I go here frequently for their breakfast sandwiches. They are delicious and the owners are so friendly.

I've been here several times before today and I would say things were better. Today was awful. Where do I begin? Selection was poor, but I did buy stuffed pretzels. 1. They were all lacking filling. I mean by a lot! Nine bucks for a pretzel that isn't even half filled? 2. Everything I purchased was cold- not lukewarm...cold! The only decent thing was the dipping sauce. The prices are too high for what you get. When you can't even get a hot pretzel at a pretzel shop, you know you're at the wrong place. Philly Pretzel Factory in Lahaska is MUCH better and everything you buy, no matter what, is piping hot! read more

A darling little pretzel shop featuring not only gourmet stuffed pretzels but ice cream too! The Salt Box is not to be missed when in DTown. The interior of this place is lovely with its bright white minimalist yet welcoming decor. A large picnic table awaits those wanting to stay as well as plenty of outdoor seating. Everything is already made and on display at the large counter. Pretzels, pretzel nuggets, stuffed pretzels, such as Buffalo chicken, cheesesteak, pepperoni, even spinach artichoke. Breakfast sandwiches made with pretzel rolls, bacon sausage or pork roll with egg. Lots to choose from. Behind the counter friendly staff are eager to explain what they have, and help you with your pretzel choices. All in all a unique little place, and definitely worth a try. As for the pretzels, I would have to say, the pretzels, here are more of a slightly elevated Philly, pretzel, lacking the tug and pull of the ones we know and love. Firmer than Auntie Anne's and Amish pretzels - the Salt Box is one of a kind, gourmet level stuffed pretzels that can easily be eaten for lunch. Definitely big enough to split, but not too much for one to devour on their own. Finally checked out Salt Box and I am so thrilled! This area has so many great shops and restaurants, so I was so happy to find a locally owned place to get a fresh pretzel. To my surprise, they have so much more! I stopped right before they closed, but the usually have stuffed pretzels, breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and so much more! The Alabama Sweet Tea was perfectly brewed (from real tea bags) with just the right amount of sugar for this happy Southern girl! My pretzels even at the end of the day were fresh, chewy, and satisfied my snack cravings. I have had their pretzel bite boxes before during meetings, but I would have to say the cinnamon sugar bites are by far my favorite. The young man behind the counter was so quick, friendly and helpful. Plus, the prices are beyond acceptable so anyone can come in even on a limited budget. They do large trays of pretzel bites with sauces for under $40, so for your next meeting or tail gate, you need to check out Salt Box. My one word description of this place, WOW! I have driven past this place many times over the past few years and always wondered what they offer, I thought it was a candy store. I was passing bye today and thought I would stop in and check it out as I have recently heard they have good pretzels. I was surprised to see what they offered and tried the cream cheese stuffed pretzel and the cheesesteak pretzel. Both were absolutely amazing! I haven't had any pretzel this good ever, super delicious. The counter service was outstanding and the staff were very upbeat and friendly. I love this place and can't wait to visit again! The best pretzels around! I would buy a pretzel from The Salt Box over any other chain or store. They are so good and very much worth it, and worth supporting a local business and their friendly staff. Everything is made in house. I've had almost everything on the menu and my personal favorites are the sugared minis (cream dip-amazing), the roast beef with provolone, and the ribeye cheesesteak. Don't skip the egg sandwiches either. Way better than the Wawa next door. Highly recommended! read more

I really thought I already reviewed this , but apparently not! The salt box is a wonderful spot that has been on my list to try since they opened! They have a wide variety of pretzels including flavors and nuggets and sandwiches! Honestly so many to choose from! They also offer sweet pea ice cream and various drinks! The seating inside is limited but there is a lot of space outside as well! The staff was super sweet and helpful and the pricing was also really great for the quality! I opted for the cheesesteak stuffed pretzel and I can't wait to go back and order more flavors ! I wish they were open longer hours but I guess I'll just have to squeeze them in when they're open! read more

This place was definitely a hidden gem in my neighborhood. Drove by one day and decided to stop in. The place was packed but the line moved pretty quick. Small inside with not alot of seating but very homie and warm. Everything looked so amazing and the cashier who helped me had such an amazing smile and was very friendly as I asked 100 questions. I got 5 stuffed pretzels and they were pretty good. Roast beef was my favorite. I'll definitely be back because they will have beer soon and I didn't get to try icecream. read more

Clean, friendly, newish shop. The regular pretzels were okay, the stuffed pretzels were very good, indeed. The high quality of the ingredients shown through. The ice cream was okay; not very creamy. Huge minus were the flies landing on the openly displayed pretzels. (The stuffed pretzels are safely encased) We won't order open-air items because of all the flies. Yuck. (Sadly, if not for the flies our rating would be higher than "could have been better") *In response to the message from the owner, I am a former food industry manager. Your food is terrific, but the flies are a possible food pathogen exposure risk. Enclosing/encasing/covering food products is a regular practice to keep food products sanitary. A brief notice in "Travel and Leisure" led me to a visit to The Salt Box in New Hope, where I enjoyed a pre-theater luncheon that was WONDERFUL! It is perpendicular to the Delaware River, so the blazing fire in the bar's fireplace was welcome. As a solo-diner, I opted to sit at the bar where Ava crafted a tasty cocktail that included bourbon and apple cider. It was a seasonal special that perfectly fit the day's weather. The gentleman sitting next to me was a regular, so I asked his recommendation between the French Onion soup and Venison chili. I'm glad I followed his suggestion; the chili was excellent - and I don't usually select chili from a menu. It included a few small chili peppers, enabling the diner to select the degree of heat, as well as a dollop of sour cream. The service was friendly and prompt. My visit to The Salt Box was the first act my enjoyable day. read more

Dear lord, their roast beef pretzel sandwich should come with a pillow and blanket. It was one of the most satisfying sandwiches in recent memory. It came with a horseradish sauce on the side. We ventured to the Saltbox on Valentine's Day. It was hopping but we didn't have to wait long. We bought a a cheesesteak stuffed pretzel and an everything seasoning pretzel stuffed with cream cheese. I stopped into The Salt Box for the first time today and I LOVE it. The aesthetic draws you in right from the parking lot. It's such a chic, beautiful shop. From the barn doors out front to the clean, orderly interior, this little gem has such a lovely look. I was trying to take in the whole shop and all of their options, but I will definitely have to go back to try the full array. They've got plenty of stuffed pretzels; hot dog, Buffalo chicken, cheesesteak, etc. There are cinnamon sugar that look absolutely delightful. Some other varieties are spinach & feta, rosemary & mozzarella. They even have breakfast sandwiches that made my mouth water just looking at them. In a whirlwind, I ordered only a stuffed pretzel and a box of nuggets. (Wishing now that I would have tried more!) The nuggets were lightly crisp and salty on the outside. The inside was pillowy and chewy. The stuffed pretzel, when pulled apart, started dripping out Buffalo chicken dip.. it was truly STUFFED. The cheese sauce was perfectly hot and flavorful. In addition to their variety of pretzels, I saw some drinks for sale and a nice selection of dipping sauces as well. I already know that I'll be getting a breakfast sandwich, cheesesteak stuffed pretzel, and cinnamon sugar on my next visit. I'm excited to see this new establishment close to home! Everything was delicious and fresh. The people in our group ordered ice cream, milkshakes, water ice, soft pretzels, and stuffed pretzels. They had options for the vegan and dairy-free people in our group. It was beautifully decorated inside and they had a table long enough to accommodate our large group along with other small tables, chairs, and counter for people eating indoors.
