Came across this cafe when I was in the area and wanted a highly rated coffee spot (thank you, Yelp!). Not only is the name of the spot totally deserved-- the brew WAS slammin'-- but surprise, they also have a whole menu of savory, real food! The owner and cashier were super nice! Very accommodating to my dietary restrictions and the owner mentioned that they do lots of GF offerings (jackpot!) I saw they have a whole catering menu too, so that must be nice for the oddles of offices around there. Casual/semi-whimsy-semi-industrial vibe inside, with lots of space to site comfortably with a friend or by yourself. Seriously though, the folks were super nice and the coffee was the star of the show more than I expected. Very good stuff, indeed! read more

I've been here multiple times and they mess up a LOT. One of the employees doesn't seem to care at all he's the one who always messes up. It's a white man with brown hair. I wanted to support a small business but I've given them more than enough chances to know that this place isn't worth going to. You're better off just going to the Dunkin' Donuts a block away. I had to throw away my drink right after receiving it because it was disgusting. They also take a while to make your drink which would be fine if it was actually made properly. read more

Super friendly staff. There's a few spots to sit by the entrance on couches and small tables as well as a high top along the window with quirky bicycle stools. I also appreciated that there is a book shelf for entertainment. I ordered the ricotta toast and couldn't decide between the different jams and the team member making the toast was super receptive to my indecisiveness and allowed me to try both the pepper jelly and strawberry jam on it. Super huge portion and overall tasted great. I think I would opt for the sliced to be cut into smaller pieces as it was overwhelming to eat. A suggestion would be to use baguette/different types of bread or to toast the bread a bit more. The slammin trenton was very filling and the hash brown in the sandwich made it a great choice. Though this also was a little difficult to bite into as it was filled with a lot of food. I also didn't know if there was ketchup but that would've made been great to have. The cookie butter latte with oat milk was perfect. Not too sweet and the espresso was bold for the drink to not be too milky. Glad to have an option in downtown Trenton walkable from the office since all of the issues with Starbucks staying or leaving has become a problem. I'll continue to support local when I need a cup of coffee or breakfast treat. read more

Very inconsistent.A couple of visits ago I met owner who was fantastic. Been back a few times and not good experiences. Last time I orders a sandwich it too 4 attempts because if items that weren't available. This time I tried ordering a caprese sandwich and didn't want the fresh mix melted like last time. The "manager" told me couldn't get it that way as they are using shredded cheese and the fresh is for pizzas. Enough said no desire to go back. Just wanted to warn everyone that you may not get what you ordered or shown in pictures. read more

Great local coffee shop! We needed a new coffee shop in the area. They have a wide drink selection with a variety of different cold foams. I usually get the cold brew or iced latte with vanilla cold foam. I've also had grilled cheese for lunch. It was good too! But I didn't know that I could customize the grilled cheese--next time I'll be customizing a bit. Nice people and a cool space! read more

Place is horrible- their menu does not reflect what they have. The staff is inept. I do not recommend under any circumstance! Waste of a visit! Their phone goes to voice mail so you can not call ahead, I went there twice- no tuna and no PBJ- menu selection is poor and needs to be updated. As I said I do not recommend. read more

A great spot for an early morning breakfast, anytime lunch or just coffee. I haven't had their coffee yet but their breakfast sandwich is generous in size and they don't skimp on the good stuff (for me that's the cheese!) plus they offer customizations. Yesterday I stopped in and was SO HAPPY that I did! They had an Eggplant Parm Sandwich on the menu (which is rare near my job) and it was FABULOUS!!!!!
