Bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel
    Amity W.

The best bagels around the area. I've tried Udo's Bagels and Caesar's Bagels & Deli bagels which are the other places people claim are the best but they're either too dense or doughy but the bagels from bagel train are the perfect mix of fluffy interior and slightly crunchy exterior. They have a large variety of bagels, cream cheese, and sandwich combinations! Staff are very nice and patient considering the amount of people they see each morning and the amount of bagels they have to make. I usually order a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. I like the ratio of eggs, cheese, and bacon to bagel. I've also tried plain, sesame, poppy, egg, chocolate chip, and French toast. All are good! If you want certain flavors on the weekend try to go earlier rather than later because sometimes they sell out.

Coffee area, didn't order so can't comment on this.

In short: best bagels I've ever had in the commonwealth of PA, and surely some of the best in the Delaware Valley! They've nailed the consistency: the boil gives them a chewy outside and a soft inside that you simply don't find in South Jersey and PA. These bagels are legit, the "real deal," whatever Guy Fieri-esque superlative you want to employ, it's appropriate here! Unfortunately, their schmear was lacking: the amount of cream cheese left A LOT to be desired (literally). The prices also aren't cheap at $3.29 & up for a simple untoasted bagel and schmear. Additionally, they have nickel and dime 20 cent up-charges for egg everything bagels, whole grain bagels, and maybe a few other varieties that really aren't exotic. The cash only policy is also a pain in the ass. Fortunately boo had $6 worth of quarters and a dolla dolla bill, which just barely covered for $6.97 that 1 egg and 1 everything (each with cream cheese) cost. They do sell some bottle drinks, coffee, paninis, and maybe some boars head cold cuts and cheese too. There was a line out the door as we left, at noon on a Tuesday. That usually means something. If you close your eyes and open up your cash-containing wallet, you'll be fooled into thinking you're in the hallowed bagel environs of metro NYC, for good and bad. Except for the lack of a good schmear.

Absolute best bagels in the area. Perfect consistency for a bagel and nicely sized. As good as any bagel I've had anywhere. We usually get them by the dozen, but their breakfast sandwiches are also stellar. Nice staff, quick service. A Yardley institution!

Fantastic fresh bagels. Yardley staple. Had them growing up never disappointed. Sandwiches are freshly prepared in the back on grill.

These bagels are out of this world. I always get them when family is coming into town. They're so soft and the right amount of chewy.

The bagel was dense and fresh, but it was greasy on the outside. The hot sausage was ok, plenty of egg and cheese made it a sizeable overflowing portion. I just wish it wasn't so greasy. Second trip was a jalapeno and cheddar bagel with jalapeno and cheddar cream cheese. Again the bagel was greasy on the outside. Dense and fresh. The cream cheese and bagel both had little to no spicy kick. I wasn't blown away by either offering honestly. I had their "High Mountain" coffee on both visits (Hazelnut blend on one visit). It was standard java nothing bad, nothing great. The inside is a bit dated, but still inviting. There were plenty of people coming in and out so it seems like a neighborhood staple. Staff was friendly and prompt with service. The bathroom was clean. Bagels are OK to Good for my liking, they get four stars for having a good eating area, nice staff and a clean bathroom. Prices seem to be about average with most local mom and pop places.

Gender Reveal Ruined-- Followed By The Worst Customer Service I've Ever Experienced…read more I have never written a negative review in my life, but this experience was so upsetting and handled so poorly that I feel obligated to share it. I ordered a gender reveal cake and was extremely clear from the very beginning that this was for a gender reveal and that I needed blue on the inside and white on the outside. When I placed the order, I gave very specific directions: white on the outside, blue on the inside. I even provided a photo of exactly what I wanted. Later that same day, I called back to confirm again: white on the outside, blue on the inside. Then when I picked the cake up, I had a third confirmation point. They read the instructions back to me and again confirmed it was supposed to be white on the outside and blue on the inside. I even verbally confirmed one more time before leaving the store. So there were three separate touch points of communication confirming the exact same thing. This cake was for my first baby's gender reveal. This was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for my husband and our family. I spent time planning this, buying flowers, an outfit, and setting up something incredibly special for us. When we cut the cake during the reveal -- while filming -- the inside was completely white. No blue. Nothing. The entire moment was ruined. My husband found out we were having a boy in the most anticlimactic, confusing way possible. It was heartbreaking and honestly humiliating to have planned something so meaningful only for it to completely fall apart because of a mistake that was confirmed THREE separate times. What made this exponentially worse was the customer service afterward. When I called the next morning, I was met with rudeness and condescension. Later, when someone finally called me back, I was literally asked if I was "sure" there wasn't blue inside -- as if I didn't just cut into and dig through my own cake. I had to prove their mistake by sending photos. During that same call, I explained how rude the first person I spoke to had been. The response I got was essentially, "Yeah... she really shouldn't be answering the phone" and that she's not very good at customer service. That honestly left me speechless. If someone is not good at customer service, why are they the person answering customer calls? Especially when those calls are about major life events and serious issues? It was one of the strangest, most unprofessional interactions I have ever had with a business in my life. At no point initially did anyone apologize. I had to be visibly upset and crying before anyone even attempted to say sorry. Even the owner never called me directly -- he texted asking me to call him about a refund. When I did call, there was still no real apology, just discussion about money. Let me be very clear: This was never about the $50. This was about ruining one of the most meaningful milestones of my life and then treating me like I was an inconvenience when I called about it. People make mistakes. I understand that. But how you handle the mistake is what defines your business -- and this was handled terribly from start to finish. I have never been treated so badly by so many people from one business, especially over something tied to a major life event. I will never use this bakery again, and I will absolutely be sharing this experience with others so they can make an informed decision. If you are trusting them with an important life event, I strongly suggest reconsidering.

Also loved the smash burger -- delicious and no pretentious frills -- but the fries were the standout; homemade, hearty and crispy. The pumpkin and pretzel casarecce pasta was very tasty as well, and the small-sized portion was plenty. Clearly the chef is talented and takes their work seriously. Given that they don't sell liquor & you can bring your own, the prices are fantastic. Cheapest dinner I've had since the early 2000s lol. They do have some N/A wines, beers and cocktails for those who don't care about booze. I could see this place being perfect for breakfast or lunch because it has beautiful views of the river. We came for dinner, and within 20-30 minutes, it was pitch black outside so we didn't get to enjoy the view. The lighting in the restaurant for dinner is too bright, which takes away from the atmosphere and makes it seem more like a takeout restaurant than upscale dining. Our server was great but the food took way too long to come out. It was about 30 minutes to get a salad. Not sure if they were short-staffed or that's just how it is but because the food was good enough, we will definitely come back to find out!
