I am making a conscious decision to cut down on processed meats, and I am paying the same price for the most expensive item that is not in the bagel. Business owners can make any decision they would like as it is their business, but I will not be returning to this establishment. Also, just an FYI the bagels are very soft, when recently comparing the bagels here versus say a Manhattan Bagel, I personally prefer Manhattan as I like to chew and take some time to devour my bagel. I hate leaving "bad reviews" especially for small businesses so I'll start with the few good points about this business and then get into why I'm less than thrilled. 1. They sell Ellis coffee and it's good. (Although they don't check on their coffee bar because the two cartons of half and half were basically empty) 2. I appreciated how fresh the bagels stayed even the second day of having them however it did not help the fact that none of the bagels had any flavor. French toast bagel looked plain didn't taste like anything. Blueberry bagel didn't taste like blueberry . The chocolate chip bagel had just surface level chocolate chips and the everything bagel was okay but I don't know how they could have screwed that up with as much seasoning as it there is. I was weary just entering this place because if you look at the bagel rack - all the bagels look the same. They have a large variety of bagels so I feel like they shouldn't all look the same but they do because I think the genuinely use the same bagel and throw on some "toppings". They were fresh like I said but lacked any flavor at all. My boyfriend said his garlic bagel barely had any flavor on his sandwich and the only thing that did was the sausage because the egg was unseasoned and the bagel was bland. Also the person waiting on us was not very friendly. She wasn't mean she just seemed to hate her job and wasn't very nice. She was super short and impatient. I would not want staff like that at my own business especially interacting with new customers they want to potentially come back. Needless to say I will not be back. I like crispy almost burnt bacon but not black back that tastes burnt. It over powered the sandwiches. Besides that everything else about the sandwich was great! The cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese was good. Packed with cinnamon swirls. Just wish there were more raisins in it. My bagle only had about 2 or 3 rasins in each side. Not bagels!!! They are great rolls, they taste, feel and cut like rolls with holes. THEY ARE NOT BAGELS. I came in here for a quick breakfast with a co-worker since the hotel breakfast look like... well not edible. I came in ordered a bacon/egg/cheese bagel and a coffee. The bagel was very good and fresh tasting. The bacon was a little thin and over cooked for my tastes, but I didn't ask for the bacon to be done less so how can I complain about that? The shop is quite small, and all you see are wire bins of bagels and a self serve coffee shelf, but not actual "bread" shown for sale. Nary a loaf in sight. Why is that? Best I can ascertain, at this business they are one and the same. A bagel is bread is true, but by that generalization, so are crackers and pita. Simplistic, but telling. While all bagels are bread, not all bread are bagels. Perhaps, by such gross definition, you don't focus on the doughy fact that you can make bread look like a bagel, but it may not actually be one. To my taste, this is what occurred here. These round wheels are perfect facsimiles of bagels, and look great. Still, by taste and texture they are not bagels. They are bagel-like bread creations that have neither the consistency, nor taste/texture of the real thing. It's not that they are bad, but more a surprising disappointment that upon first bite, reminds of sliced sourdough or rye, more than a properly boiled and baked traditional delicacy. So, the best I can conclude is that at this establishment bagel and bread refer to the same thing. Problem is, there are no real crisp skinned, flavorful insides, light or dense, boiled and baked goodies here. Only bread in the form of bagels. I'm in town just for the day for school and I was looking for a spot to grab breakfast before heading in that was local to Horsham (Starbucks, Dunkin, & Wawa for that matter don't NEED my money). I LOVE bagels so this spot was definitely a must try for me, GOOD GRAVY this was exactly what I needed! I tried a ham, egg, and cheese on a cheddar bagel and opted for a hashbrown and iced coffee to make it a meal. The cheese was ooey gooey, the bagel was soft but had that perfect bagel bite, and the egg?? A REAL FREAKING EGG! The ham was gently fried on a flat top, I can only assume and it wasn't too salty. The bagel was so fresh and delicious. I never get a fresh bagel toasted. It was a bit firm but chewy and fantastic. The egg was cooked well and the bacon was beyond perfect! It was crispy and hot. There is nothing worse than bacon thrown on a sandwich that is not warmed up. They weren't skimpy with it either. It was a solid breakfast sandwich and at a steal for less then $7.00 with a drink. I could eat bagels here as is but then, they have sandwich options and man oh man... They are the best breakfast sandwiches. As i was standing in line to order (this would be my first, and last, order) I was looking at the bagels and they just didn't look right. They didn't have that shiny, crusty crust. I really should have just left but I hoped that maybe they were made differently and would still be good. So I placed my order. These bagel are not bagels. This.place.ROCKS. It has some of the biggest, best, breadiest bagels ever. I used to frequent this place a lot when I worked around this location. The breakfast sandwiches are always hot and tasty. Normally breakfast sandwiches are difficult to elevate, however you get a large portion of egg, meat, and cheese and the bagel really just elevates it to the next level. I have had the lunch sandwiches on occasional and they are always jam packed with ingredients. Finally, it a real bonus to be helping out a mom and pop place like this over DD or Wawa. I highly, highly, highly, recommend this place if you are in the area and like bagels.
