There are NO good Bagels in New Hope, so I drive 20+ minutes here. Their Bagels are FRESH, they aren't over baked. Besides Bagels and spreads like Cream Cheese/Butter/Jelly/etc, they have Breakfast Sandwiches and Sandwiches for Lunch. I usually stop for Lunch so I'll do a Combo which will get you a side (Macaroni Salad, Potato Salad or Coleslaw) and a Pickle. I haven't had a combo I didn't like. I haven't tried the Potato Salad or Coleslaw because the Macaroni is so good, I can't not get it. If you like Hoagies, definitely try one here. They are made on Bagel Twists! It's busy on the weekends, so I'd get there early or you risk not getting your favorite kind of Bagel. Egg is mine, and there's been a few times they ran out. Another thing you can do is order online, it makes pick up a lot easier.

Pennington Bagel Experience sits in the far corner of Pennington Plaza on Route 31, right next to Diamond's. Nearly impossible to see unless you know where to look. The shop is a community hangout with small and large tables for customers, and a bagel centric menu for sandwiches breakfast and lunch. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Coffee is strong and flavorful. Ordering is done in the far right corner next to the large bins holding their precious treasures. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese on onion sammy and retreated to a crumb filled table to await my meal. It arrived quickly with a smile. I liked their rendition of this traditional offering, although it would have been better had the store actually had a grill for the egg and meat preparation. I am not a fan of microwaved eggs, and although very bouffant from the radiation, there was not a yolk to be found. Taste of the egg was bland, but the sausage patty and bagel pulled it through. The bagel was of the light and airy school, which I prefer. I have to remember to ask about the cooking fixtures to avoid the nuked approach to grilling in the future. This Pennington Bagel was generally a good experience, but it could be so much better if they were allowed to use hot steel for cooking. That microwave is holding them back. 3.5 Stars

Beautifully decorated and a nice place for a date night. The last time we visited about a year ago…read morethis was 5 solid stars but this recent visit was not the same. We also noticed that the place is starting to show wear and not as appointed as it was on our last visit. We came for happy hour which was really only $1-2 off of a selection of menu items. We tried the $20 burger and it was ok. The charcuterie board was not that impressive either. I pulled up a photo of the last time we had it and it was not even close in quality, selection, and quantity. The arancini were small and swimming in sauce and totally over salted to the point we couldn't eat them. The fries were just ok. On a higher note the cocktails were done to perfection and presented well. Overall, I felt that for the prices they charge we should be fully impresssed but this visit was mediocre at best.

Oysters for happy hour $3/piece... eh not really a happy hour price and the oysters are mediocre. I didn't intent to do happy hour on a Saturday, but showed up and gave it a shot with wife and her friends. The drinks are good and unique. The happy hour prices aren't really happy hour prices, and please don't say "value" because the portions were very stingy. You want the asthetic or quick overpriced lunch with really not great service, sure. Otherwise spend the $ elsewhere. Some happy hour items were incorrect on my bill. I let them know on the way out and didn't take the correction because $2 off an item for happy hour was robbery regardless. Fortunately for this place there are limited fine dining lunch options giving Boro the ability to fit this niche. Ambiance is consistently nice, 4 walls, water runs... If they want to charge what they charge they need better service or have better food. Burger 7.5/10 Chili chicken 10/10 Oysters 4/10 (didnt make me sick so that's a +) Calemari 5/10 (came out cold) Tuna Tartar 4/10 (+2 if you like lentils, tasted more like ceviche in my opinion) Drinks 7-10 * wedge salad with truffle dressing 10/10 Recommendation Wedge Salad Chili Chicken Pick a cocktail Exit the restaurant

Am I glad I tried this combo! It was so very flavorful, and the poached eggs and hollandaise were cooked perfectly. The toasted rye was a huge, thick slice... totally unexpected but an expert offering. I savored every bite of this twist on the classic! The ultimate breakfast came with pancakes or French toast, two eggs and a protein. There is a smaller combo that basically is the same size. I could've sworn in previous months or years that they also would give you toast and fruit or home fries on top of it. That would really make it the ultimate breakfast. But the portion size was a lot to be desired. I have the corned beef hash, which was OK, and it was not too salty, which I feared. However, I think they were using a lot more potatoes and only a little bit of corned beef which made it a little bit of a letdown. The service was pretty good and the ambience was as good as I remember. They got rid of the bocce ball in the front in order to have more tables outside. Time to try some other places.

It wasn't showing up on my account. I called the restaurant and they were able to find and confirm. I don't know if it's an Open Table glitch. They were so accommodating upon arrival when our party went from 9 people to 7. The staff was amazing and on top of everything. We ordered apps off the dining room menu but they let us order large pizzas instead of the 12" ones. We had calamari and bacon wrapped shrimp. I love that they offer the calamari in both fried and grilled. I was outvoted on the grilled but I have to say that the squid was perfectly cooked. Not chewy or fishy at all. Very tender. The breading was light and not greasy at all. The bacon wrapped shrimp were interesting. The shrimp were huge. They were drenched in BBQ sauce. I thought it was ok but I'm not sure about the flavor combo. We ordered a large plain and a large pepperoni. I thought the plain was delicious. The dough was good and not too much flop. The sauce was a bit sweet, which I like. The only issue is that the cheese and sauce didn't stick to the dough so it slid off while cutting. Overall, I think they did a great job with a large group during weekday lunch.

I tend to enjoy tomato based sauces that are not too sweetened with sugar since diabetes is on the rise. I also prefer freshly made food, especially pizzas or lasagnes--the way my mom used to make meals fresh out of the oven back in the eighties. The atmosphere is okay: I have gone there from time to time if I had nothing made at home, and was hungry right after grocery shopping next door. The ice cream place next door has a more congenial and pleasant atmosphere. Perhaps this place could be benefit from having a variety of sauces or fresher options on the menu, and less gruffer voice tones when customers are waiting for their meals. It felt like more of a pizza making factory than a place to sit and enjoy a delicious set of dishes. Their mozzarella sticks were really good, though, and a few waiters: kind and well mannered. But: their atmosphere and cuisine might reflect the times in which we live: rushed and in a jiffy like a quickie.
