All we could hear were screams of excitement when we surprised the bday party with this custom cake. Tasted great, perfect design, and great advice on sizing for the occasion. Customer service is always wonderful at Cramer. It was the best part of the night.

Give the place a try if you haven't been there before.

Nice local bakery that I found while my daughter was in town shopping for a prom dress. Large selection of made on location pastries. I'm a big fan of local bakeries, and I don't live close, so we got some stuff to take home. Crumble Cake. Nice flavor, pleanty amout of crumble, just a bit dry, but not a deal breaker. I would buy it again. 4 stars. Blueberry Breakfast Cake. I liked it but I didn't love it. To me, the blueberries tasted like they came out of a can, and I didn't expect that. The cake was moist, but for me, it was a little too sweet. I wouldn't buy it again but that's my taste. Give it a try and make your own decision. 2.5 stars. Cannoli Cupcake. Not one of those huge cupcakes that you can't fit into your mouth, and you need a fork and knife. Tasty with a little Cannoli on top. 3 stars. Creme Brulee with chocolate mousse topping. Good to the last spoonful! I usually only order C.B. in restaurants, so it comes out warm. This looked so good. I had to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. 4.5 stars.

My sampler. L to R Chocolate chip cookies, high hats, cupcakes/cannoli's, petit fours and a slice of crumb cake.

Stopped in here after some nearby fishing on a Sunday morning. There were quite a few customers inside that seemed like regulars picking up party cakes and fresh donuts/scones. The staff was nice and answered all of my questions. The girl who helped me out gave me a little tour of their their bakery items, but then pointed out "what their known for" which were high hats and petit fours. So, I purchased several items including: petit fours, high hats, crumb cake slice, cannoli's, chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes. I spent $59 and change. I brought it to a friends house and we tried a little bit of everything. The cannoli wasn't bad/average. The high hats were fresh and very tasty. My friends loved the petit fours, the chocolate chip cookies were fresh and average. I really enjoyed the crumb cake, it had a very nice cinnamon bite to it. The kids ate the cupcakes and of course there were no complaints. Everything was fresh, the place looked clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would repeat and buy the full sized round crumb cake next go around. My friend would go out of his way for their high hats and petit fours.

Cramer's baked a sheet cake for me for a baby shower. It looked great and tasted wonderful. All the guests loved it. The shower was held at a restaurant. The restaurant owners see a lot of cakes but were so impressed that they asked the name of the bakery. Thank you Cramers!

It is a mini shop and can't offer the variety of the main store, but has enough onboard to keep things interesting. I was there this morning to pick up a light breakfast to consume at my Trenton office. Timing was perfect, as I walked in as the counter woman was carrying out a large open box of still warm rolls both sesame seeded and plain. Was a time I would devour these babies right out of the bag, because they were so perfectly textured and sour dough delicious. Recalling those grand old days, I ordered two seeded rolls with just a smear of cool butter, and a couple of brownies to share at work. Along with their better than decent Java, I contentedly bite into the first roll. The crisp shell gave way to the soft belly, with the butter adding a touch of flavor that mixed perfectly with the bread. An involuntary sigh escaped my lips. It was that eye-rollingly great. The brownie an hour later was dense with cake chocolate. Also, superb, and made my assistant very happy. This shop also makes sandwiches, but with a much shorter menu than Butler Street. If as good as the mothership, I am amazed that they haven't expanded to have room for the anticipated customer surge.

I went in this morning to check it out, and watch them make the donuts. The operation is run by a single woman who takes orders, cashiers, and runs the equipment that spins out the cake base rings of dough, boxes them and finally customizes each individually wearing green plastic gloves. A few dozen choices on their menu, but they are all about SWEETNESS, so to my tastebuds they all taste similarly with only small variations based more on the textures added (ie., Oreo cookie crumbled), than on taste - they are all excessively sugary. So, I ordered a peanut butter something, Oreo something else, strawberry dipped yabba and coffee cake dabba. I watched as she removed them from the deep fry machine and placed them in a box. I saw her customize the base one by one at the fixings table with a squirt here and a sprinkle there and a shake on the next. A messy process that left the accumulated accessorizers stuck to the bottom of the cardboard container. But, I was here to sample the donuts; not to overly criticize how they were made. On that scale I can report that the cake base was very good as fresh bakery items generally are. Soft, non-oily, pleasant vanilla flavored cake. The visual of colorful frosting was attractive and designed to play your imagination. Uber sweet regardless of custom finish, I enjoyed the plain donut foundation more than the slick and sticky icings. At $2.50 per, they are more expensive than chicken wings, with far less nourishment. Accept Duck Donuts for what it is - a sweet entertaining distraction. Maybe that's all Duck Donuts needs to be. 5 Novelty Stars.
