Giuliano's Deli is one of my favorite deli's to go to! It's a family owned business located in Glenside. Pa., Even though it only has on street parking, I've never had a problem finding a place to park. Everyone is very friendly, treating me like an old friend. I usually order a chicken salad hoagie or Italian. Their sandwiches are always fresh and delicious. Especially the hoagie rolls. They also have a great deli counter with fresh lunch meats and salads. They even have a pickle barrell. Giuliano's also have a large selection of beers. Some...I have never heard of. I am not from or familiar with this area. My boyfriend pre-ordered tomato pies for pick up for the day if the super bowl. On my way over I picked them up. I was so glad the street parking was easy and available! Even though there was a long line, it moved quickly and everyone was friendly-the staff and the customers! Saturday afternoon and can't decide on dinner. Decided a hoagie from Fink's. Called Finks they answer sold out. I call BS, they close at 4 and can't be bothered. Called Giuliano's and ordered one large original Italian with onion and hot peppers on the side. Easy transaction under $10. Pickup was a breeze, with tax just over $10, no fee for using a credit card big plus. The hoagie was packed with meat, shredded lettuce, sharp provolone and two slices of decent tomato. Had to remind them about the sides. Two very small servings on onion and maybe pickled jalapeño, not cherry pepper. Sandwich was good, needed to be a bit wetter with seasoned oil maybe. Not the best but very good and I'd do it again. Very fresh and clean ingredients and I like the chewy dense fresh roll. read more

Giuliano's is always a great place to shop. I've bought beer and sausage here for several years, and it's still a favorite place to go, find interesting beers, maybe fill a growler, and have a good conversation with the guy behind the register. Update: It's now owned by a friend, so we have stopped in to take out deli sandwiches for the first time. Today's Chicken Dumpling soup was excellent, my past two club sandwiches have been great--well, they don't cut them into quarters, so they're a lot to handle--and the chicken salad sandwich my wife had today was good enough, and big enough, to save half for tomorrow's lunch. Their sandwiches are good enough that you may want to order by phone ahead of time: there can be a ten- or fifteen-minute wait at busy times. Just had a really good Italian Stallion Hoagie. This is a great deli and beer shop. I am beer drinker and they have some choice selections here that you won't find anywhere else in the area. It's taken me way too long to try this place, but I will absolutely be going back often! You can smell how fresh everything is when you walk in. They had a really good beer selection too. I had the chicken deluxe sandwich, and my SO had the hot roast beef. The sandwiches come absolutely loaded, so the price is very fair. The tomatoes on my sandwich were perfect, which I know sounds minor but a lot of places use subpar tomatoes. SO really enjoyed the roast beef too. A nice little corner deli heading out of Glenside going towards the back way to Jenkintown. Heard the sandwiches were good so went in and ordered the Italian Hoagie with oil and vinegar. When you order the cashier gives your order to a young lady through a window like opening and you can see her working on your order. The hoagie was excellent with a generous supply of meat and the right portion of veggies, oil and seasonings. If you take out the cashier asks you if you want a bag and napkins. Have lived in the area 20+ and just went to Giuliano's for the first time. Wow, will be returning soon. My husband said his Reuben was the best he ever had, not an overloaded mess like some are, crazy delicious. My hoagie was very tasty and fresh. The beer selection is so fun with lots of local brews. Got to meet Matt and Marcella the new owners along with Jeff who keeps the slices of fresh meats and cheeses coming. Our office just ordered from Giuliano's and everything was excellent. The chicken gnocchi soup was fresh and flavorful. When you want a BLT this is your place- piles of bacon. The homemade chicken salad was over the top. Really, anything you get there is made with love from (Tami - the owner) and her staff. My husband and I were craving a hoagie and decided we wanted to try something local! I searched and found Giuliano's! They're easy to spot right off of Mt. Carmel and street parking is easy to find and free for 2 hours. Their hoagies are delicious and while I was picking them up, I grabbed a 6 pack of craft beers that I mixed for just under $13. Score! What a magical place! The best hoagies (crazy good bread), the coldest beer, the coolest people. Huge craft beer selection and growler fill station. They're fast and friendly and reasonably priced. My husband is from MI and anywhere in PA where you can buy beer he calls a party store. This is his favorite. It's also mine. The sandwiches are really great and there is always some type of homemade dessert for sale at the counter. The roast beef they give for hot roast beef is awesome. Rolls are always fresh. Giuliano's has two halves, with separate entrances. One half is more or less a hoagie shop, I believe, though I've never actually been in that half. The other half is primarily six packs, packaged snacks and lottery tickets. Every time I been in the place it has been for beer. They manage to fit a good variety into to two smallish refrigerator cases. It's hard to judge how good the prices are since normally in PA you buy beer by the case; as far as I can tell, they are reasonable. The people that work there are very friendly, and you can tell that they know many of their customers. Nearby street parking is usually easy to find. My one gripe is that they don't accept credit cards. read more
