We ordered our Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur !!! What a great dinner for both !!! Thanks and happy New Year!!!

Decent bagel and with wide variety of bagel, cream cheese, sandwich and wrap options. The scallion cream cheese was really good. The workers were nice. The prices are slightly on the higher end but reasonable. It's a small store and its near a busy intersection. It is also near Tyler State Park which was a plus for us. read more

Good service but awful sandwich! Something tasted very off on the sandwich. Either the lettuce or the avocado was very sour and dirty tasting. I hope I don't get food poisoning! read more

I don't often buy breakfast sandwiches but I enjoy Newtown Bagel. The only negative in my experience is the wait time. Otherwise Newtown Bagel is a solid 4 Stars! read more

Got my order completely wrong. Lox and everything bagel became poppy seed and cream cheese. Not sure that could be worse paying 12$ for 3$. read more

love this place, amazing bagels and they always add extra !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These people know what they are doing. Quick delish breakfast, lox and bagel done to perfection.

Cute local place. Staff is very friendly and they do a lot of takeout business. Only 4 tables and 10 chairs total. I had an omelette and coffee for $11. Included hash brown and toast. Food was passable. read more

This is a great little bagel place. The food and service are both top notch. I cannot wait to go back.

New management was a change for the better. Fresh bagels and nice size. Delicious breakfast sandwiches. Our go to place for bagels. Also allow pickup options to skip the long lines. read more

Last two times to Newtown bagel for breakfast and their sandwiches have nothing on them. Full bagel sandwich - with one egg, two pieces of bacon and a slice of cheese. Not sure what's going on but we are done with Newtown bagel. I'd like a breakfast when I order breakfast. read more

Bagels were brought in by one of our wonderful patient. I had a plain bagel with cream cheese. The bagel had a chewy and doughy interior. The outer bagel was perfectly browned without being burnt. The cream cheese was light and airy. I cannot comment on the service but the bagels are delicious! read more

It's about time to bestow the fifth star to Newtown Bagel. It is awarded for consistency of effort, sincere and friendly service, long term partnership with the community and excellence in breakfast sandwiches. Their success is shown by the opening of a second shop, Yardley Bagel Co. in Lower Makefield, which produces the same quality baked rounders as Newtown, in a more expansive and comfortable space. Can a third be far behind? While I still have a small issue with the texture of the bagel skin which is softer (less crisp) than I prefer, I can't deny that the pliable nature when fresh from the oven creates a perfect platform for a hot steaming sandwich. My just eaten sausage, egg & cheese on untoasted onion bagel was wonderfully delicious from first bite through last. The chew blended ingredients well and gave full voice to the harmonics exploding in my mouth. Alas, my tastes have matured to appreciate the pleasure of the different texture. There is a place in life for more than one variety of bagel. Bagel Wisdom attained by hard experience and exhaustive bagel research cannot be denied. read more

First time there. Bagel itself was good however portion was very small. I ate it in 2 seconds and was still hungry. Not much in there.. very unfortunate I wanted to like the place! read more

Verry good bagels and friendly service. They were out of Dark roast coffee and the team member came right over and switched the coffee and said it be ready in a minute. The bagels are soft and tast. Could use a little more egg on the sandwich for the coat. Overall a really good place for a sandwich. read more

Small shop. Chewy bagels, and the cream cheese tasted a little off. Staff was very slow, nothing really to write home about. Not very authentic style bagels. read more

Good sandwiches and friendly staff. They really need a 2nd register as the line backs up quickly. Or at least a take out only line.

Bagels here are "good enough", and I certainly don't know of anything better in Newtown. Their staff has improved a lot in the past few years. There used to be a cashier who was hopeless at taking orders (although very nice) and it would always be a big ordeal to order and the lines would invariably back up as she got everything wrong and people had to re-explain what they wanted. People there now are significantly more competent. I can order a "lox sandwich on a scooped toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese" and they GET IT (and then even ask me if I want the capers and onions!). I wish they had a better waiting area, as it always seems awkward to wait for your to-go bagels. If there are no available seats right by the waiting area (and those 2 seats are way too close together) you're either standing right by the door as people come in and out or taking up a 4-top seating area. But I understand the positioning of their space is a bit weird. You can get your bagels "scooped" which saves you 75 calories (I'll attach a picture) and for me, doesn't change anything about the best parts of the bagel. The bagels are OK. I think if they were a little crunchier on the outside they would be sublime. But Newtown Bagel doesn't have any real need to improve as there's no major competition in Newtown. The veggie cream cheese is also just OK. It's nothing like the Bagel Barrel in Doylestown, but it's good enough - just like Newtown Bagels overall. read more

At Newtown Bagel this morning, they lost my ticket and it took me quite a while to get out of there with my food. So why 5 stars? Because they remedied the situation immediately. Plus they were slammed with a lot of customers and help is hard to find these days. Also, I joked that I would trash them on Yelp for losing my order. These folks are solid. read more

I am from Wisconsin and visited Newtown Bagel. I loved the atmosphere and the workers! Everyone was soooo nice!! The choices of bagels was phenomenal and really shocked me. I asked about their fresh bread that was out and was politely told it was an accident and should not have been placed out on the counter. No, problem, I understood. Then, a few minutes later, a very nice Gentleman handed me the loaf of bread and said I could have it. I was absolutely SHOCKED!!!! It was so very nice of him to do that, because obviously, he did not have too. Not only is there food great but so are the people in charge and all the employees. They put a smile on my face and made my first trip to Pennsylvania one to talk about! Thank you, Newtown Bagel, for being so nice to me. Five stars because they deserve it and if they had 10 stars, I'd give them that! read more

3/21/21 order #154: poor quality, poor process, weak management.  Let's remember, you're making a bagel sandwich and not a full course dinner.  It shouldn't take 30 minutes to make 1 sandwich.  Make the sandwiches in order you get order a.k.a. FIFO. After 10 years - I'm done. read more

I was doing business in the area & I wanted a bagel & lox with just a bit of onion. The young man behind the counter was very friendly, knowledgeable & loved talking about the bagel practice. The bagels are good but they are only baked here. They arrive as pre rolled dough & only certain varieties are pre boiled or steamed. I found that to be a bit disappointing since a true bagel should be hand rolled, boiled & then baked. This gives them the shiny, chewy crust & the fluffy inside. That said, it's not a deal breaker. They certainly had several varieties of bagels & spreads. My sandwich was a bit skimpy with the cream cheese & lox; albeit the red onion I had on it was super fresh & had a good bite! Check out their menu, there seems to a good selection of menu items for your breakfast or lunch. read more

I love small family owned bagel shops. The workers were very nice. They greeted everyone who comes in, and remembers their regulars well. As far as the bagels, they were delicious. I love an everything bagel, and theirs are hands down one of the best ones I have had. I also had an jalapeño Bagel with cc, and it wasn't spicy, but definitely had a lot of flavor. it's really hard to find a great bagel place in the area that you can just pick up a dozen bagels and cream cheese for some friends after a long night out but newtown bagel is it! picked up a dozen bagels, so many different kinds which was awesome and also so many different kinds of cream cheese! i personally love their garlic & herb cream cheese, scallion is also delicious. this place is always poppin when i come in so if you have a big order, might be worth it to call ahead. read more

Bagels were great. Big hit with our brunch guests. Long wait on a Sunday morning but well organized. Will definitely return!

Small little Bagel Shop tucked away in small strip center. Very busy place bagels very tasty seems as much as they are the staff is a bit slow and why they have the slowest person at the register either needs a point of sale machine that is easier or a more experience cashier. If you have somewhere to be like your job steer clear of this place. I have never been to a place that it takes over 20 mins for a bagel. Take the ride to Redhouse bagels in Holland! probably the worst bagel place in Pennsylvania. Their bagels are small when you can even get them because majority of the time they're out of the one you want and aren't willing to make more. Secondly, all the food is processed. Thirdly, the atmosphere is boring there is no excitement at all just a bunch of grumpy morning people wanting to get some average food, and that's exactly what it is. The coffee taste like shit. There is no set uniform. Everyone of their coworkers are wearing something different. Also, their hygiene is not up to par. I've ordered multiple times and never received the correct order. While waiting for my food I seen , the grill guy picking his nose and then wrap the sandwich. I was so disgusted that I left the store even after paying. Why waste your time on disgusting food when you can go to McDonald's buy a steak, egg and cheese bagel and be more satisfied for your money. Which reminds me the creamer for the coffee was room temperature and started to chunk up. eww gross... I would rather lick my dollar bills, then to ever eat any of their food. I will tell not only my family and friends, but the whole nation about the horrible establishment they consider a good business. instead of fixing the problem, they make up excuses and that's why I don't see a prosperous future for Newtown bagel. They're better off bringing back Manhattan bagel, or for that matter not making it a bagel place at all. If you have any brains and you enjoy food made correctly please go anywhere else, because if you say anything they will blame the customer . read more
