Capp's does a good steak. Massive in size, great in cook. And best of all, the meat to sandwich ratio. The roll was a bit on tougher side, but the nonetheleI ate a half hot and the other half a couple hours later and somehow it was even better. Also got the Italian which was good not great, there was some sort of sharp taste in there that threw off the whole flavor profile, or maybe it was missing a fixin we couldn't quite place it. A client recommended the place when I was telling him that I was craving a hoagie. I got my order quickly and just like I ordered it. I got the Old World Italian and the sandwich was excellent. Going to have to try the cheesesteak next time. Thanks to Mo for the recommendation. Update: So I told my coworker and we decided to try the cheesesteaks and with that we got onion rings and an order of wings (extra well done) with sauce on the side. The cheesesteaks were filled with meat and the wings were done to perfection as was the onion rings. 2nd update: picked up the regular Italian with a side of mozzarella sticks. My wife said the mozzarella sticks were done to perfection and the Italian hoagie did not disappoint. Going to try some of the other offerings soon. read more

Capp's Deli. Run don't walk to get the best cheese steaks and hoagies and breakfast sandwiches anywhere! This hidden gem isn't on the main drag of Conshy but that makes it even better. Open only for breakfast and lunch, it offers a wide variety of breakfasts and sandwiches. We tried a sausage, egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll, a bacon , egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll and a pork roll egg and cheese also on a Kaiser roll. You can choose toast, muffin, bagel, Kaiser or 8in. roll. The meats and eggs and cheese filled out the large Kaiser perfectly. I couldn't finish mine with Pork roll. On another occasion we tried the Old World Italian Hoagie and the Nonna's Hot Roast Beef which is only available Monday through Friday. Excellent and yes I am looking forward to getting again. Their Dottie's Meatball Sandwich is also available only Monday through Friday but is like taking a trip back to Nonna's kitchen on Sunday. Don't forget the Conshy Classic, an 18oz mouthwatering ribeye steak sandwich with Cooper sharp cheese and fried onions on a seeded roll. What are you waiting for? You will thank me! I finally tried Capp's breakfast sandwich... and it was awesome! The prices are on point, and it was the perfect hangover bacon egg and cheese. Service was quick, not a long wait. They did not skimp on the cheese or the bacon. The sandwiches were assembled nicely and not thrown together. If you go for the sausage egg and cheese, I recommend getting extra meat as it's a thinner patty. I hope Capp's adds everything bagels to the mix, but the plain bagel was not a deal breaker. Solid breakfast sandwich! My husband and I stopped in for a breakfast sandwich while my daughter was at practice. Sandwich was VERY good and easy to eat. It was not overloaded so that it would fall apart, but with just the right egg to meat to cheese ratio. They even threw some jelly on it for me. Roll was extremely fresh. My husband had no complaints, so that says a lot. We'll be back. Ate it too fast to take a pic. The best part was the price. Two breakfast sandwiches and two sodas for under $20! We had a sports tournament at a field close by and found this place on Yelp.. man it didn't disappoint! First day we got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a 12 inch sub roll.. amazing! Next day I got a cheeseburger and my som got an Italian sub.. best meals we had while in Philly. Simple and good. Great bread. Solid Italian coldcut sub in the American tradition. Chewy and soft bread that respected the filling of the sandwich. The meats were generous enough but not particularly Italian. What in the hell.... Ordered the Grilled Chicken fillet breast on kaiser and the chicken was not cooked through or the frozen chicken must have been frozen for so long it turned out like a rubber fillet of something but it sure wasn't chicken. I get no joy in writing this review but in all seriousness I think this item could get someone severly sick. I had to remove one of the patties and just risk it with the other thinly sliced pattie as I was going for some protein for lunch to make it through my work day. The menu here looks good and the prices are very fair I would just highly recommend you do not order the grilled chicken breast. Had such high expectations on this cornerstreet deli. I can't stomach to give them a second chance after this experience. read more

Capp's is a great spot for a quick lunch to go if you're in the area! Yelp led me here after a exhausting shopping experience at Ikea, which is 5 minutes away. Upon walking in you'll notice that this place is pretty bare bones and a bit run down, but don't let the look fool you. If you pick up a sandwich here, you'll be doing very well for yourself. I got the Italian which came with ham, salami, capicola, lettuce, tomato, onion, roasted pepps, and some oil and vinegar on a fresh roll. It was pretty great. Actually, after eating so many pretentious subs and sandwiches in the city with aioli's, chutney's, and meats that have a better pedigree and upbringing than I do, it was very refreshing to eat something like I would have bought in my old neighborhood back in the day. Fresh bread, tasty cold cuts, and heaps of fresh veg. Simple, delicious and to the point. Four stars from me. read more
