more

I've been here on and off since it opened. Even though I no longer live in the area, I try to stop by once in a while when I'm visiting my parents. It's always been a little chaotic but that's never a bad thing if it's well-managed chaos, right? The last trip, however, warranted a review. I brought a friend up from Philly. We both ordered veggie breakfast sandwiches--supposed to be eggs, cheese, tomato, spinach, and mushrooms on a biscuit. (I've had it before. SO good.) However, they were out of biscuits and offered to put our sandwiches on regular bread. It was just alright. We both felt like we should have been discounted, especially since the regular bread was cut into a small circle in roughly the size of the biscuit. A pretty small and unremarkable sandwich for the price. And, when we got them, both sandwiches were cold. My friend also tried to order a "fall spice" latte, but the syrup ran out as well. Service has seemed to slip quite a bit, and though the quality of the food and drinks were good, it was an overall disappointing experience for the price. read more

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit and a dark coffee. Coffee was OK and was a far from a dark roast. Being next to starbucks it needs to be better. The sandwich was plentiful and a fair price but too much salt (why add a ton of salt?)and the biscuit was toasted (why toast a biscuit?)which I preferred not. Use to a good southern biscuit. Nice ambiance and good service. Hopefully, this place improves as it has potential. read more

Lightning fast, inviting and friendly service. Great atmosphere, cozy and airy at the same time. There's even an outdoor plank bar table that someone was studying at on a 55 degree day! I was in today for brunch with a colleague and friend to work on planning an upcoming event. The Pretty Bird menu has gotten bigger, and there are very creative items, since my last visit. It's a lot of information to try and read in line. It would be helpful if it were​ posted on the website for easy viewing. The restaurant was busy, like any good place that serves breakfast on a Sunday. Plenty of safe off-road​ parking nearby. The line was moving pretty quickly. A very cheerful female took our order, and they filled it in about 5 minutes for the fresh-brewed​ green tea and about 10 for our food. The green tea was robust served in a nice mug piping hot, and we used honey to sweeten​ it that tasted fresh and local. I enjoyed their fresh Tuna Melt on Brioche, Albacore Tuna, Granny Smith Apples, Relish, Mayo, Mustard, ​and Monterey​ Jack melted bubbly​ and had It looked as good as it tasted. My friend had the Biscuit Smash Burger, a beef patty with a fried egg on a homemade cheddar biscuit. We were catching up and enjoyed some Honey Lavender Latte and a freshly made chocolate cake donut with vanilla glaze; it was delicious. The counter was dirty when we sat down, then wiped by an employee but not very good. The condiments bar was well stocked. The pepper shaker needs attention; it was dirty inside, and out, and the ground was too big for the size of the shaker holes, there was rust on the top. Quick review of the new shop: Pros: Delightful environment, well-staffed, and good coffee. The juice blends are delish, if a bit pricey for the size given. (I know, I know, fresh and healthy ingredients... I was just a bit surprised at the small juice size for the cost). Cons: Parking for most of the shops around there is a little rough, not a quick morning stop, but that's the area. Not a huge con. I was there on a Saturday morning and the line/wait for the coffee was considerable, even though we got a couple cold-brews (because we figured it'd be faster). Great start to a great new joint that we're happy giving money to instead of the Bux in town. Keep up the improvements in timing and keep competitive in cost and they'll be a long-term staple and town focus. (Later hours would be awesome too!) read more

I am trying to rationalize how a new coffee shop can be as pricey as they are without a proven product. The coffee is good but not outstanding, a couple times had grounds in the hot coffee. The sandwiches are not made to order, but priced as if they are at $5 for a biscuit. Their doughnuts are ok, the first time I got them. They were piping hot and fresh tasting, which made me rave about it. However, since then the treats are still tasty but not warm. A breakfast of a 12oz coffee, breakfast sandwich, and a doughnut will run you nearly $10. I support local and will continue to go here on occasion but once the trendy, newness runs out with Starbucks feet away one way and wawa and bagel train down the other, an adjustment of price or something needs to happen. I know that they will make the turn, as they did with the vault and will be there when they do. read more

Came in for an afternoon pick me up on my way out of town. This locally owned business is a must visit! From my understanding, it's relatively new. I saw signs for hot donuts until 2pm, but unfortunately I missed that window. The guy working at the counter was quick to explain any questions about the coffee and tea selections. It had such a small town feel, as in between customers, I saw one staff member stamping the to go cups with the store logo. So glad I was able to support this local business! read more

Their Coffee is like drinking Liquid Gold! I commonly frequent this coffee shop because there lattes are like liquid gold, they are just that good. I haven't tried much else on their menu because I am always craving their lattes. As for their food I have only tried a blueberry doughnut and yum. I mean who wouldn't love a freshly made doughnut. The only downside about the cafe is that sometimes they are a bit slow. Most times I go to get a latte I wait for about five minutes to get it but that's what you get when you want a quality drink. read more

I think that pretty Bird should stick with breakfast. Knowing very little about the restaurant we thought it interesting that it switches from a coffee shop to a SUSHI restaurant ! My wife and I ordered 5 signature rolls figuring that under normal circumstances we over ordered but wanted to pig out (almost $100). The rolls were small and fishy !! Pretty Bird is one of the few coffee places around that makes homemade flavored syrups, making their caramel macchiato, hot or iced, an absolute must. Their food offerings are unique takes on coffee house staples, like a blueberry sage brownie or a "Cruffin"(croissant and muffin combine into a wonderful cinnamon bun-like treat). They offer sandwiches and ice cream drinks, as well as breakfast biscuits and cups (a mix of eggs, meat, veggies, grits and cheese into, well, a cup). Everything Pretty Bird offers is well prepared and fresh.
