Abstract bagel interpretations are far more common than they once were in this shop.

They've sadly slid downhill to the point my wife asks why do you still go there? The sadly abstract misshapen bagelry keeps me laughing and frustrated at the same time. There are days when the baker does not get started early enough and a few flavors are not available. Occasionally the bagels are doughy and under baked which is no bueno. The smoked-salmon spread must have changed recipe over the past few months and seems to have liquid smoke added in the cream cheese at this point. I continue to patronize the store since there are no alternatives in the area. I continue to hope they can put in that little extra effort and routinely deliver a stellar product again in the near future.

I was contacted by the NEW owner In reference to my crappy though well-deserved review of the PREVIOUS place. I was contacted because apparently she really cares and wants to know about my experience and I'm sure how to make it even better to learn from previous mistakes. I really like it when an owner reaches out, it shows they that care. Bye-bye guess is that she didn't just care about the review but about how to make it the best place around. I'm not sure if I will be in that neighborhood to go there but I know somebody who did and they said it was better both in service and in taste/quality. They had absolutely no complaints and she's a very good friend of mine I trust her opinion hence 5-Stars.

Let me just start off by saying that I was born and raised in New York, meaning that I am no stranger to authentic bagels and a large selection of flavored cream cheese spreads. This place is the first authentic bagel I have been able to find outside of New York. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and if it's not boiled then knock me over with a feather! The Pros: Great flavor selection Various Cream Cheese flavors Friendly service - after visiting only two times so far the lady at the front counter remembered me and was very welcoming. The Cons: Wait time - both times I visited after 9 AM on a weekday. The first time there was only one person in line ahead of me the other time there were 4-5 people in line ahead of me. That second time I waited at least 20 minutes. There really should be someone else behind the counter to prepare orders while the other deals with taking orders & money. The price - A bagel with cream cheese was a bit on the pricey side. Order accuracy- again, I have only visited twice and both times my order was incorrect. One bagel was ordered toasted but it wasn't. Sadly, this was before a road trip and I didn't realize until I was halfway through Chester county. The So So: The coffee- wasn't horrible but didn't knock my socks off. It was also luke warm.

Just an average bagel place. My breakfast sandwich hit the spot (bacon egg and cheese on a blueberry bagel), but my boyfriend's hash brown was mushy. Service was average and the line was confusing for someone who has never been here before. The line starts to the right of the counter. You order, you then make your way around to the left to pay.... if the staff ever takes your payment. It's almost as if they don't want you to pay, because every customer literally had to ask the staff to take their payment.

So much potential to be a 5...The good: friendly staff, good location. The bagel itself was fresh and home made tasting. Although it was a little chewy...slightly under cooked. Prices good. The bad: clean up! You're serving food! The floor is filthy. The baseboard moldings have like an inch of grease and dirt. Paint, ammonia, bleach...have some respect for your business and customers. The fridge section that is in front of prep area has never been swept underneath. Prime view of filth when sitting inside. Honestly, I hope they will clean it up. I'd like to see this place succeed. But one day, the department of health will close it down. I'll go back in 30 days..look for my update! Update: still no cleaning. Still missing huge commercial opportunities to stock up on extras like chips, snacks, etc.

Horrible bagels. Ordered an egg and cheese bagels and the woman was very rude since I came 45 minutes before closing and ordered 3 egg and cheese bagels. How is that my fault? If you're that annoyed about your job, then close the shop, don't make me pay for your inconsistencies. The bagel was horrible. I ordered an egg and cheese and it had barely anything on it. The bagel tasted old and rubbery. Thanks for ruining my morning. Go to WAWA.

A "garlic" bagel. Must have been low on garlic...

Elevated Eats really does live up to its name…read more This place has been on my list to check out for a while, and I finally got the chance to go. We definitely were not disappointed. The location itself is pretty cool -- it's inside a repurposed bank building, which is a great concept and gives the place a unique feel. The food follows that same idea. Think about your standard sandwiches and bar food, then imagine taking those familiar favorites and kicking them up several notches. That's what Elevated Eats seems to be all about, and they definitely have their own concepts for making these dishes stand out from the crowd. I went with the Vodka Cutlet, and when you can see chicken breast popping out from all sides of a round roll and the sandwich is stacked high, you know you're in for something good. Fair warning: this one is going to get messy -- but it's absolutely worth it. Between the vodka sauce, burrata cheese, hot honey, and prosciutto, there are so many flavors going on. It's like fireworks in your mouth, but somehow everything is still well balanced. You get the richness of the vodka sauce and burrata, the sweetness and heat from the hot honey, and you can still taste the prosciutto throughout the sandwich. And the chicken? There's plenty of it. Honestly, my biggest problem was trying to decide what to order. Everything on the menu looked overwhelmingly delicious and tempting, and there were several things I wanted to try. We'll definitely be going back. If you're in the area, I'd recommend giving Elevated Eats a try. Come hungry -- and maybe bring a few extra napkins.

The cafe is located inside a bigger building and can easily be missed if you are not looking for it. There are signs in the window. No big sign outside to direct you. Ample parking available. Serving staff were attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. I especially loved the homemade potato chips. They are so much better than processed bagged chips. I asked for recommendations before I ordered. I was directed to Dad's Ribeye sandwich. Oh so good! Thinly sliced steak with melted cheese and peppers. It was gooey, messy and the perfect comfort food. I highly recommend a visit.

Now this is unbelievable that I am the first to review. So this is gonna be an experience…read more The beginning First, very delightful on the phone. They got an amazing menu with vegetarian as in portobello mushrooms, but they also have grilled or chopped chicken, which is pretty cool. How, what, why It is a dry steak, not burnt. Really good! p. s. ( some real Philly cheesesteaks make sure it is actually burnt just slightly on the edges to get that super grilled taste. While others are so wet, it soaks through the bun and you can't even pick it up. And if you take it on a trip for 10 minutes...Inedible. Did you know that a ' real steak' is not made w oil ; but spots of water? That's because the fat on it should be good enough in balance that it doesn't stick.) Taste, smell, satisfaction It is very juicy and not oily, (which in my opinion goes through the bun when you take it out, such as when you go to Henry Avenue, or a couple local places) nope. No wet roll. Awesome and great to take for later and re-warm without it getting all screwed up. Idea for goin' South Like taking 50 of them down to Virginia or Tennessee. In a cooler. That would work. My pics I start with just a steak, sesame roll fried onions. I added two kinds of Parmesan, a touch of red pepper, salt, and yes, tomato sauce. Sorry I was raised on that. Ketchup is too sweet for me. Litmus test If you eat a steak plain, it'll really tell you how good it is. How much gristle is in it etc. This had NO PERCEPTION OF GRISTLE. NICE! Rating This was excellent. Prime protein, nice roll - Lisco's of course - well done. So you are prepared; While I will eat 1/2 of a sandwich and be very satisfied, the rolls are smaller. And the price of ALL steaks is higher. You know how your ice cream is shrunk? I actually didn't know my wife pointed out to me. Well, the rolls have shrunk. So sandwiches for four people will cost a minimum of $65 with tip. Get outside. It's worth it your kids will love it. I hope to be there. Thanks for a great sandwich.

Tons of seating in the back, prompt service from what seems like high schoolers and college students on their break. The walls are absolutely maxed out with photos of various news, sports, and other cultural icons. We had one of the Detroit-style pizzas and a salad. Pizza was solid-- don't think I'd have this every day for fear of a severe downturn in my health, but when it comes to game days or just a dinner with the guys, I'd totally make my way over here if I could (I can't but I wish I could). Ordering happens from the counter. Food comes out pretty promptly. Staff are friendly, even letting us stay a bit longer past the closure of the main dining area so we could finish up. Overall-- stop by for a unique experience here in PA.
