Plenty of parking out front in the early AM. There were lines on both of my visits so they can get busy. On my first trip I had a hot sausage, egg and cheese on a pumpernickel bagel. The bagel was dense and fresh, but it was greasy on the outside. The hot sausage was ok, plenty of egg and cheese made it a sizeable overflowing portion. I just wish it wasn't so greasy. Second trip was a jalapeno and cheddar bagel with jalapeno and cheddar cream cheese. Again the bagel was greasy on the outside. Dense and fresh. The cream cheese and bagel both had little to no spicy kick. I wasn't blown away by either offering honestly. I had their "High Mountain" coffee on both visits (Hazelnut blend on one visit). It was standard java nothing bad, nothing great. The inside is a bit dated, but still inviting. There were plenty of people coming in and out so it seems like a neighborhood staple. Staff was friendly and prompt with service. The bathroom was clean. Bagels are OK to Good for my liking, they get four stars for having a good eating area, nice staff and a clean bathroom. Prices seem to be about average with most local mom and pop places. read more

RJ's bagels are really delicious! I had the opportunity to first try them - because my parents bring some home after church on Sundays. (RJ's donates - which is very kind of them! ) I have to say, they're some of the best bagels I've had. The texture is just right, and the flavors are done nicely. I was dying to get a good bagel to soak up last night's tequila and saw that RJ's was right by me so I decided to give them a shot. I came here in my comfiest pajamas and got two everything bagels. I had to wait an eternity to get them made (about 30 minutes) despite only having about three people in front of me. I was surprised because this has never been the case at any bagel shop I have been too, no matter how busy they have been. But I was happy to finally get home and take a big bite of my bagel when I opened it up and saw it wasn't toasted (as I asked) and it barely had any meat inside. For over $6 a bagel, I was highly disappointed. The bagel itself was just okay, and sadly I don't know if this was a mistake or all their bagels are like this. I guess, I shall see if I give them another opportunity in the future. read more

First off I absolutely love RJ's bagels and breakfast sandwiches! Also the delivery through DoorDash has been fast and food arrives hot. The only problem we have is that something is always missing. We always order two egg sandwiches on bagels, and a bagel box, which is a dozen bagels and two tubs of cream cheese. The 4 times we ordered only once was our order correct. One time we got the sandwiches and no bagels. We called and the driver went back and returned with the bagel box. One time there were bagels missing, and just recently we got the sandwiches, the dozen bagels, but no cream cheese. She RJ's got our order correct 25% of the times that we ordered. I love the bagels and sandwiches and want badly to give a 5 star rating, but we always have to call and get missing items replaced or ask for a refund for missing items. I love their bagels. They are a traditional true Jewish style bagel vs what many other local places call a bagel. I paid $5.50 for 6 bagels which feels fair. They poppy seed and sesame are always covered in seeds instead of a spotty sprinkling. They are also very considerate about bagging onion and garlic bagels separately which is nice. I never have eaten in but it's kind of drab inside. I do not like how they price their cream cheese spreads. They have sticker on them that says $4.00 1/2 pound but that's not the actual price. They weigh it and then apply the price. Weigh the cream cheese. Let me know which are an actual 1/2 pound, and which are smaller or larger. read more

I had a jalapeño bagel with jalapeño and cheddar cheese cream cheese and it was absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend RJ Bagel to anyone who likes bagels and also who prefers a little spice with their bagels. Also, their plain, blueberry, cinnamon raisin, wheat, multigrain bagels (etc.) are great. Not sure the last time RJ's boiled and baked the bagels in the bins, but as I am eating one less than 30 minutes after purchase @ 1:00 pm on a Sunday, it is already approaching staleness. Too flat upon observation; a tough slice with a sharp serrated knife; tough crust with no crispness; and too dense at its heart. Very ordinary. Bagel Train is far superior to my taste. read more

Went there at 9:00 am on a Saturday, ordered pork roll and egg on a plain bagel. The bagel itself was a tad stale on the outside and the egg is not egg, but a liquid substitute. This is the only bagel place I've been to that uses egg substitute. The lack of a real egg made the sandwich only subpar. Tried out this little bagel shop because it's close to where I work. I went around lunch time, just before noon and there was a decent crowd sitting inside. It's really convenient to be able to sit down at bagel places because usually they are take-out only. I noticed the long list of breakfast sandwiches and lunch options on the wall, along with the regular bagels and homemade spreads. They serve fries, sandwiches, and drinks if you want something different. I went with the tomato basil bagel because I prefer savory options to sweet. The bagel alone was very flavorful and I enjoyed it's smaller size because it wasn't too overwhelming. I paired it with the jalapeño cheddar cream cheese - you don't see that flavor everywhere! It wasn't too spicy like I imagined it to be and it went well with my choice of bagel. They had other unique cream cheeses such as garlic and herb, which I will probably try next time. This place makes great breakfast sandwiches. We order from them regularly. For whatever reason whenever I pick up my order it keeps getting "lost" and they start making it when I come in - 20 minutes after my order was placed. The employees look disgruntled. Today was yet another time this happened so when asked if I wanted to speak to the owner, I said yes. The owner was unapologetic and said something along the lines of "I can't help you keep winning the wrong lottery ticket." I thought that was pretty unprofessional manner and also to do in front of his customers and people. I told him he no longer has my business and left. It's a real shame such a nice neighborhood place let the stress get to them and not put their customers first. read more

Our first time here, and we took a dozen bagels to go with a donut and muffin. My family and I are loving these bagels. Just the right hardness on the outside, chewy on the inside. The garlic and black Russians are the ones I've tried so far, and I'd order again. Maybe next weekend we should try the sandwiches. Stopped in Sunday morning for a bagel and coffee. Tried the Cranberry Oat Bagel with a side of cinnamon apple cream cheese spread. The bagel was nice and dense and chewy. My style of attacking a bagel is to break it apart like a dinner roll and dab a little bit of spread on each bite. I liked the spread - it had just a touch of sweetness. Perfect. Went into RJ's today at 12:15 I was so in the mood for bagels with garlic and herb cream cheese. Was told they were out of bagels. This is a bagel shop correct. I then asked for a belly buster I was then told the grill had been shut down. This is a business that serves food correct. To the owner your paying employees but I'm wondering for what you don't serve food and you own an establishment that has the word bagels in it but none to be found. Maybe you should make enough food to last the length of your business hours. If that's to much then just open for an hour or 2.
