I am the victim of ongoing and escalating harassment by the owners of Bagel Cafe, identified as Patel and Monna, following a truthful review I posted regarding a piece of plastic found in my sandwich. Since posting that review, these individuals have engaged in a sustained campaign of retaliation against me that has caused me severe emotional distress, fear, and anxiety for my personal safety. Beginning on February 6, 2026, and continuing to the present day, Patel and Monna have called my personal phone, sent harassing direct messages, and subjected me to defamatory and demeaning verbal abuse--including derogatory slurs and character attacks. They have also publicly posted my name on social media in an apparent attempt to intimidate and humiliate me. These actions have damaged my reputation and created a significant sense of fear and vulnerability in my daily life. Despite my attempts to ignore the offenders, they have persisted. Even more concerning, they have attempted to manipulate or delete online evidence of their misconduct, including content on Google and Yelp, suggesting a deliberate and coordinated effort to suppress my truthful account and cover up their wrongdoing. Fortunately, I have archived and preserved records of every instance of harassment as evidence. At this point, I am genuinely fearful for my safety. No individual should ever be subjected to ongoing intimidation, defamation, or harassment--especially by business owners misusing their power to silence critical feedback. read more

Was in the area and hungry so looked up where to get a bagel close by. I should have read reviews…read morebut didn't. When I found the place it was behind a house in the bottom floor. When we walked in it was warm as if no AC and dark and dingy. The bagel baskets were almost empty and it was only 10am so I asked if they baked every day to which the owner replied yes but that today they weren't baking any more. I found this odd because it was so early and the baskets were so empty and they do have a lunch menu. Ok so we proceeded to order. My son got a chicken salad sandwich on an everything bagel and I was interested in the whitefish because it said they made their own "chunky" whitefish salad so I asked to see it. He showed my a container and it looked chunky and good so I ordered it. We also got 1/2 dozen bagels for my son to go, small chocolate milk and a container of garlic and herb cream cheese. The bill came to $53! I questioned the $2.49 price per bagel and was told he had employees to pay "sometimes" and benefits etc. (He was the only one there and the place was empty) When I left and opened my bagel with "chunky" whitefish it was the worst sandwich ever! The bagel was far from fresh, very dense and dry and there was the smallest spread of whitefish on it and not one"chunk" of fish! It was like a bait and switch and so disappointing! I felt so ripped off by everything and the owner's excuse on the astronomical pricing was the icing (I'm also used to NY bagel pricing and he's even higher with what seems very little overhead) I would never go back and do not recommend this place for anyone!

So in the ensuing confusion we managed to find this little place and enjoyed the food. The experience was a bit lackluster, but nothing was bad, and I would still say if you're in the area, Santangelo's is definitely worth checking out as they offer classic breakfast staples at a reasonable price. Tucked away in Norristown behind where the old Conte Luna pasta factory used to be located, there is generous parking and both seating inside and some outside tables for when the weather is nice. This is the point where our visit ended up a bit rocky. My eighty year old godmother joined us for breakfast who uses a cane and has a very hard time with steps. The indoor seating here is divided into two floors, the second, up an extremely long set of stairs. When we were seated we were told upstairs was the only seating available and that the large table that would've seated our party of five downstairs was "reserved". Not one to cause any issues, she told us it was fine and we decided to go upstairs despite the issues getting up there and enjoyed our meal. However, upon finishing and coming back down to pay the bill, the table was still empty and there was no apparent reason that we could not have been seated there, saving an older woman with a disability much stress and difficulty. As for our meal, the food was good! As I had said before, breakfast classics with some unique takes. The scrapple that I ordered as a side with my waffle was absolutely outstanding. Cooked perfectly with a crisp outside and a piping hot yet creamy inside that all who are fans of this divisive Philly staple will know is the "right way". Our server was also very nice and definitely offset the seating debacle, and helped redeem the overall experience. If we are ever nearby for breakfast again, we will likely return and try some other items. I was a bit upset they no longer have the meatball omelet, which sounded crazy and amazing, but maybe one day it will be back! Again, if you are in the area or live close, give Santangelo's a try and decide for yourself!
