I have been looking to try a new bagel place in the area and since I've already tried the other Doylestown establishment I figured I'd give Borough Bagels a go. They're not "in town" they're just outside closer to all the shopping centers. I tried ordering online but when I went to what appeared to be their website I got a notice that the website wasn't real and they were trying to impersonate the company and steal my info. Not sure if they have a website or not then or if it's just not secure. They also appeared to have kiosks in store but they were closed. They don't have a large variety of bagels, it's actually pretty minimal. You have to order them all at the counter. They had a paper menu printed too but there were no prices listed anywhere that I could find. I wanted a sandwich because my favorite bagel place in Warrington has amazing bagels but the contents of their sandwiches are lacking. I ordered a bacon egg and cheddar cheese on an everything. The quality of the egg and bacon was super good - fresh and tasty. However the bagel was a little lacking. I did order loose bagels too and had the same bagel toasted at home and it was delicious ! I'm thinking they didn't toast my sandwich which left the bagel a bit chewier. The flavor overall was great. I also picked up their cream cheeses and I loved the Jalapeño one ! Each 1/2 tub of cream cheese was 4.99, a half dozen bagels was 10.16 but you get 7! The sandwiches were 7.99 for sausage and 8.49 for bacon. Not a bad price overall. I'll probably be back in the future, I'd love to see more flavors - they don't even have a chocolate chip which is my fave!

Very disappointed in the direction borough bagels is going. I don't think we will be ordering from them anymore. Their portions for the prices are outrageous. 75 cents extra for tomatoes and 75 cents extra for onion and they give you a sliver of each. What a rip off. I notice that the owners don't seem to care about help reviews because they don't reply to anyone. Sad.

Over $10 for a BLT and this is what it looked like. I didn't get the chips or the pickle that was supposed to come with it either. Super disappointing.

Every now and then I visit Doylestown and look forward to the mornings I can feel the euphoria of a French toast bagel from Borough Bagels. Coming from NYC to PA for a French toast bagel might sound crazy, but this breakfast sandwich is worth it. A perfect distribution of salt and cinnamon; the flavor profile between sweet and savory comes together for a beautiful umami marriage. 10/10 recommend for an adventurous eat or a hangover cure!

Excellent bagel joint in Doylestown Borough. Small customer area, with room in back for ovens, preparation, storage and display case. The rounders have a crisp biting crust, while the inside has enough air pockets to keep it fairly light enough to allow the flavor of the topping (roast onion flakes) or whatever is added in the prep(butter & Swiss) to come through strongly. I appreciate the bagel baker who knows not to knead the dough too long, which hardens the bread and makes it too dense. Too, here they are boiled and then baked in the right proportion to create the optimal bagel. Having La Colombe and Ellis Coffee in house is also a big plus, as they are both top shelf Philadelphia roasters that have found success nationally and internationally. These Borough guys are not fooling around. They give their customers quality bagels and first class java for a fair price. It wouldn't surprise me if their success was assured and they grew their enterprise as far as they wanted to take it.

The bagels were good, fairly dense, chewy with that bagel tang, but no more. Now they're fluffy like rolls. I'll try elsewhere.

I happened to stumble upon Bagel Barn while heading to a doctor's appointment, and I'm glad I did--I found the needle. This place is 100% legit. These bagels have exactly what I look for: that deep, dark-baked color and a distinct crust on the outside, opening up to that perfect, characteristic chew that only a real NY-style bagel possesses. The Standouts: The Everything Bagel: A classic that does not disappoint. The Everything Asiago: Stop the presses! This is a hidden gem and a total must-try. The Cold Brew: I won't even ask how they make it; something that good just deserves to be paired with an amazing bagel. The "Purist" Test: On my first visit, they asked if I wanted my bagel toasted. As a purist, if the bagels are being made fresh, I don't want them toasted unless I'm eating them days later at home. The fact that this bagel held up perfectly without being toasted proved to me that this is, hands down, the best place to buy bagels in the area. The Service: The cherry on top is the ownership and the staff. I've been in three times now, and the team is consistently warm, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you, Bagel Barn, for bringing a real piece of home to PA!

If you're not a "regular" which it seemed half the people were and half weren't - it's not clear where to go in here for online orders. So I went right up to the line. The workers were super helpful and friendly and there were a lot of them. After checking in and moving to the side I saw they had a spot for online orders to the side. Again not super noticeable but some regulars were directing people. I ordered online and I really liked the options they had. I got an omelette - the radiator and made it a sandwich. This particular your sandwich they recommended as a sandwich so they had the option to make it that. I added bacon and had it on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. The bagel was like super soft - it definitely was not a normal bagel texture. It felt more like eating a sweet roll as it was sweet too. I liked they they had a lot of flavor options but there was no like crispness to the bagel it was just like soft and chewy which was unusual. Ordered another omelette for my fiancé - the regular. Did it with sausage. Didn't seem to be a lot of meat in it. I would have loved this on a sandwich but it's not an option for that for some reason so the bagel was on the side and he just stacked it himself. They did serve fresh hot coffee - would have loved more coffee options. I'll have to give it another go because I want to try some of the other flavors they have and see if I order plain bagels if it's more of a texture I'm used to. This place seems to be popping and I think the food was good but the bagel texture was just weird.

We went there this morning to pick up a raisin challah - we were making French Toast! The challah is excellent - rich, soft and sweet, it has a tender, delicious taste. The raisins added an extra touch of sweetness to the French Toast. Then there are the numerous pastries and cookies. We decided to get a few Hamentashen (chocolate and poppy), a raspberry croissant, a chocolate and a raspberry rugelach, and the most amazing looking Sticky Bun. I'll start with the Sticky Bun. It was exceptional; a soft, fluffy, and slightly chewy dough - challah like, but denser. It was laced with a sticky, caramelized glaze, studded with raisins and walnuts. It was 'melt in your mouth delicious', and a must try. Next up - the raspberry croissant. This is not your typical croissant - I'm used to the plain, or chocolate - I can't recall having a raspberry croissant before. It's one of the best I've had. It combines a flaky buttery croissant with a sweet, tart raspberry filling. The Hamentashen were good - the chocolate was better than the poppyseed - as the later needed much more Mohn (poppyseed paste). The rugelach was good; the raspberry was too sticky, but the chocolate was fine. If you're near Elkins Park, and you haven't tried Rolings Bakery, it's time you did!
