Aside from the painted walls and ceiling, the cafe falls short. The food is overpriced, costing $16+ for pre-made salads and sandwiches that have sat in the display case all day and $4 for chips. The staff wasn't very helpful either. There was an older customer who struggled to read the chip labels and reach the chips on the lower level and there was an employee right next to them the entire time. It seemed obvious they saw the customer and chose to pack away their stuff and move around the counter to the other side avoiding them. At checkout, the other staff members were more focused on chatting with each other rather than helping the customers.

The food is pricey which is fine if it was edible. The tables are dirty and are tossed around like they landed there after a category five hurricane. Two women behind the counter just chatting away. The food was awful. The sandwich bread was hard and nasty. Since the hostess at Rat's had been awful to us, it was this or nothing. These two restaurants almost ruined the great experience I had at Grounds for Sculpture.

Van Gogh Cafe is located in the welcome center of Ground For Sculpture. The roof was the painting of Van Gogh - "The Starry Night " in digital format. The staff was friendly and helped us warm up our coffee which was cooled down due to cold weather. There is soy milk option which is my favorite and with additional charge in other places at self-serving bar. Their pastries looked delicious but we didn't have chance to try this time.

They ran out of many items by the time we ordered so only got a tuna sandwich and some soda. Seating outside is plentiful and nice views.

During my recent visits, I noticed some inconsistencies in portion sizes. At first, I thought it might just be a one time thing, but today I had a chance to observe a few orders being prepared while waiting for my husband's smoothie. It seemed like some bowls were filled above the measuring line, while mine was slightly under. I completely understand that things can vary during busy times, but I just wanted to mention it as feedback. Consistency in portions would really help ensure all customers feel they're getting the same value. I'm sharing this with the intention of being helpful, as I do enjoy coming here and hope to continue supporting your business.

I enjoyed the vibe right away. It felt welcoming, and I could hear people around me enjoying their meals, which is always a good sign. I only ordered coffee (there's just one size option), and it was good and hot -- although my lid was cracked. They do offer either a to-go cup or a mug if you're staying, which I liked. I do wish there were a few more small Danish or pastry options to grab with a coffee. Sometimes you just want a simple little something on the side. The only thing I was curious about was the music. Worship songs were playing the entire time. I wasn't sure if the owners are religious or if the staff just didn't realize what station was on. It's definitely a bold choice and might not resonate with everyone, depending on their beliefs. That said, it didn't ruin my visit -- just something I noticed. Overall, I'd return and would be happy to stop by again for another review soon. **After posting and reading other reviews... maybe I came (in the morning) at a bad time and there weren't pastries available?

The ultimate breakfast came with pancakes or French toast, two eggs and a protein. There is a smaller combo that basically is the same size. I could've sworn in previous months or years that they also would give you toast and fruit or home fries on top of it. That would really make it the ultimate breakfast. But the portion size was a lot to be desired. I have the corned beef hash, which was OK, and it was not too salty, which I feared. However, I think they were using a lot more potatoes and only a little bit of corned beef which made it a little bit of a letdown. The service was pretty good and the ambience was as good as I remember. They got rid of the bocce ball in the front in order to have more tables outside. Time to try some other places.

The staff really sets this place apart, though. Everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and happy to make recommendations, which we've never regretted following. A friend recently moved to Morrisville and I found myself in the area at lunchtime after a visit. I wanted to try a few things but it looked as though the steak was a big one, so I just had that. The fries that came with it were very good too. As was foretold, the steak was one of the best I've had in years. Let me start with the roll, long seeded torp that had a light toasting. ALL steaks should be so lucky as to have this as a delivery vehicle, most sandwiches too. The beef was tender and nicely seasoned and cheese and onions were evenly distributed throughout. The portion size/cost was very fair, this was 2 meals for me. My only critique would be on the Cooper American cheese used. I would prefer a sharper cheese, Cooper sharp or even provolone. I'll inquire if there are other options. Even if there weren't, I'd still get this anytime. I saw several other lunch items of interest to me, and in the right frame of mind and early enough several breakfast options too. Service was friendly and fast. I'll likely be back next for the shrimp tacos, or just another steak. I'm at a 4.5 with just the one visit, stay tuned....

Such a unique and large space with seating on both sides (1 side is a coffee bar and the other is the kitchen). Such a great concept. Their menu has so many delicious sounding items but I decided since it was my first time to try "staples" which was a sandwich and soup combo. The cheddar broccoli soup was spectacular! The flavor and heartiness won me over. I tried the pear and gouda panini as my 1/2 sandwich which was also quite tasty. Oh and my iced raspberry cheesecake cappuccino was my favorite! Soooooo dreamy. And the customer service was great too. The cashier was super patient with me as I took forever to review the menu and decide on what I wanted. I will definitely be back even though it isn't close to my home which says something. First of all, it is the closest takeout restaurant to the Civil courthouse( also known as the place where potential jurors come to check in and wait to be called) I love that they share a small storefront with a florist, but it does make for tight quarters, esp during the ordering and waiting process. And the customer service was top notch. My first visit was for a lunch order. It was difficult trying to read the specials of the day menu, let alone the standard menu. This was due to timing, several people were ordering and or waiting. Once chicken quesadillas caught my eye I stopped reading. My selection came out fairly quickly and was packaged with small containers of salsa Fresca and sour cream. But I'm pretty sure menu read that some type of salad was also included, this was left out. They were pretty good too, well seasoned pulled chicken and cheese, the flour tortillas were perfectly grilled and stayed that way even in the package. It was a nice serving and I would have really enjoyed had it come with a fresh and simple salad. I would order again as well. My next two visits were just for a pick me up bakery item. The pumpkin muffin was excellent. The chocolate chip one was not very good. Not enough chips and a dry texture. But during each trip the owner was right up front and being helpful and friendly to all. I feel that this spirit does go into the food that is prepared and served here. Good spot for locals, workers and even the confused juror.

Walk past their kitchen and it is Amoroso's Flower Shop, where you can still buy a bouquet of roses for your anniversary. Love the adaptive reuse of this old storefront on S. Broad Street, Trenton; right across from the very old courthouse. It is hard to find driving by, and there are seldom parking spaces within the surrounding area. But, if you work or live in the neighborhood, or go to the new civil or criminal courts, you can walk over and pick up soup, sandwich, breakfast muffin, etc., on your way to the office. It closes at 2:00 pm. Service is exemplary given how small the space is. The two friendlies who helped me out were attractive and efficient. One made up my grilled chicken chipotle wrap, while the other provided the history of the business and worked the register. Both were happy to pose for photos when I pulled out my Yelp screen after ordering. You can see the results. The lunch was very good. Fresh, quality ingredients and TLC. Plenty of stuffing for a large wrap. It was enough for two meals. @ $8.50, it was a spectacular deal. Too bad there is no place to sit, because the room is comfy in a cramped way, and it would be nice to absorb more atmosphere from the winsome workers.
