Ewing Bagel Shop has become much more than a breakfast stop for my fiancée and I. Every Sunday after church, we come here with our kids to grab breakfast and reflect on the sermon we just heard. It has become such an ingrained part of our routine and family life that the day genuinely doesn't feel the same when we can't make it there. What brings us back every week is the incredible staff, led by Abraham and Jimmy. Their experience, leadership, and genuine care for the community are obvious in every interaction. The consistency of the service is outstanding, the staff is always welcoming and attentive, and the food hits every single time. Places like this are *rare*. Great food is one thing, but creating an environment that becomes part of people's lives and memories is something special. I like this new bagel shop. I believe it's up and coming. I purchased a half dozen ($8.96 cash). Overall, I was generally impressed. The bagels are fleshy with seeds (per the style) on both sides of the bagels. The bagels are soft and have a good chew to them. The exterior could be a bit more crispy for my taste. Think a hard shell juxtaposed to a soft interior so it doesn't compress when you bite in. The selection is not vast, but definitely adequate. The location is of modest size and maybe best suited for order and go. And that's fine too! I didn't see any artisanal options that you might find in other places. The jalapeño bagel should have noticeable pieces of jalapeño. Theirs was just tinted green as if a purée was used instead of real slices. Again, none of this is bad. I see some room for evolution and fine tuning of the operation. And I'm a cash spender, so the company should have coin change for folks like me. In conclusion, a very good operation and I recommend giving them your patronage. In time, they might give Udo's Bagels a run for their money! read more

We had a bagel near our new home in NJ and were disappointed but then we tried this place and were impressed - delicious soft bagels with just the right amount of chew to softness, and they gave us less cream cheese, which we requested. Definitely worth many return visits! read more

Ewing Bagel Shop replaces the former All Star Bagels. It looks the same, but for the signage. It is oriented toward the local community and nearby Trenton State College students (discounts with student I.D.), but welcomes everyone. Service is young and courteous. The bagels are actually a bit better than the former, with my preferred outer crispness and chewier texture within and less sweet dough than before. However, they might consider a heavier layer of toasted onion flakes than found on my Onion Bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese, which would have been even better with heavier application. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed my morning bagel and will return as time and circumstance permit. EBS gives my favorite local bagelnosherie (Bagel Train in Yardley) a run for its money, and is less expensive. 5 Bagel Stars for these young entrepreneurs! read more

Best bagels in Mercer. Sweet and savory options and the most amazing fresh squeezed orange juice. They have a delicious menu with a wide variety of offerings for breakfast/lunch. My favorite part about this place is that they seem to have the weirdest playlist.. there's something magical about stopping for a bagel at 8 AM and Lil Jon's greatest hits blasting through the speakers. If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited 25-30 minutes for two bacon egg and cheese on egg bagels. Finally approached the cashier to question where my food was, they picked it up cold out of the window. It had been sitting the whole time. Then I get home and open my sandwiches and the amount of bacon on them is actually laughable. (Image attached) this place is terrible. Would never recommend to anyone. How they have a decent rating is beyond me. 0/10 stars. Terrible bagels for Jersey standards. Also owner is response to comments is unprofessional and shows how they care for customers.
