I will say now that I read the reviews of this franchise I am embarrassed that I even went or write a review. I found 10 of these place within 2-3 hours of me and the highest rating was 3. I thought it would be good, drive through quick and easy. I ordered the American and my daughter got their brisket one. The brisket one was bland and had a horrible aftertaste. The American was alright but not for that price. I could had made it better at home. No seasoning, no flavor, the bacon was slightly cooked. The service was nice at the window but if you look instead de you will notice teenagers that hate their job. They throw the food to the counter. They slop the dressing on, they have no direction or pride in their serving. I blame management and ownership. The place was clean looking. It looked new and I will say being in a vegan area and your bengals taste store bought, not good store bought but packed store bought in a fresh bengal making area, you are going to fail. I stopped by Manhattan Bagel for breakfast yesterday on my way out of town, and it's not a bad place for a quick breakfast on the go. I had a pumpernickel with jalapeno cream cheese. I don't know how that happened (jalapeno cream cheese is definitely not my normal order - must have been a panic order or that I hadn't had my coffee yet), but it was okay (the cream was too thin and so the warm bagel - I toasted it - just had the cream cheese sliding right off the bagel as I ate it). The pumpernickel bagel itself was pretty good. I've had better coffee, too, but I liked the place itself and thought the service was really fast and friendly (they also have a drive-thru line, so they're working hard to keep up with orders). Always delicious coffee and food and the staff is always so kind! Brittany was working today when my son and I came in and she gave him a complimentary smoothie. It meant the world to us and I really hope she knows how grateful we are. My son was treated so well by the whole staff and we loved our food and drinks. We will always come back. Thank you! I've never been to a bagel drive through before, but I guess the time was right for a new experience. Truth be told, that was the most memorable part of my stop in Chalfont, PA, a village in the bucolic center of Bucks County. It was strange to remain in the car rather than walk in to scope out the bagel bins to see their inventory before ordering. Too, the queue was exceedingly slow, and it would have been quicker to park and go inside, than to wait in the drive up window crawl. Lesson learned. As to the bagel, it was a softy, without firm crust, but plenty of roasted onion flakes. Funny that these rounders are called "Manhattan Bagels," when nothing could be further from an accurate name. Without a firm bite and chew, and smaller than found in a corner bagelry in any borough of the city, these children while minimally satisfactory, just don't provide that full bagel nosh we all love. The peach yogurt smoothie was likewise a poor facsimile of the fresh fruit drink I hoped for. It was made from a heavy sweet peach syrup, with nary a hint of peach pulp to be found. So I went inside to order to large chi lattes, and the very nice person at the front desk started making them and the manager yelled, I told you drive thru customers come first. She could have pulled her aside. Very rude, plus I left a tip because I almost felt like I needed to because of the manager. So with the tip it was $14.34 for two large drinks. Their parking lot is also a disaster which is not their fault but they could put up better signage. If the manager doesn't want to pretend to look happy maybe managing a business where customer service is critical is not a good career choice for her. read more

My Fiancee' and I have come to this Manhattan bagel numerous times and had good experiences. However, we went recently and after paying with the card at the drive-thru the girl shoved the tip machine in my fiancee's face. . He hit no tip as this is not a dine-in experience. (COVID has made the food industry entitled that they deserve a tip for take-out services.) I looked at my fiancee' and said "I wonder if she will mess up our order because she is mad we didn't tip her." When we got home my fiancee's sandwich was dissembled, the egg and sausage were on top of the bagel, the cheese was melted into the foil and not on the sandwich. It was cut lopsided and it was an absolute mess. We were in shock that this is how Manhattan allows their employees to be. They have most likely lost our business altogether. read more

The wait in the dive through line today was long enough that I could have sat down at a restaurant and been served an entire meal. Instead, I got two measly fast food breakfast items and only one of my two coffees I ordered after waiting 15 minutes to order, 20 minutes to get to the window after ordering, and another 5 minutes at the window. I left without the missing coffee because I couldn't stand to wait any longer, and the person at the window didn't even know what kind of coffee was missing (hot or cold, size, or anything). This level of service costs your patrons valuable time at the most important part of the day when they are either trying to get to work or trying to get back to work. It'd be better if it was just not open for business. This level of service is costing employers and companies thousands of dollars a day because their employees are stuck in a line longer than the line for the port-a-potties at a chili cook off and slower than molasses. It is unacceptable. I will not be patronizing this location again until something is done to address this service issue. read more

2 stars because the coffee was hot and actually was prepared the way I asked. However, One bagel was not toasted after asking for it toasted well done the second bagel had a piece of egg and one strip of bacon not quite sure there was any cheese on it for the bacon egg and cheese which was ordered. Got a coupon for a dozen free bagels and cream cheese when I moved to the area. Was served right away by a friendly young man. Treated my coworkers to breakfast that morning and felt like a hero. Despite the positive initial experience, none of my follow-up visits were anything like the first. One time I tried a new mixed lemonade strawberry drink. I had to dilute it with lots of water as it was way too sweet. I could've made a gallon of that drink out of one cup, it was like pure syrup. Next time I was immediately turned away because they said they were closed yet the hours on the web site said they were open. Today was the final straw. As soon as I placed my order for this turkey bacon avocado bagel sandwich "thing", I immediately regretted it. The drive-thru line wasn't moving. There was only one car ahead of me at the window yet I sat behind them for a full 15 minutes. Cars lined up behind me and some got fed up and drove around. Very young girls behind the window. The "thing" was nearly inedible. The bagel was burnt and stale - too hard to bite into. There was something gritty in it that I spat out - I was afraid I chipped a tooth on it. If it wasn't for the fact that I was so darn hungry after my 3 hour bike ride I would've thrown that garbage away. This location is dangerously bad and needs to close immediately. read more

The one thing this location needs the MOST is to be CLEANED! We stopped in to grab some bagel sandwiches for lunch and as we waited for our order, we couldn't help but notice how filthy the tile floor was. The carpets need to be vacuumed badly, there is a thick coating of dust on the ceiling fans, hanging sconces and the counter where you get coffee was in much need of wiping down. If there is one thing a good restaurant needs to uphold, it's being clean. Unfortunately they fail miserably. With the amount of kids they have behind the counter, I would think at least one could be dedicated to cleaning. Even the sides of the griddle they cook food on are caked with dried drippings of who knows what. The food is okay but presented poorly. But, it's honestly upsetting that almost every time I go to this Manhattan Bagel, my order is never fully right. I understand that they get very busy, so I actually try to go when there is a lull; however, more times than not, there happens to be something missing or something wrong with my food. I never get anything complicated with a bunch of modifications, so it isn't like I make their job more difficult. With this being the only bagel shop in close proximity to chalfont, I expect more. Without having a digital screen showing you what you ordered, the staff should definitely repeat your order back to you for everyone's sake, but they don't. Please try to fix this issue! If you want an iced latte I do not recommend this place. It is almost $5 for a latte and the cup was 90% ice. It is one thing to have a lot of ice in an iced coffee to keep it cold, but this drink lasted about 10 sips before I hit the bottom. It's hard out here, save that $5. read more

Called in an order from my car on way down Butler Ave, got there and paid for my order. While waiting, I observed the place run entirely by teens . Not 1 adult in sight and the place was in chaos! Cooked eggs sitting in aluminum foil at the edge of the grill for 5 minutes, CS person at register apologizing for a screwed up web order, and at one point the entire staff in the back room leave the counter unattended. From my vantage point I could see that my order was never started and when after 15 minutes of total wait plus the 5 minutes of drive time I asked the CS person when I could expect my order. Here response was astonishing: she apologized for being short staffed with seven or eight kids present and offered a refund of my order! Not once offering to just make my order quickly and maybe a free coffee for my long wait! BTW my order was for a single bagel sandwich not a huge catering order. Franchisee needs better management at this location! Sunday is a busy day for this type of food type and there needs to be some strong supervision.
