Would've loved to give this place a high rating but i had a horrible experience. I walked in and it was not busy, no line. I ordered my food and i order a little slow because i tend to stutter a little when i speak, i felt very rushed by the man taking my order. After ordering he mumbled something i didn't understand and asked him to repeat himself, he got visibly frustrated with me. He asked me what bread i wanted for my sandwich and seemed very frustrated i didn't know i had to pick in the first place. I said "oh sorry this is my first time here" to which he replied " you have to pick your bread at any breakfast sandwich place." which that may be true, but also I'm not from here and where I'm from there aren't even breakfast sandwich shops like this. and to get visibly frustrated and catch an attitude with a customer who is paying for your product is just insane to me. it wasn't until I started to show that I was visibly frustrated and offended at his treatment of me that he walked away from the cash register and didn't even ring me up. A lady came by and she helped me and I let her know that the last employee was not very nice and she was very nice to me and then as I waited for my sandwich, I witnessed that not very nice man being extra, super nice to every other customer that walked through the door. Now the question is would i return? To be honest, probably. The sandwich was a 10/10

For about a year and a half I have been coming here and I always just kind of took it for granted because it was where everybody around here popped in to get breakfast sandwiches or coffee or bottled juices. They have a good breakfast and lunch menu and I've probably tried at least a third of their menu and enjoyed it. When I eat in, it's delivered to the table with a smile. But I mostly take out. The takeout is always packaged very neatly in strong bags that don't break. Don't laugh but that's the thing with me. Well the next generation of DEE Is now a big fan of Jeanies . There's not a time the adult feminine offspring visits me that she doesn't stop either before hand or afterwards but I think she goes there Nearly as often as I now. I love it when she stops before hand because I always get treated to a bagel sandwich!!!! The friendly, great service at reasonable prices are nothing new around here. I see commuters stop in for their coffee and a sandwich before crossing the Pike to catch the commuter train into the city. So Jeannies provides a nice commuter meal as well. Note to self: Stop in for lunch at Jeannies soon.

Jeannie's Deli Ardmore PA. Very nice people, nice clean place, I just wasn't feeling it. 10 a.m. and they were serving their full menu. I decided to go with a breakfast cheesesteak. I was prepared to beg, plead and grovel for Jeannie to make me a breakfast cheesesteak but there's one on the menu. You can see in the picture an awesome amount of cheese and plenty of steak meat and eggs. I think the roll had me not digging Jeannie's. It could have been me. But I think it was the roll. They had a steady stream of regulars getting their breakfast so it could have been me. But I think it was the roll.

It's amazing how I can live in a place with so many great places to eat for many years and never make it to all of them but going to others often. I think they call it 'getting into a rut'. The Reverend and I do that. Jeannie's Deli has been in Ardmore for quite a while, and I walk past it all the time on my way to the dry cleaners next door, the post office and library up the street, etc. Heck, we used to eat frequently at John Henry's across the street. I think we never went in as it was prior to this summer a strictly take-out deli place. We do some take out, thanks to the NMT our hoagies though are mostly Wawa with a smattering of Chris' Deli (the former J & G L lunchmeat Villa). Over the spring the Browse Around Thrift Shop (AKA the "Irish Nuns" as locals called it) next door closed. Jeannie's likewise shut down but as it turns out for renovations and an expansion - they took over the storefront space formerly occupied by the Nuns (but not the warehouse space behind the storefront), completely remodeling and adding 2 and 4 top tables for eat-in. We decided this was the time to finally go in. The place, being brand spanking newly renovated was super clean and bright. Although there are tables, there is no wait staff service, we ordered at the counter and our food was brought to us. Drinks were self-serve. The Rev loved the coffee bar. Food was...fine. Pancakes were tasty and fluffy with a bit of density to ensure they held syrup without disintegrating. They will pre-butter your flapjacks meaning they will be deliciously saturated with butter. Bacon was surprisingly bland, this is disappointing but hey, that's what salt shakers are. Our toasted bagel was likewise bland which, given the great bagel sourcing here in Philly, was disappointing. Staff were very congenial and accommodating. Please note that your cell data plan will generally suck here, it's a beautiful old building and for all their gazillion dollars Verizon and others haven't figured out how to get a good signal in these places made before construction consisted of paper and sticks. You'll still get calls, however Words With Friends has to wait until after your meal. This is not an altogether bad thing. Their business is still clearly mostly takeout, as a parade of folks came in ordering various items, waiting, then going on their day. It's a pleasant expansion to the Ardmore dining scene, and one we will likely visit occasionally.

There is no indoor or outdoor seating - strictly takeout. I stopped by on a beautiful day. Orders a cheesesteak, provolone, no onions from the order window. My order was made pretty promptly, it's a shorter steak bun but it is thiiiick. As in unhinge your jaw thick. The beef was plentiful and juicy. Cheese was well blended. Roll held up well. So, why 4 stars? There's something missing in the flavors. I can't quite identify, it was just very ... bland. That's not easy to do with a cheesesteak. When I got home I grabbed some seasoning, which helped. Not perfect, but better. I hope it was a fluke, and I'll likely go again.

Gazzo's opened July 23rd, 2025 and I can tell this is going to be a fantastic addition with another top cheesesteak shop in the area. The renovations are great they definitely put money into this venture paving the parking lot, and painting the shop to match their brand, it looks fantastic. Order and pickup at the window, this is a to go only shop, although they do have a couple picnic tables outside. I placed my order and it was ready in roughly 5 minutes. Took it on a 20 minute drive and it held up well, the rolls were still intact and the steak piping hot. I got 2 steaks with cooper sharp, and fried onions on one of them. The cheese was worked into the entire sandwich and the onions were caramelized, soft and sweet. They were out is non-seeded rolls, which is a disappointment to me, however the rolls were not overly seeded. Stop in and check them out, love having another top steak shop in the area.

There are a number of these hot chicken places in the area now, they are coming up like Starbucks and Wawas, about time we got one the main line. We ordered 2 number 2's which is 2 hot chicken sandwiches and fries. I went with hot and my friend medium. I have a high tolerance for hot food and would definitely try the next level heat next time. My friend loved the medium and won't go higher. Like the other hot chicken places it appears they dry season, which is nice because the sandwich stays crispy on the outside while the interior was juicy and delicious. The cole slaw was crunchy and a nice addition to the sandwich. Fries were hot and tasty, the entire meal travelled well, but it didn't have far to go. They have smoothies on the menu, will try one in the future. And banana pudding for dessert which is a staple at the hot chicken places. Nice addition to the lineup in Ardmore, I hope they will consider staying open later on weekends as an option after a concert at the Music hall.
