It was nice to finally be here. I've heard so much about a crepe lasagna so I came today to give it…read morea whirl . It really is sweet to step into this space and see all the old family photos that were enlarged. You're entering into a very special place. DeLorenzos is BELOVED. I've been to other locations. But this one had a very special lasagna and I wanted to try it . ( the new menu doesn't include it now ... so we shall try something new !) All the staff welcome us so warmly . I really liked their dapper work outfits, black and white, and with a bowtie! The camaraderie between the staff members was super delightful. There are oodles of them ! ANGIE was our server. She really took care of us . We got spaghetti Bolognese, beet salad, a side of meatballs and two iced teas. Everything was very flavorful and we enjoyed our food and drink.

We ordered (2) pizzas and they took a bit to come our since they had a rush as we got there but it wasn't too long. Their pizza is typical Trenton style, thin crispy crust, cheese on the bottom with dollops of sauce on top. I've lived in PA since I was 7 but prior we lived near Washington's Crossing on the NJ side an most of our family is from Hamilton. Every time I get a chance to have some Trenton Tomato pie it brings back memories grabbing some with my grandparents off of Klockner Road. I definitely put this location towards the top of my list but PaPa's is still #1.

I'm a strange dude, I'll be the first to admit to that. I've never been one to like anything that…read moredraws attention from the masses. I never watched Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones because every last loser on earth was all about it. The Beatles fucking suck and Bruce Springsteen can go shit in his hat. Pumpkin spice is for pumpkin pie and that's it, no matter what these dizzy suburban women say. So the decision to visit Johnny Longhots today was based entirely on poor reviews. The guy who ordered a sandwich to the hospital and found a cheesesteak to be "greasy" deserves to contract MRSA during his stay. The dope who complained his fries were soggy ordered his shit off Door Dash. He's lucky the driver didn't eat all of his fries. The folks who called out the teenagers who are getting their first experience working can all get bent. You weren't perfect when you had your first job. Don't forget people like you willingly locked kids in their homes during covid. It's no wonder some of them struggle with social skills and working under pressure. Have a little grace, then eat a bag of dicks for not being patient to them. Don't get me started on that dipshit from Brooklyn. That person who rated the place a one for the soda? I already know who you vote for. Onto the food - the menu is huge. There are a ton of choices with something for just about everyone. There's even gluten free options for those fucking people. There were four or five sandwiches in the running, but it was the Gritty Cheesesteak that ultimately won out on my first visit. And that's a strange decision for me because the Flyers stink and their fans are even worse. They're the worst organization in hockey. Maybe I just wanted fries on my sandwich. Yea - that's it. So the Gritty is a good amount of beef, fries tossed in Old Bay and topped with white cheddar cheese sauce atop a seeded roll. I added fried onions. The sandwich scores higher than the Flyers. I was a fan of the seeded roll which was super fresh. The cheese sauce was tasty and complemented the fries really well. They were super crispy, well seasoned and plentiful. The beef wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was tender and cooked well. All-in-all a good sandwich. The gals up front were attentive and friendly. They took my order quickly. Hats off to the kitchen for getting my food out promptly among the online orders. The place was pretty clean and had a ton of Philly Sports pics on the wall. The music on the radio was some throwback stuff - thank God it wasn't any of that mumble rap shit most kids play these days. Johnny's has a bunch of lunch specials that look worthwhile and a decent value. Locally owned spot worth giving your business to. It's a 4-star review from me that gets bumped to a 5 to spite the mopes who gave it a one.
