This is a hidden gem and a total must-try. ​The Cold Brew: I won't even ask how they make it; something that good just deserves to be paired with an amazing bagel. ​The "Purist" Test: On my first visit, they asked if I wanted my bagel toasted. As a purist, if the bagels are being made fresh, I don't want them toasted unless I'm eating them days later at home. Went here for the first time and placed an order pickup. There was a long wait but they let you know in advance and the timing was pretty accurate. If you're not a "regular" which it seemed half the people were and half weren't - it's not clear where to go in here for online orders. So I went right up to the line. The workers were super helpful and friendly and there were a lot of them. After checking in and moving to the side I saw they had a spot for online orders to the side. Again not super noticeable but some regulars were directing people. I ordered online and I really liked the options they had. I got an omelette - the radiator and made it a sandwich. This particular your sandwich they recommended as a sandwich so they had the option to make it that. I added bacon and had it on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. The bagel was like super soft - it definitely was not a normal bagel texture. It felt more like eating a sweet roll as it was sweet too. I liked they they had a lot of flavor options but there was no like crispness to the bagel it was just like soft and chewy which was unusual. Ordered another omelette for my fiancé - the regular. Did it with sausage. Didn't seem to be a lot of meat in it. I would have loved this on a sandwich but it's not an option for that for some reason so the bagel was on the side and he just stacked it himself. They did serve fresh hot coffee - would have loved more coffee options. I'll have to give it another go because I want to try some of the other flavors they have and see if I order plain bagels if it's more of a texture I'm used to. I've been going to restaurants for many years I'm a restauranteer stopped in to get a cup of coffee and a bagel I ordered an everything bagel with pumpkin cream cheese which was extra $2.50 just for the cream cheese it was a smear of cream cheese got the wrong bagel went to go get coffee they was no coffee there All the glass had to wait 15 minutes for someone to make coffee it was a Sunday morning there were a few people there they were all waiting patiently long time finally I got the wrong bagel a smear of pumpkin cream cheese I gave the girl a dollar tip cuz they throw that in with the payment as they stand there and watch you make sure you tip them for taking your order I guess it's the only place to go in chalfont for the locals May I suggest Wawa always fresh always good friendly staff and you don't have to tip them only if you want to read more

Surprised us in the best ways. Stopped for a quick lunch and was blown away at how fresh and delicious the bagels were--ordered whitefish salad and the "Nona", which comes with chicken cutlet and roasted peppers. Both were fantastic. The portion of whiteish salad was generous and fairly priced (both sandwiches under $10 and came with side of macaroni salad or potato salad with pickle). Located in New Britain Village Square, Chalfont, PA, Bagel Barn Cafe is a local family owned business offering their personal bagel recipe and deli in a pleasant casual environment. The shop has a large dining area off to the side and rear, self serve coffee station to the left and cashier/display case right up front, with kitchen just behind. Furniture was basic with plenty of space all around, accented by a number of antique signs on walls and shelves. My onion bagel with veggie cream cheese was a solid representation of the genre, with firm skin, soft inner texture and decent roasted onion flakes on top with little fallout with each bite. The java was strong, hot and a bracing caffeinated washdown the old pipe. Overall, quite satisfying and helps to make the up country drive far from the madding crowd worthwhile. Run don't walk to Bagel Barn Café! The bagels are delicious. The bagels are super fresh, light with the right amount of chewiness and texture making this a great bagel. I am very picky when it comes to bagels so I'm excited to finally have superior NY bagels in the area. I have tried their everything bagel which was seasoned and seeded perfectly. They also have a variety of cream cheese spreads that I look forward to trying on my next visit. Service is friendly and top notch. Although they were busy, the cafe was well staffed with friendly people who were extremely efficient. The ambience is cute and there is seating. I was recently at the Willow Grove Mall and my family said they wanted bagels. My first check was to Yelp after finishing my trip to the mall, and the place I chose was about 15 minutes away in the wrong direction from my house. And what happens? I struck out - Sold Out. So I had to go back to Yelp and picked another place which was another 15 minutes away and the weather was turning rough. I made it to Bagel Barn Cafe, and so did everyone else in the area. There was a considerable line about 12pm, many young staff flying around earning some Christmas money, and thankfully there were some bagels left. I ended up with a dozen and a half but sold them out of the plain, egg, and I had to pick some flavors like sun dried tomato which I didn't really want. But boohoo to the next persons in line as they were not coming out with any just made bagels and some people sitting in the cafe didn't get their choice for their bagel sandwich. These bagels were some of the lightest and fluffiest of any bagels I've ever had. The Asiago bagels (.75 upgrade each) were outstanding. They are made even bigger than the regular bagels. My son said, "It's bigger than my hand!" They were all fine with Philadelphia cream cheese. I don't think I'd drive the 50 plus minutes just to get more of these bagels, but if I were in the area I'd make a stop. All of the very busy staff were friendly and helpful. read more

I have had a few bagels from this place and just made my first in person visit. I loved the Italian sandwich as it has boars head meats and a nice Italian dressing on an Asiago bagel. Very unique and it was made pretty quickly during the lunch hour. I am accustomed to a bagels with a brown crisp exterior. The bagels I have had here are not like the normal bagels I usually have but they are very good. They have a soft exterior and are always very fresh. Fantastic house made bagels that are fresh and flavorful. Many flavor options to make everyone in the family happy. We like the breakfast sandwiches but my husband thinks they are a bit skimpy m! My fiancee and I have been coming to bagel barn for the last two years and have always loved the service and bagels. This morning we walked in and got a half dozen and 2 bagel sandwiches. We waited for the sandwiches for over 15 minutes. We saw other customers place their bagel sandwich orders who came in after us order and leave. When my fianccee' went up to ask about the order, the girls were in their own conversation and my fiancee had to flag one down. Finally, he got someone's attention and inquired about our order. The girl then asked if we place it online or by phone when they took our order 15 minutes ago. When we did get our sandwiches they were lukewarm at best. We were very disappointed. (Another side note: the girls were not just ignoring us they were ignoring other customers talking about the classes they were taking that fall.) THANK YOU for opening here. Before Bagel Barn Café opened, my closest bagel was Manhattan Bagel, which is just awful, from a bagel perspective. Everyone in this location has been SUPER friendly and accommodating. I've had the pleasure of visiting now some 4 or 5 times, and every single time, busy or not, you are greeted with a smile and a friendly greeting by each and every staff member. The service is fast, even with their delicious made-to-order sandwiches. The breakfast options are on-point too - I'll attach a pic of "The Wilbur" on an Egg Everything bagel, despite the risk of my cardiologist friend seeing it. I noticed this place on a trip to Giant and thought I'd give it a shot. I called on a Sunday morning about 5 minutes out, to order a couple breakfast burritos and they said "give us 30-35 minutes". What? So, OK, I did what I was in the area to do and then went over. Note: pay on the phone. The place was packed and I had to wait to pay. I went to Bagel Barn when they first opened and wasn't impressed. I returned today to try them again now that they've been open for a while and, in my opinion, they have stepped up their game. I had an onion bagel with whitefish salad. The whitefish salad was very good, similar to most bagel shops. The bagel was more well baked than I remember from last time which is the major improvement.
