A darling little pretzel shop featuring not only gourmet stuffed pretzels but ice cream too! The Salt Box is not to be missed when in DTown. The interior of this place is lovely with its bright white minimalist yet welcoming decor. A large picnic table awaits those wanting to stay as well as plenty of outdoor seating. Everything is already made and on display at the large counter. Pretzels, pretzel nuggets, stuffed pretzels, such as Buffalo chicken, cheesesteak, pepperoni, even spinach artichoke. Breakfast sandwiches made with pretzel rolls, bacon sausage or pork roll with egg. Lots to choose from. Behind the counter friendly staff are eager to explain what they have, and help you with your pretzel choices. All in all a unique little place, and definitely worth a try. As for the pretzels, I would have to say, the pretzels, here are more of a slightly elevated Philly, pretzel, lacking the tug and pull of the ones we know and love. Firmer than Auntie Anne's and Amish pretzels - the Salt Box is one of a kind, gourmet level stuffed pretzels that can easily be eaten for lunch. Definitely big enough to split, but not too much for one to devour on their own. I look forward to returning again and again as the summer progresses, trying more of the pretzel concoctions as well as the ice cream.

Finally checked out Salt Box and I am so thrilled! This area has so many great shops and restaurants, so I was so happy to find a locally owned place to get a fresh pretzel. To my surprise, they have so much more! I stopped right before they closed, but the usually have stuffed pretzels, breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and so much more! The Alabama Sweet Tea was perfectly brewed (from real tea bags) with just the right amount of sugar for this happy Southern girl! My pretzels even at the end of the day were fresh, chewy, and satisfied my snack cravings. I have had their pretzel bite boxes before during meetings, but I would have to say the cinnamon sugar bites are by far my favorite. The young man behind the counter was so quick, friendly and helpful. Plus, the prices are beyond acceptable so anyone can come in even on a limited budget. They do large trays of pretzel bites with sauces for under $40, so for your next meeting or tail gate, you need to check out Salt Box. See the pics attached for a cute moment of two happy "customers" enjoying their pup cup! We will definitely be back soon for a meal and coffee!

My one word description of this place, WOW! I have driven past this place many times over the past few years and always wondered what they offer, I thought it was a candy store. I was passing bye today and thought I would stop in and check it out as I have recently heard they have good pretzels. I was surprised to see what they offered and tried the cream cheese stuffed pretzel and the cheesesteak pretzel. Both were absolutely amazing! I haven't had any pretzel this good ever, super delicious. The counter service was outstanding and the staff were very upbeat and friendly. I love this place and can't wait to visit again! I would also like to try their ice cream , I'll bet it's amazing!

The best pretzels around! I would buy a pretzel from The Salt Box over any other chain or store. They are so good and very much worth it, and worth supporting a local business and their friendly staff. Everything is made in house. I've had almost everything on the menu and my personal favorites are the sugared minis (cream dip-amazing), the roast beef with provolone, and the ribeye cheesesteak. Don't skip the egg sandwiches either. Way better than the Wawa next door. Highly recommended!

Breakfast sandwiches are amazing, so fresh. Best pretzels. Worth the drive from Delaware.

I really thought I already reviewed this , but apparently not! The salt box is a wonderful spot that has been on my list to try since they opened! They have a wide variety of pretzels including flavors and nuggets and sandwiches! Honestly so many to choose from! They also offer sweet pea ice cream and various drinks! The seating inside is limited but there is a lot of space outside as well! The staff was super sweet and helpful and the pricing was also really great for the quality! I opted for the cheesesteak stuffed pretzel and I can't wait to go back and order more flavors ! I wish they were open longer hours but I guess I'll just have to squeeze them in when they're open!

This place was definitely a hidden gem in my neighborhood. Drove by one day and decided to stop in. The place was packed but the line moved pretty quick. Small inside with not alot of seating but very homie and warm. Everything looked so amazing and the cashier who helped me had such an amazing smile and was very friendly as I asked 100 questions. I got 5 stuffed pretzels and they were pretty good. Roast beef was my favorite. I'll definitely be back because they will have beer soon and I didn't get to try icecream.

String beans, not my favorite vegetable, were delicious -- crisp and very garlicky. The menu says 'almondine' but I don't think they were. The beet puree is a nice aesthetic touch, albeit lacking distinct flavor. T went with the restaurant's spin on pot pie. The filling (roast chicken, carrots, onions, peas, celery and potatoes) was excellent. The pastry topping, somewhat brittle. We chose the Hattery because I had one thing in mind: al fresco dining. There are maybe five tables on the patio out front. The restaurant was formerly a hat factory (no surprise), cigar shop, shoe store and speakeasy during prohibition. It's located on the first floor of the historic Doylestown Inn, which is still in operation. (Note my photo of the lobby.) The Hattery's menu isn't extensive, but I think they cover most bases. It's worth a look if you happen to be downtown. But don't order a margarita if it's some kind of fruit concoction. We both gave it thumbs down.

It was all exciting about trying some very interesting dishes on the pre-fix meal, but unfortunately, it was not the stellar experience that I was hoping for. For starters, our server and "Director of First Impressions", Amber, was cold, aloof, and disconnected. She was just running through her role in a very detached manner. We made no connection with our server and the server is 50% of the experience. She was rushing. No one was there yet to take her time, and we felt that we had no connection with our server whatsoever. She didn't show any passion for the dishes other than sharing what she felt were her favorites. In a restaurant, speak in creative terms about the food, have and show passion for the food you represent. The four of us discussed the menu, and we all aligned and were going to taste around the table. Between the four of us, one tried the Thai pork dish, one the shrimp dish, and two the eggplant Parm dish. In summary, we all felt that they were underwhelming, and they missed their mark on expectation and wow factor. For example, the Thai pork dish that I had was supposed to have a Thai flair to it. If there was any, it was on the lower end of the flavor profile. It was a tiny dollop of some sort of red Thai chilli sauce, but it wasn't enough of a flavor profile to make me say yes, that's Thai-inspired, and frankly, it was lukewarm, yes the meat was tender. My wife and a friend had the eggplant Parm dish and also felt uninspired by their dishes. One was overcooked compared to the other; the two asked for additional sauce to give it some more flavor. Yes, it was a nice evening out, and you get a lot for your money with a multi-course dining experience. One other oddity. During the dessert course, which was a type of bread pudding, we were not offered coffee nor tea. Even it would have been extra, who doesn't offer a hot beverage with dessert, especially in the artic temps we are experiencing this winter. I had nearly an hour drive home, and coffee would have been most appreciated. Oh well. So in summary, I would have expected this to be a five-star review all day long. Unfortunately, it's not even close,e and this is coming from 2 couples opinion.

This wasn't because of poor service or bad food, because those are both pretty good. This was really just due to the atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, it's a newer building and well-maintained (and clean). But gives me "Tea Room" vibes from the colors to the plants. With that said, I won't let this affect my review. Our last visit was on Saturday night. It was a strange night because on Sunday, we were set to be hit with snowstorm Fern. You could tell that people were bracing for what would come. To me, it was very reminiscent of just before the lockdowns for COVID-19 in 2020. Anyways, moving on from my memories of that! We sat at the bar, which is always my favorite seat in any restaurant, but we don't do much as normally we have our six-year old son with us. Not tonight! There were two (or maybe three) bartenders. It's a large bar, probably about 20 seats, and at 4:30 pm, they were all open but 2. We started with a few cocktails, an Espresso Martini for my wife and the Torched Orange Negroni for me. The drinks were good...the Negroni was too good and went down too quickly; time to switch to beer I guess. For appetizers, we ordered the Fried Cauliflower: crispy cauliflower tossed in pastrami spice, served with tangy mustard aioli; and the Artisanal Cheese Board: a curated selection of local cheeses, tangy pickles, fresh fruit, sweet preserves, crunchy crostini, and golden honey (and yes, we added the prosciutto for $4 more). The cauliflower was pretty good; it wasn't breaded, which I was happy about, and both the spice and aioli added good flavor and contrast. It wasn't that hot, but I didn't think anything of that (more on this later). The cheeseboard was larger than I expected. Several mixed berries, five different (large pieces) of cheese, the priscuotto, and some crackers. All good. The crackers were probably the highlight and the most disappointing item. They were very good, heavily flavored with rosemary and the perfect crunch and salt. But, they overpowered the delicate cheeses. My wife likes a cracker with some cheese, but in this case, we just ate them separately (still very good). For entrees, my wife ordered the Shrimp and Blue Crab Bucatini: green garlic butter, fresh scallions, and spicy Calabrian chili oil; and I ordered the Terrain Burger: 8 oz. grass-fed beef, Cabot Creamery white cheddar, sweet balsamic onion jam, brioche bun, simply dressed greens, with an egg (cooked to order over easy) and bacon. And since we were facing the snowpocalypse, I ordered the Truffle and Pecorino Fries for an upcharge instead of the normal salad that comes with it (more tea room vibes here?). My wife's plate looked very good, and I'm always happy to see when a pasta dish with seafood isn't ruined with a heavy red sauce. Instead, a light butter sauce complements the light flavors of the seafood. My wife took a bite and said, "Whoa, that's spicy," but the subsequent bites showed that perhaps she had the only Calabrian chili in the first bite, and it was not mixed through. She did mention to me that her food was just lukewarm (cauliflower flashback?). I briefly wrote this off because sometimes she likes her food far too hot (temperature)...but maybe she was right. I was first surprised when mine arrived. I was expecting fries doused with fake truffle oil and some grated pecorino on top. Instead, I saw fries that had a truffle cheese grated on them, not quite melted yet. It honestly tasted good and was a good change. But it wouldn't melt; my wife was correct with the food being lukewarm. My fries were cool, so the cheese never melted, and the burger seemed cool too. Now, that aside, the burger was cooked to a perfect medium and was seasoned well. It was good! All in all, it is a good restaurant. It's a little on the high end price-wise for what you get, but it is a good change. I will return and think about my Tea Room fears as I hopefully enjoy another meal at the bar.

Sometimes dishes like this do not have as much topping as I like. in this case it was perfect. Finally for dessert, we had the Barry callout chocolate cake. People in the US do not realize how good of chocolate Callout makes but you can taste it in the cake.
