The food is pricey which is fine if it was edible. The tables are dirty and are tossed around like they landed there after a category five hurricane. Two women behind the counter just chatting away. The food was awful. The sandwich bread was hard and nasty. Since the hostess at Rat's had been awful to us, it was this or nothing. These two restaurants almost ruined the great experience I had at Grounds for Sculpture.

Van Gogh Cafe is located in the welcome center of Ground For Sculpture. The roof was the painting of Van Gogh - "The Starry Night " in digital format. The staff was friendly and helped us warm up our coffee which was cooled down due to cold weather. There is soy milk option which is my favorite and with additional charge in other places at self-serving bar. Their pastries looked delicious but we didn't have chance to try this time.

We took a break from the walk and decided to grab a quick bite.. the menu options/prices were decent, they had sweet baked goods, chips, hot chocolate, hummus, etc... we got the chocolate croissant, blueberry muffin and coffee (which was a bit tasteless). Pretty disappointed that they only had outdoor seating... was really looking forward to the interior decor. We sat by the koi fish pond and enjoy the nice breeze with the baked goods.

Picnic in the park deal: wine, summer tapas, and 2 sandwiches!

They ran out of many items by the time we ordered so only got a tuna sandwich and some soda. Seating outside is plentiful and nice views.

The owner -- who I thought was a customer, and a few of the staff were outside of Crave making a video for their social media and I was completely unaware of what was going on. Instead of me having patiences, and figure out what was going on, I became a bit impatient and got a little frustrated, because I was trying to park (typical New Jerseyan). The owner explained to me what they were doing and instead of me being more understanding, I was a bit immature and had an attitude. I want to apologize for that! I was completely blown away with how amazing the food was. How friendly and knowledgeable the staff is, and the atmosphere in there makes you feel like you're in your little own oasis, not NJ! I got the Hungry Man bowl -- 10/10. -- Roasted potatoes served with broccoli, burnt carrots, cheddar cheese, bacon, chimichurri steak, drizzled in their basil pesto. Also 2 kids bowls, one was for my uncle because he can't eat large portions anymore. My son tore his up and once I got to UPenn and my uncle woke up from a nap he ate half. They both enjoyed it very much! The steak and chicken were juicy, tender, and full of flavor. I really enjoyed every bite of the Hungry Man bowl! I highly recommend this place if you want to eat clean delicious-and nutritious food!

During my recent visits, I noticed some inconsistencies in portion sizes. At first, I thought it might just be a one time thing, but today I had a chance to observe a few orders being prepared while waiting for my husband's smoothie. It seemed like some bowls were filled above the measuring line, while mine was slightly under. I completely understand that things can vary during busy times, but I just wanted to mention it as feedback. Consistency in portions would really help ensure all customers feel they're getting the same value. I'm sharing this with the intention of being helpful, as I do enjoy coming here and hope to continue supporting your business.

Such a unique and large space with seating on both sides (1 side is a coffee bar and the other is the kitchen). Their menu is so unique and they also have a "test kitchen" menu where they'll have creations from the kitchen that they make and if they're popular enough they make the big menu. Such a great concept. Their menu has so many delicious sounding items but I decided since it was my first time to try "staples" which was a sandwich and soup combo. The cheddar broccoli soup was spectacular! The flavor and heartiness won me over. I tried the pear and gouda panini as my 1/2 sandwich which was also quite tasty. Oh and my iced raspberry cheesecake cappuccino was my favorite! Soooooo dreamy. And the customer service was great too. The cashier was super patient with me as I took forever to review the menu and decide on what I wanted. I will definitely be back even though it isn't close to my home which says something. So happy I discovered this place.

The panini was nice and crisp on the outside and the turkey with melted Brie was really good. However, I never heard the end of it from my family. My own experiences here tended to be in the 3.5 or higher range but I feel confident that rounding…read moreup to 4 is warranted. First of all, it is the closest takeout restaurant to the Civil courthouse( also known as the place where potential jurors come to check in and wait to be called) I love that they share a small storefront with a florist, but it does make for tight quarters, esp during the ordering and waiting process. And the customer service was top notch. My first visit was for a lunch order. It was difficult trying to read the specials of the day menu, let alone the standard menu. This was due to timing, several people were ordering and or waiting. Once chicken quesadillas caught my eye I stopped reading. My selection came out fairly quickly and was packaged with small containers of salsa Fresca and sour cream. But I'm pretty sure menu read that some type of salad was also included, this was left out. They were pretty good too, well seasoned pulled chicken and cheese, the flour tortillas were perfectly grilled and stayed that way even in the package. It was a nice serving and I would have really enjoyed had it come with a fresh and simple salad. I would order again as well. My next two visits were just for a pick me up bakery item. The pumpkin muffin was excellent. The chocolate chip one was not very good. Not enough chips and a dry texture. But during each trip the owner was right up front and being helpful and friendly to all. I feel that this spirit does go into the food that is prepared and served here. Good spot for locals, workers and even the confused juror.

Lexi Lu's Café is a strange setup…read more Up front it is a well designed, attractive take out shop. Walk past their kitchen and it is Amoroso's Flower Shop, where you can still buy a bouquet of roses for your anniversary. Love the adaptive reuse of this old storefront on S. Broad Street, Trenton; right across from the very old courthouse. It is hard to find driving by, and there are seldom parking spaces within the surrounding area. But, if you work or live in the neighborhood, or go to the new civil or criminal courts, you can walk over and pick up soup, sandwich, breakfast muffin, etc., on your way to the office. It closes at 2:00 pm. Service is exemplary given how small the space is. The two friendlies who helped me out were attractive and efficient. One made up my grilled chicken chipotle wrap, while the other provided the history of the business and worked the register. Both were happy to pose for photos when I pulled out my Yelp screen after ordering. You can see the results. The lunch was very good. Fresh, quality ingredients and TLC. Plenty of stuffing for a large wrap. It was enough for two meals. @ $8.50, it was a spectacular deal. Too bad there is no place to sit, because the room is comfy in a cramped way, and it would be nice to absorb more atmosphere from the winsome workers.
